This model is tougher than hell is hot. Having a 460 with a stick is cool.
I bought a rolled-over truck just like this one and swapped the motor, trans, and axles into my old 95 Bronco woods truck. It was truly badass. I sold it when I got my Samurai, but in all honesty I should've just kept the Bronco. All kinds of torque, it had ZERO problem turning 37s with 4.10s, up/through anything. It was cooler, went almost anywhere the Sammie will, and I'm sure would've lasted longer.

460s do not get enough love and man this was refreshing to see. This kid had some great engine mods I had never seen before. Smart kid.
460 was a good engine, glad you make it your truck you seem to really like it. An old guy like me wouldn't do the christmas wrapping but you would laugh at me having a cassette player for my old john cougar tapes. Have fun, don't beat it and stay safe.

I drive a Camry but I have nothing but good to say about this truck. This being a 90's truck with 150,000 miles on it is good for another 100,000 miles on it for daily driving atleast. Its got a huge 460 in it that don't strain and paired up with a manual transmission that won't burn out because of how much power it has. Not that much electronics in it too that won't break. Manual locking hubs which means it's not struggling to figure out which wheel to split the torque to because you have 100 percent torque to each wheel when you lock them. Has mileage? Who cares today when gas is so cheap. Trucks made after the year 2,000 - after they get 100,000 miles on it, retire it for farm use or trade.

I for one like the truck and don't mind the stickers on the window, tailgate or dash. You do you. The wheel offsets are ok but otherwise a very cool truck. Nice work and it sounds great.
Let the guy enjoy the truck., all these negative comments, you may not agree with what he did to the truck but he made it his own. Let people do what they want without the negativity.

Thing was such a beast of a truck. I've been looking around at 90's F250/350's for a work truck and seeing a one with a 460 brought back memories.
Bought my first Ford truck last year. Was a 94 with a 460 & only 90k miles on it. All I can say is that thing is impressive off the line. Mine is in such great condition that I'm going to get it painted & keep it as an asset.
Yeah, they have gained value since they were released. Especially if you have a crew cab, manual, and 460.

Still have my 94 F250. I didn't get it painted, but still considering it. Currently have 98,000 miles in it.
@@UnblockedOne2 Nice. I've been looking around for a 96 crew cab long bed with the 460 and manual. No luck finding any under 40k. A few here and there but they don't have everything I want. For now I'm sticking with my 66 Galaxie 500.
For the love of God get rid of the brodozer wheels the hot air intake and the Hideous sticker on the back

I am not a fan of stickers either. This is diffidently not a ricer vehicle and even if we disagree with what people put on their vehicles, it is their vehicle and its theirs to do whatever they want to it. I've seen crazier ****.

Those woven vinyl seats were actually pretty nice. My parents had an 85 Ranger that had similar woven vinyl seats. They weren’t too hot in the summer, not bad in the winter. The woven vinyl was as special order in some trim classes. Looks good to me.
Well, that WAS a nice truck. I just cannot get into the bearing killer wheel offset or the copious amounts of stickers. Enjoy.
It's a 1 ton axle truck, with a Dana 60 front the wheels won't hurt the wheel bearings

I had a 94 F250 with 460 and hauled RVs to Dealers for a living I put 814,000mi on engine before she got a rod knock and I had her rebuilt man. Nice truck I just hated the fuel mileage.

That truck is great. Makes me want to show love to my 92. The "sorry bout it" sticker reminds me of the old EMPI modified vw drag bugs back when. Very cool.
Great to see younger generation into the hobby have fun with it man . You have personalized it to your liking showing your creativity might not be everyone's tea. But hey we don't go to car show to see boring examples its different and cool .have fun

I have an 89 F350 cclb 460 5 speed, I love it. I installed the Holley Terminator X EFI instead of doing a carb or mass air swap, I also installed a better cam that Cam Research ground for me and It woke the truck way up. Really in stock form the EFI 460s are gutless gas hogs, now mine has no issues towing my gooseneck trailer and gets 13.6 mpg unloaded (so far but I cant keep my foot out of it) and feels like a big block should. Personally I like modernizing old trucks while making them look factory stock.
Would love to talk to you about what all you did. I purchased a 92 f350 with the 460 and would love to hear some more on what I can do for improvement. I've got an automatic. I know your comment is a year old, but hopefully you can give me pointers

Those 460 big block engines were good solid strong V8 engines a very torquey engine for being a naturally aspirated engine and not the most powerful from factory but trust me once they get up and going and get to speed especially with a manual transmission they can seriously move

My 94 must be loaded Interior wise it's got electric mirrors windows locks, even the lumbar thing in the seats..only option I'm missing is 4x4 and an auto trans..I really lucked out on the milage bought it with 109k on her

Nice old Ford, vent the hood and it will cool off alot and run a bit better. I used RunCool hood louvers to cool my 6.0l powerstroke.

Hey Kyle, that’s a cool truck. Never mind the haters in the comments talking about ricer mods, apparently they do not know what a maf conversion is and what it does. I have a 97 F350 with the 460 and I am looking to do a maf conversion on mine. My question is how did you do yours? Did you go eec-v obd2 with a 96-97 cali emissions wiring harness and ecu? Or did you stay eec-iv obd1 using ecu and wiring from a 94-95 5.0 maf ecu and overlay harness? If you did use the 5.0 ecu, what did you use to tune it? Binary editor? Thanks for your time and any help you may offer.

I own one of these trucks and 14,000lbs sounds about right, my 460 will hold 60 up hill fully loaded with a c6 and I'm sure the manual would do much better.

Wow you mean to tell me that a 7.3 turbo diesel that makes more horsepower and torque and a new 6.7 L Powerstroke with a 10-speed will out pull an old gas 460 that made like 225 horsepower. Damm how shocking.

I agree i wish he would have explained it more. My 460 runs mass air sefi but i have a lot into it. The fact that he said "bank firing" instead of "batch firing" says he doesn't know how it works. Young pup who remembers a lot of numbers he read. "It has 400 torque".

I have one of the older ford vcm controls for the fuel systems on these engines. I thought about copying a few pages from the ford fuel injection manual with the vcm literature and emailing them to him.

You know on the one hand I think the stickers on the back are tasteless but on the other hand I'm glad the stuff I used to do to cars when I was his age was from the days before digital cameras and social media or you'd be able to see the kind of aftermarket wheels and rear window stickers I used to think made a shitbox hatchback look cool.

No I thought the same thing but they was testing the decimals if you look close you can see the kid in the truck starting it cuz that caught me off guard at first too LOL can't put a remote start in a manual transmission trust me I looked into it my pickup truck is a manual

All's that air filter is just gonna suck lots of hot air underneath that hood need to make a air box because it's most likely losing power because of that set up and should ditch those street tires.

First .. nice truck... Not a fan of "mall princess" rims and tires but the OBS trucks look good in almost everything.
Second.. I got to admit this kid do a Great job on takes, shoots , music and presentation... For some one who doesn't do this for a living this was good , really good . This kid is proud of this truck.
Aaand.. I think TFL is aiming for a more "young" fan base... And we'll this is the type of truck young guys are attracted too , not my style... Not my taste... But.. Steve is out of TFL ... There's a new kid too ... So I imagine things are changing for good.

This vintage of Ford trucks is now called OBS, which stands for old body style. They're getting more popular by the day, especially the 7,3 powerstroke. 460's are gas hogs. How much fuel savings did the mods five you?
I didn't go with mass air on mine, I went with Holley terminator X MPFI and so far (only been a few days since I got it going) my truck is 36% more efficient compared to stock. The mass air should be around the same. So far I get about 13.6 avg but I also installed a better cam and headers/exhaust so I haven't driven it without going WOT every couple mins plus the Holley is still tuning its self.
Regear the axles and you will see an even bigger pulling power from that gas engine
Nice truck. Take good care of it and never let go of it or some day you will look back with regrets. I have to look back at my 66 Plymouth Satellite, 69 Mustang and even my 84 K5 Blazer I no longer have. All collector's items now.
Here I thought they came with a 351w. If anyone knows where I can find one of these so I can do a swap on my bronco!

You could go as low as a 302 in those trucks I believe, the 300 was available too but that motor could pull a house down

Dude get at me! This is older but I drove a 94 f250 2x4xl new off the lot when I was 16....my uncle bought it and I romped that 5 speed manual every chance I got. Fast forward 10 years and she went from red/white to the ugliest green you ever saw in your life when I bought it for a work rig. 400k when I sold her. Now in 2022 I'm surfing FB like a douche lurking around.....ha. Then she was there on FB market place ......94 f250 xlt 4x4 red and white 5 speed manual....I'm a hunter that's been breaking my back crashing in my suv with my setter. So as I read on she had a 96 slide in Phoenix pop up with her (sunlight then). She had a little rust but new 33's and she wasn't slumped in the rear one bit.....? 9k.... I called the fella and when I pulled in she was it. I was 3rd in line but he really wanted to sell together as a package and the first two fellas only wanted the truck. I pulled in with 9 bands just in case. In case power everything, not a tear anywhere in the split bench. Popped the hood and I'm not a car guy and a horrible mechanic. I'm car guy enough to see elldlebroch heads, full K&N intake, magflo under piped into the last foot of stock exhaust. New everything sitting on 126k og miles. I won't get into the camper but it's pristine and upgraded. I fired her up and she sounded like a rumbling jet..... he told me to take her out and I obliged and handed him 5 racks and said I'll be back in 15min. I put her in second and eased away and when I hit the highway I thumped it and she lit up and twerked.....heaven..... I stayed on it and when I hit 3rd I punched her and she wanted to do a backflip. Instead I uturned and was back in 10 with the other 4k. Then he unloaded 4 gnarly tire chains, new oil filters, belts, even new wing nuts for the battery connectors.... I've only had her a month and one trip out hunting. She needs to be on a race track. Idk what all I even have honesty? I've owned a CTS V that was WAY above my skill set and this truck would eat its ass..... I don't know what else I need to do she has a pozzi rear and lockers on the front. I did lock her in and dropped the clutch and all 4 tires were spinning and she swayed back and forth and threw me back. I smiled and then thought about the 10 bucks in gas I just spent so I did it again. I had a 20 in my pocket..... she's not pretty like yours on the out or inside but she goes and she's stuck with me..... I have thought about some body work?

Love the 460 but interior and exterior aren’t my style I’d also carb swap mine if I had one
I've never actually understood the reason behind going from fuel injection to carbed. Is there an easy explanation or does it just make it simpler to work on?
@@Ramon.Santiago carbed motors make power easier than fuel injection. Talk to anyone that builds motors for drag racing you won't find many fans efi.
