works great. i love that it has stainless steal pot inside ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg and not the one with coating. we used to have a coated pot before, and the coating slowly peels, and i am sure went into the food that we cooked. Absolutely love stainless steel, and will not use a coated product again. This pot has many settings and many buttons, and i need to sit down with a manual to figure out which setting to use. I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.

I love this method!! The only thing I changed was to cook it on LOW PRESSURE instead of HIGH. This way the oats are still whole instead of pulverized. I double the recipe then portion into bowls with lids for quick heat ups! Love her Real Food recipes🙂 Thank you kindly

I love this method! It gives the oatmeal some “meat” to the texture instead of being mushy.
To make it a high-protein cereal, I substitute 1/2 the water with 1/2 of a protein shake plus a scoop of protein collagen. It’s so filling and tasty.
    Thanks for sharing!

Good stuff. I’ve made many things in my IP including cheesecake which is a breeze. My wife also made Tres Leches which came out perfect. I’m going to try the single serve first to see how it goes.

Great tutorial! But I do recommend using more water so that you won’t get the burn notice.

When using the pip method in an 8qt IP with a second 3qt inner pot on a divet, what is the max amount that can be made while adhering to the "don't exceed half the IP"?
3 qt or 1.5 qt or something else?

Pot in pot method cooked oatmeal to perfect consistency! I’ve found that 2 cups of water that’s usually recommended leaves oatmeal too mushy for me.

I followed the first method to the letter, and my porridge burned badly. 😐
I can't reduce the cooking time, as it was already zero minutes.
    Any thoughts?

I think you need a little more water. Also you can try after 10 minutes natural release take the inner pot out and let it rest on the counter top for a few minutes before scooping it out.

Hello! I wonder if you used water AND a little milk as she suggested. I had a burn notice when I used the recommended water to milk ratio. Once I tried it with just a tad less milk No more burn notice. I just add a splash of milk to my servings bowl along with my favorite add ins! Hope that helps.

Me: Follows directions from beginning adjusting to a single serving and starts pot.
Her: if you are cooking for a single serving don’t use this method
    Me: okay perfect
Edit: I let it sit and pressurize for 7 min after and it turned out perfect and not burned ☺️

1.5 water to 1 oats was too sticky ‘for me’. Will try 2 : 1 next time. First time I heard about setting the timer to 0:00

Useless! I followed the 1:1.5 ratio and had less than half of the liquid as milk. My porridge burnt like satan before it came to pressure.

Pot in pot method is pefectly safe even gas pressure cookers, probably not the first method though with the risk of the starchy foam clogging the steam vents.
