Not really Phillips Head screws that attach the cover, they're JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) screws. You risk damaging the screws if you use a standard Phillips Head screwdriver.
9:40 I have a "DUMB" question, is there a "Linux" compatible driver available anywhere? I would really like to do this all via a Linux based pc nowadays???
hello i have a yaesu ft 2000d can you post a video for this radio installation i have omni rig and a panadapter i also have the sdr rsa1a. having trouble.
I stripped one of mine out using a Phillips screwdriver. I finally had to use another Phillips bit attached to a cordless hammer drill. Just the tapping of the hammer drill broke the screws free. Out of 14 screws, three of them wouldn't budge with a regular screwdriver.
The company that makes these is seriously price gouging. If we had that type of extra money we would of used it toward the 7610. Does any company care about the consumer anymore?
This is an elegant video showing how simple it is to install the SDR to make a large screen panadapter for one's IC-7300. Thanks, Ken!
Thanks for watching, Scott!
Really??????
Thanks for the video Ken. I'm saving now to get this radio.
I have one screw that is so tight on top. Suggestions on taking out before I strip it?
use a heat gun on low and heat it up a bit

What is JIS, and what's the difference? I have Phillips and Reed & Prince, never heard of JIS.
Can you still use the rig control that's in most logging software?

Just a doubt, in case the radio's touch screen goes qrt will the on screen display work. Thanks
Very good!
Can it be used with SDRplay RSPdx???
yes
Other than mounting issues, can the PTRX-7300 and Inrad RX7300 be installed and used simultaneously? A panadapter and second receive antenna.
Did you move any further with this idea? I'm currently waiting on parts to install both in mine....
When you transmit, everything is safe not overloading the SDR receiver ?
lol this thing sucks. you need the sdr and a board? and a laptop that wont lag? waste of time and money
@@1112223333111 What a stupid comment.
How do you loosen the screws? Mine are so tight, I am afraid I'll strip them out!
Stripping them is easy to do. Make sure your screwdriver fits perfectly, press down firmly and unscrew slowly, you should be ok

heat them up a bit with a heat gun
Be nice if the packaging was ESD safe....
Any solution for FTDX-5000?
BU2AH革命 The 5000 has a IF output.
Thanks. Good video!
Thank you for watching!

Will this panadapter work with RSP Duo?
Anybody sell this in the UK? Mike M0FCG M1KEY
Buy an rsp1a . They're made in England
What are the correct baud rate and com ports? Thanks, de N5DHT
The baud rate is what you have the 7300 set with for CAT. The com ports are those you are using for your 7300 CAT control.
@@RSwrightMD another bull$hit reply from a bull$hitter.
@@jimmeeGray Wow, you're a grade A troll aren't you? lol
@@Michael-nd7gh that's not what she said. Lol
@@jimmeeGray awesome story, bro.
So, you end up paying $239 for this unit and another $119 for SDRPLAY?
or even more if you want the high end SDRPlay.
200+ without SDR.. ok bye.
