Congrats on getting creator on the rise, that’s awesome!!!
Thanks!! It was for one day and it translated to basically zero views - but it was a nice attaboy
Great video Mark. I've been using the leeming lut on my zve10 and the results are fantastic. I've followed your settings videos and exposed my not so beautiful mug to 85 on zebras. Thanks for the amazing tips again. Keep well and congrats on the creator on the rise title.
thanks!! The LeemingLUT makes all our mugs less offensive to the eyes
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis 🤣
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis haha 😂
Happy 100th video !!!! Not sure if you have realised that achievement!
Great content as always
Thanks!! I did forget. 👍👍😂
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis have an apple juice on me 😂

I rarely subscribe to people but your channel is just too good! 🙂
Thanks!!
Thanks, bruh! I learned a lut! And congrats on that recognition, amigo! Treat yourself to a Tim Hortons for sure!
🤣☕️
Nicely done mate and congrats on the creator award
Thanks!! Its not helping the channel - but it’s a nice pat on the back 🤣🤣
Looks fantastic as usual! One of these days I'll start getting some hilarious videos up online :P
ya man!! 👍
I will try it. Thx ☺️
Not sure how in the world I arrived at your video- maybe something about my new a7IV? Anyhoo... a happy accident and I am in awe of your vivid presentation about a LUT. "Vivid" being the key word here so maybe I better re-watch and see how I might use this, being a beginner with the a7IV, videography, and Davinci Resolve. So beginner raised to the 3rd power, if you will. Thank you for raising me to the 4th power of beginner now with LUTs. And congrats on your rise to creator on the rise. Enjoyed and learned from this video, thanks, see you again.
The leeminglut helps us all look like pros 🤣🤣
Thanks Mark that's very helpful. Id heard everyone going on about the Phantom Lut but didn't go really no why it be was such a big deal.
👍
I will make a video on the phantom lut. It’s really for people who want things to look like an Arri cinema camera. Which is great for a lot of productions - but not as great for UA-cam probably. I guess we’ll find out!!
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis I have both. Love the Phantom Out look - it requires minimal tweaking which is good for Color-blind noobs like me.
@@User_not_found_403 yes, I like that you can seemingly expose however you want too. It’ll be a fun comparison
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis cool - looking forward to I! It'll be nice to get an opinion from someone not color blind.lol
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Hey did you ever make a video on the Phantom Lut? If so, could you send me the link?
My old steam-powered Sony's don't have picture profiles -- but will try a LeemingLut if I upgrade any time soon. I like the idea of making it color accurate before you start tweeking the settings. Good show ... please don't get too technical. Undone does that -- Cheers.
I could get too technical if I tried 🤣🤣
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Best news all day!
Haha. I like to watch your video…informative and funny 😂
I appreciate that 👍👍
Nice
I love Leeming LUTs. You forgot to mention to properly white balance, which is a critical factor for your colors to look right.
true true. but hopefully people will be reading the pdf so they learn how to apply the LUT properly (including white balancing 😀)
Congratulations on blowing up…Canadian style! 🇨🇦 I would love to see a comparison of the Leeming and Phantom luts. I imagine the Neutral Phantom would be the closest thing to a corrective lut, but what do I know? I’m from South Carolina. In Canada that’s like being from Saskatoon or something, whatever that is.
definitely will do the phantom LUT comparison. At least you’re the Saskatoon on the States. I mean, you could be the Moose Jaw.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Ha! Moose Jaw. Funny names are funny 😄
@@kevinkrause5798 🤣🤣
Love the channel! I have a new Sony a7IV. I noticed on some other Sony models such as the ZV-E1,FX30,a6700 you can transfer the LUT onto the SD card (Private, Sony,Pro,Lut) file path and then import it into the camera within settings via Color/Tone and then Manage User LUTS. I'm not seeing this for the a7IV can you confirm?
This is a new Sony feature and unfortunately is not available in the A7IV
Thanks :) do you use C1 or C2 Zebra setting? (Lower limit = C2 or Standard range +5 = C1) thanks!
I usually use the lower limit.
What about flexible iso or cine ei by using Leeming Lut?

You are a creator on the rise in Turkey too :))
Gonna be huge in Turkey 🤣🤣
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis hell yeah! :)))
Leeming LUTs are great. On the rise? More like, Creator Has Risen.
they changed everything for me
You are hillarious. I bet you could do stand up
ha. good call. it was my job for the last 20 years. But I’m old now so standup is taking a backseat to UA-cam!!
dude Thank you! I'm slowly getting it. so if I'm filming people, crank my zebras to 85 then when i see zebras back them off and I'm exposed? A walk through screen capture of you setting zebras would be amazing!
That’s it - set zebras to 85. You don’t even have to back them off fully. When you start to see them on faces - leave it there. Apply LeemingLUT HLG3 and you’re done
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis and this for s-log 3 too?
@@timboh8776 for slog3 it’s 75 for zebras on faces. The LUT has changed over the years, but in its current state it is 75 for zebras in slog3 for skin tones
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisisonly for in camera zebras, right? To my knowledge, on atomos ninjas it’s 85 on zebras. Could be wrong though as the manual only says 85 for slog3 and doesn’t mention skin tones
85 wow, I do 56 with Phantom Luts with same settings ;)
I JUST for the Phantom LUTS - gonna do a vid on it 😀
🐕 Raggy Raaaaggy!!!!
🤣

How bad standard profile loos that you need to use lut in Sony a7iv? I understand if you do landscape, beautiful scenery, but in studio where you can control the lights, why would you use lut? Is the standard profile that unpleasant?
It’s not so much about using LUTS, but rather taking advantage of log footage and 10-bit. you get billions of colours and much more detail and skin can come out much nicer and more “filmic”. Standard profiles in cameras don’t look great under artificial lights in my opinion. Skin tones have a lot of different textures and colors that get lost and the standard profiles tend to be high in contrast. everything looks much more like a video camcorder. In the natural sunshine, things look a lot better in standard than in the studio. But even in 8-bit cameras like the zv-e10, you can get much better studio colors using HLG3 and conversion luts
What gel adapter did you use on the godox light in the back?
I actually just stuck a magnetic Aputure mic in there - if you look closely - you will see it’s not plugged in 😀
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Ayyyy. Nice trick!
I bought the Leeming lut after watching this (since You are my fav camera guy on YT & love all your tutorial/review videos) but for some reason I'm not getting the desired results... I'm getting much better results with Sony s own free LUT.. in spite of exposing the footage to +2 it still appears very dark as if there's a foggy layer coving the entire screen.. not sure if I'm following the instructions correctly... ( I think I am though...)
recheck everything and use the zebras for exposure. 85 on the skin or 95 in the highlights on slog3
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis rechecked everything.. it’s still the same… although I’m getting amazing results with sonys free LUT using the same settings… lovely colours as desired.. but with the leeming lut there’s a black haze all over 😒
Leeming LUT VS Phantom LUT?
Do you still recommend hlg 3 for the zve 10?
absolutely - on an 8-bit camera - that’s the way to go. in fact, I used HLG3 on the zv-e10 in this video
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thanks, your channel is very helpful. Now if the zve 10 was just in stock somewhere...
@@GuhyasamajaCenter yes - hopefully the chip shortage will be fixed soon
Can you add a style lut on top of this?
absolutely- in fact - he provides a bunch for free along with the corrective LUT
If I have 2 A7IV’s. Will I need to buy two LUTS? Or can share it to the other one?
No - once you download the LUT you can use it on any footage anytime.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis awesome. Thank you. Does it work for A7RV?
Now I only need a sony camera to use the LeemingLUT.
he actually has them for most camera brands 😀
To NO NAME commenter - I am not censoring your message - UA-cam won't post it and I have no idea what you said. I got an email message alerting me to a message that you said you didn't expect your helpful comment to be censored. I don't know what you said or why it's not posted but if you put a link in there - UA-cam won't post it. Try writing again without links - otherwise I don't know the problem. I don't censor comments.
Oh well, I guess YT wanna sell LUTs then! 😅 Basically I wrote that LUTs are obsolete if you use Davinci with it's color management features.
@@noname-cj6jp I’m glad that’s cleared up!! DaVinci has great tools for sure, but I find the LeemingLUTs easier to use because I can expose to the right with certainly whereas exposing to the right and then converting with DaVinci color management, I’m guessing around a little - plus they work across final cut, premiere and DaVinci. But for sure, you do not need them - especially in you’re a Resolve user. I just enjoy the one click fix.
hahaha you are actually look like the guy from scoobidooo :)
got a haircut because of it 🤣
15 people +1 and I am not in Canada
Sweet sweet ad revenue… o yeah 😂
🤣
Not related to the video by the zv-e10 turned up today. Buzzing my nips off.
Awesome 👍👍
I do not know why, but all SLog3 footage from your and other UA-camrs, including Jerold Undone, looks flat face. The face is not natural after color grading. I prefer the look of HLG3.
There’s always personal preference - and with slog3 you can grade it as much as you like. Probably myself and Gerald and others like that look that you think is flat while you prefer something with more contrast. I use HLG3 with 8-bit cameras because slog needs 10-bit usually. But most of the difference you are seeing is personal colour grading preference. A good colourist will be able to make slog3 and HLG3 match well (I am probably not one of those guys 🤣)
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Actually I am wrong now, since I got A7IV and use properly SLog3 on 10bit files. I am getting much better results grading it to HDR footage and it looks fantastic.
