This is also the same reason why he chose to 1v1 Jin on the bridge. Jin was alone and bravely slicing through Castle Kaneda just to save his uncle, ultimately proving his worth so that he gets a chance to duel Khotun, despite being severely outmatched.

I see many people saying the defeat of Mongols was merely because of the typhoon, but that theory comes from the propaganda that "Japan is a divine land protected by gods" which is ridiculous tbh. The modern history researches show that in 1274 they were hit by only a "strong wind" when they were retreating. In 1281, the second time they tried to invade Japan with the world biggest fleet back then, they were hit by a proper typhoon also when they were beginning to retreat(military leaders had already left the Mongolian/Korean fleet back for the continent). And the second time the typhoon didn't end the fleet, but only weakened and samurai were the ones who ended them. There was gonna be the third attempt to invade Japan, but the Kaxan's men told him not to for some reasons.

At the completion of this battle, Japan's victory was confirmed.
Yeah the historical accounting was way different in that battle , it was fought with horse and bow until the very end , swords weren't drawn untill the samurai were surrounded
There was no Samurai in Thusima island at the time when Mongol invaded Japan. Thusima was a home of Japanese raiders for long time. We are Samurai? What a silly game.
They used bows to greater effect than their swords as swords are a side weapon. History always has to come a knockin. Yes I know it's a video game but still they could have done better
I believe a very small portion actually made it to the islands and even captured a couple of forts and towns/villages but got quickly rekt cuz the mainland thought all of them died in the sea and did not send any reinforcements.
They successfully captured Tsushima and another island before they reached the mainland during the two invasions. Once they reached the mainland that's when the tsunamises hit them.

Thousands of Mongolian soldiers were massed in Torikai-Gata. Suenaga Takezaki(竹崎季長), one of the Japanese commanders, attacked the Mongolian army and fought them. Soon, reinforcements led by Michiyasu Shiraisi(白石通泰) arrived and defeated the Mongolians soundly. The Mongolian casualties of this battle were about 3,500.[18]
Withdrawal of Mongol army[edit]
Due to the defeat in battle of Torikai-Gata, the Mongolian army was exhausted and withdrew to their ships. On seeing this situation, the Japanese army engaged in night attacks and killed many soldiers. Finally, Hong Dagu decided to withdraw to the Yuan-held continent. In the midst of withdrawal, they met a typhoon, most of their ships sank and many soldiers drowned.[19]
Second invasion.
Main battles of the Kōan Campaign

Battle of Shikano Island - Japanese victory[edit]
On the morning of June 8, the Japanese army divided their force into two and attacked along Umi no Nakamichi.[26] The Japanese army lost 300 soldiers but defeated Hong Dagu, who nearly died in this battle, and Zhang Cheng.[27]
On June 9 Zhang Cheng solidified the defense of his army but the Mongolian army was again defeated by the fierce Japanese attacks.[28] After this defeat the Mongolian army escaped to Iki Island.[28]
Battle of Iki Island - Japanese victory[edit]
On June 29, a Japanese army of approximately 10,000, led by the Matsura Clan, Ryuzoji Clan and Takagi Clan began an all-out attack on Iki Island.[29] On July 2, Iekiyo Ryuzoji landed on Setoura beach and defeated the Mongolian army. As a result, the Mongolian army decided to abandon Iki Island and withdrew to Hirato Island.[30]

At the completion of this battle, Japan's victory was confirmed.
Tf do you want 80 samurai to do against 1,000 Mongols? Of course they lost.
Cowards without honor deserve no mercy!
NO!! MERCY!!
I love this Game
Lol, 13rd century samurais charging with sword instead bow and naginata.
Yeah the historical accounting was way different in that battle , it was fought with horse and bow until the very end , swords weren't drawn untill the samurai were surrounded
I too watched a UA-cam video on 13th century samurai. Where do I claim my cookies?
This game isn’t focused on “aCcuRaCy” it’s focused on how to pay a homage to akira Kurosawa.
There was no Samurai in Thusima island at the time when Mongol invaded Japan. Thusima was a home of
Japanese raiders for long time. We are Samurai? What a silly game.
It's not supposed to be historically accurate.
Thusima island? Tsushima* and yes there were samurai. But your name seems you are a foreigner so u can’t talk.
nice watched full
This is Japanese version of assassins creed
Yeah, like Assassin's Creed Valhalla
No
No, this is nothing like assassin's creed.
The depth of combat and stance is way much deeper than the dull button mashing of the AC's.
If there's no hidden blades, then it isn't AC.
Assassin's Creed is made by Uwe Boll, GHOST of Tsushima is made by Martin Scorsese 😆 🤣
このクオリティを何故日本で作れない、、、。
They used bows to greater effect than their swords as swords are a side weapon. History always has to come a knockin. Yes I know it's a video game but still they could have done better
When the samurai charge you can see their arrows raining on the Mongols
i like this game its very good and in it tushima island is soo good and in this jin sakai is a ghost
Girls when accidentally meet another girls at school tour:Omg hello
Boys when accidentally meet another boys at school tour:
If a samurai says the enemy is brutal then Mongols were on another level of Bloodlust. My Upu Naomei Chingis Haan Course through me. Hussa Fact.
I really thought jin died in this scene
May i know...what game is this....its similar to Assassin creed...i like this type of game
Muhammad Faizal Ghost of Tsushima.
Is it a game or a movie?
Why we got samurais from animes? Lol
i like when of starting of the game you were at komda beach when lord shimura say charge its a movie bro
A samurai assassin's Creed game would be amazing if Ubisoft made it like this or at least similar to it
1:29 what bgm?
Cowards without honor deserve no mercy. NO MERCY!
OPEN FIRE!
FOR TSUSHIMA!
CHAAAARRGGE!!!!
日本人なのに全員~~~“英語”うまい~
average height of true samurai is 1.3m
Personal opinion: I think the japanese version of Shimura feels more tense
Japanese samurai is superior to Mongolian barbecue
I thought the mongols never made it to japan, they got wrecked by 2 tsunamis or whatever
To reach Japan from Tsushima, it will take like 90 miles or less 😆 🤣
I believe a very small portion actually made it to the islands and even captured a couple of forts and towns/villages but got quickly rekt cuz the mainland thought all of them died in the sea and did not send any reinforcements.
Well, no they didn’t they reached Tsushima but were pushed back by the samurai. And later we’re destroyed in a tsunami.
Before they reach the land of japan the mongols invaded tsushima island first
They successfully captured Tsushima and another island before they reached the mainland during the two invasions. Once they reached the mainland that's when the tsunamises hit them.
I named my horse KAGE
Epic scene,Ubisoft fucking see how this kind of games should be made
How many of them died in the battle of Tsushima
Maybe a thousand or oess
It was 80 samurai against 80000 Mongolian
Good job 👍 is Samurai
