Notice the guy in the white shirt that stands at the end of the performance. He is a megastar Russian composer worth billions who came out of retirement to work with Dimash once he heard Dimash sing. Now huge North American megastar composers are meeting with Dimash. The saying “ be so good they can’t ignore you “ certantly applies here. ❤

THE GUY. 6 years ago, two respected European music critics having just finished watching his epic SOS on The Singer sat in total silence. Finally, one looked up and said.. That's the guy.. What guy ? asked his partner. His answer:
The guy, years from now, someone walks into a room and says Hey ! I've just heard the best singer I've ever heard in my life ! and his buddy says.. Dimash best ? And 3 others say no way in hell ! and they all laugh. He's THAT guy. I'll never forget it. Try Dudarez Almaty for a killer performance. You won't regret it and thanks !❤

For those who like information about Dimas' songs:
Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer (to whom Dimash was a fan) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash. Hugs from Brazil!

The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath.
This was also the first time Igor Krutoy heard Dimash (at the end you see him in the white shirt giving a standing ovation) and what started their relationship.

Very shortly after I stumbled upon Dimash I found you reacting/analyzing to Dimash SOS. This happened very shortly after I lost my husband to cancer. You, and others, played a part in getting my through those first months, filling the living room with voices. In the process of listening to you I learned more than I ever expected to know about the human voice and you have indeed added value to my experience. I would like to recommend two Dimash songs - The Story of One Sky and El Amor En Ti. The former is a long , complex video but the live version of the music from his Almaty Stranger concert on his channel may be easier to analyze since the video is of a very heavy subject. El Amor En Ti is simply a blockbuster, gorgeous to listen to and experience. I would love it if you would cover these quite different Dimash offerings. Thanks, Peter!

    • @emilatik8581
      @emilatik8581 Рік тому +1

@@esanchez1305 Yeah he's sounds very good as a cliché-like 80's iconic singer to be and with a better pitch. He aren't better than Dimash with its comes to pure vocal techniques/musical techniques, from soprano,tenoralto/contraito,high-pitch notes/whistles (what's best known to do;in tremendous scales/levels,like the super rare note of D8) to baritone, cracks, low-pitch/hissing singing(super low ones, almost banking on the gate of hell), rifts, runs(super enduring ones, like if he's got a human trunk..),throat singing,etc.etc....With then they might be equally as instrumentally talented or that Tommy is only slightly ahead with his electric guitar, only(as far I have seen him playing various instruments)...
So,again, to finish it off, Dimash is for sure a VOCAL beast/god and if not THE best in that regard(only)regardless one being a amateur, semi-professional, professional or top professional vocal singer,BUT he aren't everyone's sound of voice or preferred pitch and that's where UA-cam- or social media super singers/semi-professional super singers, like Angelina Jordan, Diana Adunikova and Gabriel Henrique(etc.) is much more preferred amongst many .There's a difference here.Good that have been settled down,I suppose... 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂😅🙃✌👌💎🌈

Dimash's deep and gentle voice... I melt away. What a wonderful song, wonderfully sung by Dimash. Did you hold your breath? 🤣 The final run was 23 seconds with one breath. 👏👏👏
Dimash sings here as a guest on the New Wave 2018 (international competition). Igor Krutoy, the man in the white shirt at the end, a famous Russian composer, music titan and initiator of the New Wave had invited him. Now, both are a "Dreamteam" and work together from time to time. They are friends, have a father-son-relationship.
... and of course Dimash donates the many flowers to hospitals and retirement homes.
The band that Dimash accompanies at this performance called A’Studio, who composed and performed “Sinful Passion” in 1998. The band is also from Kazakhstan (Dimash's homeland) and this Dimash performance has revived the song.
    *Original: A'STUDIO - Грешная страсть - ua-cam.com/video/CN9fHwhna_M/v-deo.html
The glottal - stops is a throat singing technique called "bleating", “goat's trill” or „Trillo caprino/ little goat“ used by the indigenous peoples of the Far East. In Iran called this technique „tahrir“
In 17th-century Italy, 'trillo' referred to the so-called 'Monteverdi trill' or bleat, a tremolo-like repetition of a single pitch. Singing these trills was frowned upon.

Thank you for your reaction! Dimash’s talent is mind blowing 🤯 A'Studio was invited by Igor Krutoy to participate (individual concert) in the 2018 edition of the New Wave festival. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏👏

One thing I find so fascinating is that people with no vocal training or familiarity with the terms can still instinctively feel a rare and extraordinary vocal performance at the inner core, almost as if we as humans were built to resonate with angelic tones. Not a particularly religious person here, but I think there is certainly something that connects all of us so strongly to the beauty of the human voice in its best forms. It is very interesting to hear you break it down and explain the specifics in technical terms that a lay person can follow and understand. Much appreciated!

You may very well have heard that chord progression before..... somewhere. back in the early 80's Julliard completed a study of all known music, and determined that there could be no "new" music because all possible chord progressions had been done, a "chord" being three or more notes. Here, the band "A-Studio" had written the song 20 years previous, but their singer had passed away, so they never performed it, until Dimash.

I am loving seeing more dimash love all over he is the best singer in the world imo..... The way he just released a song entirely in English too!! He can literally hit all notes gracefully. Even the breath notes are entirely intentional, it doesn't mean he can't get to the deep notes. He uses %100 emotion, he's acting with his voice. He's the only artist that I will wait 10 hrs in a chat for a premiere. Lol.

The technique you were having trouble remembering is I believe called "Caprino" - The Fairy Voice Mother - mentioned it in her review of Sinful Passion. Suggestive of the bleating of a goat.
I very much enjoy your detailed analysis. Rest assured, you are hitting the mark as regards your helping those "unwashed" masses of we who don't sing! - to help us greater appreciate the complexities and wonders of what Dimash is doing and which you yourself, I am sure, do as well - though maybe not quite up as high in the sky vocally as does he! Enjoyed it very much Peter.
Keep up the good work - because we inquiring minds - want to know!

Hey there! I don't think you will see this, but to understand the power and raw voice of dimash, he met with Andrea Bocelli. Somone recorded with a phone and he was singing while Bocelli was playing the piano. Dimash has a very powerful voice for sure

I really appreciate your reaction and mostly your analysis. I like to watch reactions to Dimash and how professionals are losing their mind about his ability and performances, yours are more than this. You not only are fun to watch (your reactions) but your insight analysis is so interesting and precious. You are one of the very few to get the little details, point to them and even explain them. This is the most value I see only in your videos.
And beside all this your appreciation of his talent, techniques and performance, it is such a joy to watch and experience.
If you want to watch and react to his highest note he sang live, watch "Unforgettable Day" at the Gakku festival. It was frequency measured and it is a unbelievable freaking D8!
Most reactions needed to blur or partly cover up his video, e.g. with some text, for not getting blocked the reaction video.
