Great analysis. SOS is the usual suggested introductory song to Dimash's voice. It is a very nice song, but It is by no means the most technically demanding song in his repertoire. Here are some suggestions to go on as next steps: - "Sinful Passion'" is a must listen, it has the most impressive and long run at the end, that no one can reproduce at this time. - "Opera 2" is an incredible display of confidence and stage presence, very fun to listen to and watch. - "Love is Like a Dream", a very classy love song, in which he displays the richness of his lower range, and then a bit more. - "Hello" is also a good song displaying his mastery of Middle Eastern style melismas. - "Be with Me" is a fun modern pop song with a bit of rap. Yes he does that too. - "Stranger", with its 5 octaves melody. Whatever you do , do not jump directly to "The Story of One Sky"', you're not quite ready for that one yet.
I agree. It is good to react to those older songs so as to appreciate where he is now. The last songs would be stranger, el amor en to and story of one sky. These would be the latter part when the older ones are done. Very good reaction. Awaiting for the next one.
Dimash is to voice what Michelangelo is to art. The world does not have a recorded artist that has ever been as capable in all forms of vocal interpretation. As a Doctor of musical arts and science, it is my humble opinion that Dimash is a gift long-awaited and in need by the world. Aware or not, Dimash is far more than an entertainer, he is a healer for those in desperate need of reconnection. Perfect resonance, perfect balance in an unbalanced world.
Amen to that. Feel the same. I visited Kazahstan this summer because of him. Our local guide told me (their agency also works for him), that there, where he comes from, is a lot of "saint people" (whatever this means - he has a healing impact on me with his voice tone and colour).

This song originally comes from a Rock Opera of the 1970's out of Quebec called Starmania. Generally considered one of the most difficult songs to sing in French. Of course, Dimash makes it a bit more difficult because he always ups the ante when he sings anything, and makes it more emotional, beautiful and difficult.

He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him, you realize your so wrong. He said in an interview he trains every day at least 3 hours and he swims under water very often to increase his lung capacity. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. Hello, Nick, I'm the hated person here; I disregard every one who reacts to Dimash for the sake of reacting, having no knowledge in anything, and we have plenty of those. "Dears" (you've probably heard already about them; there are millions in Dimash's fan clubs across the planet, in some 120 or so countries) are very generous people, they will give you a like just for showing up, regardless of the stupidity of the comments and lack of knowledge. Their love for Dimash is unconditional. I hope it's less and less of them...I hope. You are so far one of a very few people who really understand this Godsend as a singer, person, son. Spend your time with Dimash, there are dozens of songs on UA-cam, and every song is different and every song will surprise you. Read about him; he's one of the most interesting humans you will ever meet in your life. And doing what you do, applying your knowledge to every Dimash's performance, you'll get thousand (I would even say hundreds of thousands of likes and subscribers) in a very short time. But you need to invest the time of your life doing that. Listening to Dimash will transform you into a different human being, enrich you, make you understand music better, possibly make you understand yourself better. I agree with what you say, but the way its said gives me some "I'm a true fan and everyone else isn't" energy. I fall into that category too sometimes so no fault there. I think this guy truly understands Dimash from every perspective.

Sans audience, with only piano as accompaniment, it is dignified, somber, heartfelt; a restrained tour de force. A stunning work, it's received relatively little attention from reactors. It's hard to know how to put one's feelings into words. I ask you, of all reactors, to try. When younger, Dimash received permission to perform it after satisfying the composer's concerns that such a young singer could do it justice. With a more upbeat tone, these videos can be found online. Originally written as a poem, a father speaks of his gracious, beloved daughter, who is marrying. And that life's unknown future, in which we are all but visitors, may grant her love, which makes life itself worth living.

I find this version more polished and with better pronunciation than during the Chinese Singer program despite that being the launch of Dimash’s popularity (in China and worldwide). There’s another singer out there that as you say sounds like a man singing and goes completely into soprano voice Marcelito Pomoy a Filipino singer They compare Dimash to him but to me there’s no one like Dimash is. A well trained in classical and contemporary pop, rap only in his Kazakh language folk music and even a little R & B mixed in to his musical style’s That’s why his Dears (his fans) love him! Being that I was so impressed with him, both neoclassic pop and his Kazakh songs, I wanted to know more about him, so started listened to his interviews, and finding out so much about him and his family, as well as, Igor Krutoy that he worked with on many of his songs. Thank you for reacting to Dimash. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their origianal, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him, you realize your so wrong.
He said in an interview he trains every day at least 3 hours and he swims under water very often to increase his lung capacity. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. This song and this performance is my absolute favourite🥰. I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so demanding and commanding😱. There he is such a Beast😳! It’s absolutely stunning. Gasping and racing heart and I’m not even talking about him singing. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

I'm the hated person here; I disregard every one who reacts to Dimash for the sake of reacting, having no knowledge in anything, and we have plenty of those. "Dears" (you've probably heard already about them; there are millions in Dimash's fan clubs across the planet, in some 120 or so countries) are very generous people, they will give you a like just for showing up, regardless of the stupidity of the comments and lack of knowledge. Their love for Dimash is unconditional.
I hope it's less and less of them...I hope.
You are so far one of a very few people who really understand this Godsend as a singer, person, son. Spend your time with Dimash, there are dozens of songs on UA-cam, and every song is different and every song will surprise you. Read about him; he's one of the most interesting humans you will ever meet in your life. And doing what you do, applying your knowledge to every Dimash's performance, you'll get thousand (I would even say hundreds of thousands of likes and subscribers) in a very short time. But you need to invest the time of your life doing that. Listening to Dimash will transform you into a different human being, enrich you, make you understand music better, possibly make you understand yourself better.
It's easy to do: it's a crime to listen to anyone else before your hear every song sang by Dimash anyway.

I agree with what you say, but the way its said gives me some "I'm a true fan and everyone else isn't" energy. I fall into that category too sometimes so no fault there. I think this guy truly understands Dimash from every perspective.

Everyone has their favorite performances. One of mine is "Qaragym Ai," sung in memorial to its composer, one of Dimash's professors, who died during the lockdown. Sans audience, with only piano as accompaniment, it is dignified, somber, heartfelt; a restrained tour de force. A stunning work, it's received relatively little attention from reactors. It's hard to know how to put one's feelings into words. I ask you, of all reactors, to try.
When younger, Dimash received permission to perform it after satisfying the composer's concerns that such a young singer could do it justice. With a more upbeat tone, these videos can be found online.
Originally written as a poem, a father speaks of his gracious, beloved daughter, who is marrying. And that life's unknown future, in which we are all but visitors, may grant her love, which makes life itself worth living.

I’m glad you listened to this version of Dimash singing SOS and not the 2017 version. I find this version more polished and with better pronunciation than during the Chinese Singer program despite that being the launch of Dimash’s popularity (in China and worldwide). This was written for Dimash by famous billionaire Russian composer/music mogul, Igor Krutoy (he also wrote Ave Maria for Dimash) he’s accompanying Dimash on piano. New Wave 2021 is the premier performance of this song. It’s incredible!

Such an incredible singer he is. I never get tired listening to Dimash. You are very good at analyzing his vocal techniques. I just discovered him ( thank goodness!) 2 years ago, and now I watch or listened to him everyday. It is also that he is such a special person. Being that I was so impressed with him, both neoclassic pop and his Kazakh songs, I wanted to know more about him, so started listened to his interviews, and finding out so much about him and his family, as well as, Igor Krutoy that he worked with on many of his songs.
