Eastman's Fishing Fleet
I was in the other side of the boat! We filled 2 buckets and a trash can! Just me and my dad. Phill is the best captain
He’s the best!!!
@StriperScott f9r the life of me I can't understand why you try to break your rod soooo many times and refuse to listen to the advice of the crew. Maybe it's your 1st trip on a boat like this so I can't be to hard on you if that's the case. Your lucky to still have a rod . Hopefully this trips was added up to lesson learned
Now that’s what I call an incredible day of fishing! That school must have been massive down there. Great to see and congrats on your winter stockpile!
The jigs couldn’t get the bottom, they were slamming them at 30 to 50 feet, best fishing of my life! Thanks so much for watching!
Now that is a great end of the year. The fishing gods were festive. You have a stocked freezer!
Oh...It was...In...sane! You hitting the ice (if we get any) this year?
@@StriperScott Doubtful. Its never cold enough. An exec at my company did invite me to try it out in central NY.
We went out on Eastmans in Feb. of 2024, I wish I had my GoPro because the pollock fishing was crazy! Side note: id love to link up sometime and go fishing, you have commented on my videos in the past but with two young ones I stopped for a little bit, but hopefully I will be back at it ASAP.
Definitely! I go mostly in the fall but sometimes do a few in the summer
Great! I am going again for this weekend!
Let me know how you do!
beautiful trip and great fishing, one point, if you put your left hand in front of the reel instead of behind the reel, you will have much better control and will be easier on your wrist.....good holidays and thx for the video
GREAT ADVICE! Thanks for watching!
Nice job Scott!
Wish you were in the boat bud, it was nuts!!!!
had to smile when you left the wrap up on yer reel
best day of fishing, and I made so many rookie mistakes!
It's time for you to get an Ugly stik tiger M/H. Brought in a 60# tuna, bent that rod like a upsidedown U and it came back true.
Nice Day, Happy New Year. Just went on Eastman's on 1/23/2024 Epic!
Thanks so much for watching! The bite is still on fire,
I was on the boat the day before your trip. I got 26 pollocks
Fantastic, that must have been about 60 pounds of filets as well then?
@@StriperScott yes. Filets filled the whole cooler
@@zhenhuanzhang9206 wish we could have fished together again!
some day for sure @@StriperScott
Great video. All out slaughter. When was this trip. Do they bite like this in January and February.
This was just a few days ago on 12/31. Pollock show up all year in the Gulf of Maine, however, the larger ones appear later in the year. By October they are in full spawn mode. While spawning they are everywhere, but won't eat. Once they have spawned, they are RAVENOUS and hit everything and anything. People were catching them with hooks that had no bait on them. The bite will turn off over night. No one knows when that will be. Usually it's the first week in January, but it's never been this intense in the 10 years I've been going. Thanks for watching.
Hell yea brother
It was an AWESOME day bro!
Insane pollock bite!!!
Going back out on Monday! It was another SLAM today!!!
Why did you have to head back early, thought there was no limit on pollock
The boat ran out of room, and it still took another 2 hours to finish fileting at dock! You are 100% correct no limit on pollock over 19”
@@StriperScott how many fish you end up with, i have been out many many times but never head back early. we have caught max limit for haddock but we would always search for more. its some 7 year thing with the water weather brings in tons of pollock.
well head back early cause of weather but not too many fish@@StriperScott
@@incredible5587 I got those two totes worth, measured in at 60 pounds. Incredible day!
60 pounds of filets that is
Hey I didn’t see the marathon available on the website for January, would you call into Eastman for this?
Marathons end in October, then the 10 hour trips end in November. So it’s just a standard trip, 630 to 3 or 7 to 330. Best fishing I’ve ever seen!
13:03 Whats up with the way you have your line running off the spool????
That day was a trainwreck. I rushed everything and completely mislooped the spool when I went to reset. The fishing was over in 59 minutes, and when I looked up I was ghastly ashamed. Best fishing day of my life though. Thanks for watching
Great video!👍👍 What size jigs are you using?
I use 16 ounce, but I recommend 12 ounce instead. You local?
Thanks! I am from New York City, planning to track my way north this year, hope to see you on one of these trips. Cheers.@@StriperScott
Damn! NYC!??!? I grew up in Stamford CT in the 70s! USed to goto NYC once in awhile, somehow I bet it's changed a bit!@@tsienj
Stamford CT!? Ha, My dad used to run a Chinese restaurant on High Ridge Road off Merritt Parkway back in the 80s, I would drive up from Queens to work there on weekends and summers. Stamford really boomed when many financial institutions move there in 2000s, and thus the horrible traffic jams on I-95. Joe. @@StriperScott
Nice video hit up ledge life tackle and he can make you a quality rod that boat flip them pollock without a problem.
Ledge Life Tackle you say? Where are they located?
Go get 'em, man! How deep were you fishing (even if you didn't make it to the bottom!)?
we were in about 200' of water, but they were all above 50', or let's just say no one made it deeper than 50'! UNBELIEVABLE day! Thanks so much for watching!
I missed a good day!!
Oh…best 90 min of my life!!!
Where is this at? East coast
Seabrook, NH. The boat heads 30 miles into the gulf of Maine Crazy fishing this time of year.
The gaff is on the left
lol! Yes but customers aren’t allowed to use it 😀
@@StriperScott I have been on that very boat and used gaffs. I do tend not to go in December though. You nailed the big black backs. I tend to go on the other side of the harbor for Deep sea fishing. Tight lines.
Beer batter is best.
Oh...if you have a recipie...let me know.
There’s more carnage here than in the Middle East!
Oh my!
