Maybe since sombra hack will completely render doom useless
But doom burns through his ability’s so fast it’s basically impossible to hack interrupted unless Sombra herself initiated the fight, plus, if Doom is hacked during the fight it doesn’t have much value seen as Doom has probably used 2/3 of his ability’s and the last one (usually slam)doesn’t have much use unless there’s some range between you.

Heres something I have found when I started on overwatch I mained tracer I literally one tricked tracer my tracking was really good but I wasnt good enough to carry games at all no matter how much I tryed to improve i couldnt climb with her. So it's like she wasnt a natural pick for the type of gamer I am.
I played alot of other shooters like battlefield and I was always good with snipers good at hitting long range targets. So widowmaker perfect for me to improve on but I also like stratagy games and games that make you think to out fox the opent so sombra is a perfect fit for the type of player I am and to be honest I get so much more success on sombra and widowmaker than I have ever with tracer.
I do still play tracer but I dont compete with her same with genji I enjoy them but they not where my strengths are as a player
When I got overwatch like 2 years ago I literally just went straight to genii now I’m great at him 😂
Genji was also the first hero that I stated playing a lot. But then I tried different ones and liked them more

@lxteraltrashh 7 hours in overwatch honestly isn't much, so don't worry if you're not as good as the genji players. You need to dedicate a lot of time into a hero to get good with them
What I took from this: Don’t try and learn every mechanic at once take it one step at a time.

Haven't played in a while. Can heroes be "out of rotation"?
Personally, since the beginning of my career in overwatch I was playing most of the heroes, I like to play all the heroes and I played it well. For me that helps you adapt to any situation. It would be very difficult for me to have to choose two or three heroes of the 20 that I like to play and in the roles I started the game playing only healer later was dps because I had got bored of healer, then I went back to healer and now I am playing a lot of tank especially reinhardt, but I still have a lot of skill with the other heroes so I play almost all the heroes.
I can understand where you're coming from. Playing a lot of heroes at once is doable given that you understand their positioning & mechanics, plus it's fun. Some people do tend to get bored of playing only 1 or 2 heroes. However, while you play everything well, you may not be excellent at a particular hero; a skill very important in higher ranks where you should focus on playing your hero very well, rather than simply swapping to another character you're only OK or good at to try to win that specific game, only. But hey, if that's how you have climbed high, more power to you.

Hog as flank is underrated. I play hog more as fat dps than tank and it works like a charm
I think I’m ok with my 50 hours on widow, 30 hours on hanzo and 20 hours on genji
I mean widow and hanzo have slightly similarities
And genji and hanzo have slight similarities so it can make sense
Even if overall they are different
But you could use that for 80 hrs on one character 🤷♂️

So, i already im top500 playing scrims and picked all my mains, but i still here cause damn, GameLeap videos are so chill to watch.

What if I can't choose a main
As soon as I start to main any hero, a few days or weeks I getting bored of him
I tried every hero in OW, Paladins and TF2... and still no results
What should I do?

I mained tracer, then genji, then tracer, then reaper, then DVA, then reaper, then Hanzo, Roadhog, then Hanzo, you get the idea

Hi! Great video, as usual :) My main is Pharah. She's great, but sometimes i switch to Mei or Reaper (have'nt grinded any of them alot) if our frontline is falling apart. What hero would be the best one to complement Pharah? My other main is D.va btw :)

Thanks for the video Mills, hearing someone talk about mains really helped me realize I need to pick my own. Can you recommend a character that plays similar to Genji? I want to get better at DPS and I want to be practising skills that will help my Genji game even if I'm not playing him.
SummerFrey - you want to choose another flanker probably. With genii I would probably choose tracer.
@@JP-gb7gl Thanks I susoected that tracer would be the closest but I was hoping for someone else because I find blinking very disorienting.
SummerFrey - it doesn’t have to be tracer that’s just the closest to genji any flanker should play similar to genji
Personally I find wrecking ball to be a good in every comp, playable at all levels, does take some skill and time but easy to adjust too, gets good damage, and has a impactive ult if used correctly so overall a good ops.
Hey Coach, you mention focusing on heroes with similar mechanics. Is there a guide or chart somewhere that lays these out? I’m looking specific to Support, but general will do.

Wait I watch a bit further so I’m gonna try and play soldier a bit more to do how I go . I’m gonna master tracer . Then soldier. Then a tank most likely diva and hog. And then mercy and ana thank you you really helped me out

I started overwatch around a mo th ago and one thing i learned that its really nice to learn a character from eatch role
Well...that’s probably because they are 3 heroes that require 0 mechanical skills to play...they work at low ranks.
Zarya is the only one that is played at higher ranks
Would Ana and Baptiste be a good combo to main? The immortality field and grenade both heal in a specific area and their ults boost damage, is my thinking. If not, what would be a better combo with Ana?
Edit: I also do really well with Ashe. While Ashe isn't a support, I feel her being a sniper that can just scope in like Ana can means they pair up well. Ana lacks mobility, which is covered by the other two. Baptiste can't work well on range, which is also covered by the other two. Ashe can't heal and has less survivability because of that, but that also covers the issue.
i have always been a genji main but i really like the play style of echo, they are similar enough for me though i can play them booth

tbh i just like to play junkrat behind a shield blowing up other shields, when i did that i mainly just try to get some backline picks by shooting over the tanks
Is having 4 mains expectable? I have one for each role and an extra for damage because it’s so big. They are d,va echo hanzo and lucio.
I personally do Reaper/Bastion for DPS. 70% bastion / 54% reaper

What about supports? Let's say I'm a main support, who love to play zenyatta, but finds always flankers like (room, tracer, sombra) what other hero should I play to counter this flanker and at the same time don't lose practice because I'm playing a totally different hero?
I main Pharah mostly and I play hanzo if Pharah is straight up not working and sometimes I play genji for some rush or dive comps

So what I'm getting at is you should usually focus on playing one or two characters to get really good at them.
And a way to find a hero you like to play is to play mystery heroes a lot.
Fuck mystery heroes I only ever get dva the only tank I am shit with
2 characters that are very different such as genii and widow, kenzo nervous laughs in corner.
I hate when we need a hitscan but I don’t want to play Widow because I’m not confident with her in comp games.

On my main account I flexed always and never got out of plat on my smurf I got into low masters just playing 2 heroes. It’s true if you play more than like 4 or 5 heroes it’s so hard to climb

So what if I go genji reaper junkrat junkrat kit is viable when he pushes with his team like genji and reaper is pick oriented like u said similar to genji where if I win or start to lose a 1v1 I dash/wraith from the enemy I wanna learn doomfist to help with my play style as genji because he’s my main but I’m not afraid to switch to reaper or junkrat if the tanks are being too aggressive

Both are solid picks unless you're playing a dive comp. Picking up D'Va, Winston, or Hammond for dive comps would be good though.

Yes. This is the hitscan pool. Sombra has utility, Tracer has pressure on support, and Soldier has shieldbreak.

well, some people can one trick a hero and have over 500 hours on that hero but will not climb then start flexing and instently clim, and then the other way a round. when it comes to climbing its diffrent for everyone, the way to climb alot is to play the game and put in the hours. it takes time to climb

Ashe and Bap are great but when playing Rein you need to know what your team is playing to make that call but if you have friends than you should be set.
