Great job, it's so nice to see someone so passionate about working on Italia's finest cars.
Glad you enjoyed it!
BRAVO!!..I love the passion you put in repairing Italian cars.ive been doing it for more than 40 years!love the coupe and I'm planning to buy one.
Lookin good, love the coupe, especially in that blue
I could watch you all day - fantastic work thank you
neil i am going to cry into my supper first i see phil at sas as bought an abarth punto then you put this on the table i need consoling
Great work, it's all in the prep!!
Hey Italia autos great videos. I really love your "Buyers guide" on cars. You really helped me u8nderstand what to look for before buying. It would be grat if you would do a same "Buyers guide on alfa engines". Common issiues in TS or JTS, JTDm and other. I know you somewhat did them while reviewing cars but a separate series would be awesome.
Happy New Year
Just a question, why are you not cleaning the car upfront, before starting all this work? I mean, it makes work easier and is avoiding something will be overseen. However, it makes a lot of fun to see this great work. 👍
Este taller es el paraiso de los aficionados a los coches Italianos. Llleno de Fiat y Alfa Romeo.
Lovely stuff....keep up the good work. Totally non Italian but I'm starting work on an MG TF today. Softly softly approach....im putting new badges on it to start with!!
Really like these cars and enjoy ever minute watching the repairs .
. Keep up the good work .
Glad you like them!
Fantastic job here with all the prep. Really enjoy these videos. Looking forward to the finished product 😁👍
Thanks 👍
The b-pillar covers are easy to remove aswell, a few nuts
Damn, tuned in too early for this... must put the glasses on!
Looking good
Love the video as usual and especially the car! And, get that muzack to F**k lol!
Picked a nice and annoying one for this video lol
brrr looks chilly ? i wish we got these in australia
Super chilly this last few weeks
Gawd that music was doing my head in. It was like some rubbish 80's video game music. Great other than that.
I noticed the lock near the boot is open. Without the protector slab (is the correct word?) a lot of dirt gets in. I found the spring in the lock to be broken and replaced it with a spring from a scrapped fiat brava.
Really appreciated & enjoyed this episode of you resurrecting this car! You should be Very proud of yourself. Definitely A lot of hard work but Great job Neil. It gives me the inspiration and hope towards finishing my own 1995 16vt this year, any chance of you covering the odd 7 pin flasher relay set up? I’ve a weird fault on mine of no osf indicator on the wing or bumper? Have you ever encountered this? Kind regards
Cheers thanks for watching
@@ItaliaAutos I look forward to every episode! I’m slowly getting through all the jobs that you make look so easy. It’s been very helpful as a reference point as there’s so little information out there regarding repairs to these cars. My car is off the rd from around 2003 and is in very similar condition to this one. But worth saving in my opinion. Keep up the good work and thanks again for the help on this car + before with my 1999 Alfa gtv ts!
Hello. I have a problem with the cigarette lighter socket. My fuse is blown, I replaced it and the socket still does not work. what could be the reason. it's about a nest in a tunnel. Alfa Romeo 159
😁
put a heater in your shop,it works super!
I just work harder lol
It is quite normal for the driver side to rust first why I don’t know
Usually the passenger side rusts first, because it goes near the edge of the road where all the sand, salt and dirt is packed.
Nice work! How much do you charge for a resprsy like that?
Depends on what level you want doing but this is £3000
Rub it down, baby! It's a great colour, isn't it? By the way: Is there a common name for the sort of kit that is used to (re)attach those badges? Maybe a recomended brand?
Gorilla glue- that’s what held the black plastic with green strip on the doors of my sud sprint green cloverleaf.
@@staxalot8587 Thanks! It's not actually made out of Gorilla's, innit? That would not be a sustainable policy! :-)
Hi Neil - can you remember where you got thoss rear subframe bushes from? I bought some on ebay that were meant for a Fiat Multipla, as I read that the Fiat Coupéhas the same rear subframe, however unfortunately they were too small. Thanks in advance.
Fiat siena ones are the ones you need
Sorry no it was fiat multipla
@@ItaliaAutos Thanks for the reply Neil. Those are the ones that I bought, I took them to the garage today but they fit in a bit too easily - I was told that they were too small as they measured 78mm wide and I was told that they should be roughly 80mm. Frustrating as I can't find any anywhere - I previously provided a set of polyurethane ones but these were too big even with a press. Nevermind :/ great videos Neil, keep it up!!
@@teammellifootballvideos6470 took me 3 attempts to find the rear ones and multipla where correct.
Hi Guys.....
What is the hose called that goes onto the air filter silencer ????
The one that meets up with the air intake hose ????
Alfa 156 jtd....
Cheers...
Best if you go onto an Alfa forum on the Facebook groups with your question.
Sorry but I'm one of the few who doesn't use Facebook. I can find almost every other hose name just the one I need... ???
I know Neil doesn't usually answer but I thought someone who watches his vids may know ????
Go to Fiat Coupe Club UK and search there
Thanks for your suggestions. Finally found out what it was called , and apparently there a rare S rocking horse plop......
Air intake elbow / pipe ....
Easy when you know aye....
I've enjoyed working on my own 156. Not a mechanic , just learn from vids like Neil's and other. Very helpful.
Been a while since you have worked on the Punto GT?
it has.
I’ve had so many of these cars, my least favourite were the two Sprint blue ones. I HATE this colour.
We are the opposite then. Had 4 20V Turbo's - best 2 were in Sprint Blue.
@@arcaudios2176 strange isn’t it? My black LE and a ink black plus were the best. I also had a Scott’s green 5 speed which I bought from the original owner, a professor from Imperial lol, which was nice with black leather.
@@rezaq1 Had the Scotts Green in a 16V 5 Speed. Great looking Car. Ended by a drunk driver hitting me head on while I was sitting at lights.
Nexen tyres on the front ?
All being changed before it goes back to customer
Title sounds ominous.....
Lets hope she doesnt need a new brake master cylinder as they are like rocking horse doo.
Mate throw a bucket of water over it first lol .
na i like it dirty lol
Lovely Jubbly video, cars are great, but your shop could do with a tidy up, must be hard when working alone. When things get back to normal maybe an apprentice to pass on your knowledge.
A tidy shop is a Quiet shop! thanks for watching .
This reminds me way too much about top gear
