Here’s all the problems with ranked under Diamond 1. Smurfs 2. Matchmaking, i had a Plat game once and a fricken top 500 player ended up on the enemy team. 3. Toxic people 4. Trolls 5. People who end up feeding 90% of the time, and lastly That one lucky McCree who got a 5 man High noon and is now T-Bagging your entire team
It's not really a problem when 100% of players at those ranks experience it. It's simply the reality of low ranks and the only way to get out of it is by improving yourself so you don't have to rely on team 24/7 and win the games you need to win (ranking up only requires +50% wr, which is very doable)
A good thing to remember Try to be aware of when you're off your game. There are games where I notice I'm not playing as well and I feel bad for letting down my teammates. Now remember that the next time you want to rage at your teammates. Everyone has their bad days or games and just try to be understanding.
Peeling is quite simple. Let's say that you are playing dps. You see a Winston diving your mercy or your ana. What you do is just kill Winston. Plain and simple.
At the end of the day, everyone will make mistakes in their gameplay. Sometimes teammates will make an insane amount which will cause you to lose... so there is only so much you can control. Obviously, it's pointless to focus on others or be toxic about it. I'm just saying that you're going to lose a lot of games you could have won. Anyone who wants to rank up in general will have to grind it out. You can't play 10 games a season and expect to go anywhere.
lmao I love how the advice to get out of bronze is "play OW more, have a working computer". as a former trapped bronze player, it takes more than that my guy. I would say much more apt advice is finding a team that works together and playing with them continually to climb. relying on solo or even duo queues can be a recipe for disaster, especially when like a third of bronze/silver players are plat or above on alts
I agree. Some players in Bronze are there because of hardware issues. But many of them have fine hardware but are there because of poor positioning and game-sense. On a fundamental level, they still don't know how team shooters work.
@@DS-ff6ze yep, absolutely. I peaked low diamond so I'm in no way an expert or anything but at least in my case bronze was harder to get out of than silver or gold. it's why the entire concept of the "unranked to GM" series are shaky at best. a GM is never going to place below gold/plat, so they'll still be the best player on their team, but even if they have to "carry" their games, a team of full golds or plats /usually/ at least has decent game sense and understands callouts and is mechanically OK.
Yeah, here i am, a high plat who literally does all of this "Master stuff" like tracking enemy ultimates and making good decisions, but then there is my toxic noob team who doesnt listen and loses to a random high noon because they are screaming at each other soooo loudly that they cant even hear it

Lost 1000 SR went from plat to silver on support. Biggest problem is dps WONT CHANGE characters for the team and lack common knowledge. I played with this one tracer, he didn’t even try to flank or go for the support. He was shooting at the 1600hp shield like that’s doing something...
If you lost 1000sr it's your fault. Not your teammates' because everybody in these ranks has to deal with them. Stay humble, do some vod reviews and try to learn from your mistakes. It seems like in this period you started having a bad habit.
I love the guides, I watch them a ton, but I always feel like they are almost entirely aimed at tank and dps players, because 90% of what he says doesn’t apply well to a lot of healers I play. So it’s really difficult to find guides that also include healers as much as others
Took my 3 seasons to hit top 500 being a flex player, I started playing Overwatch for 7 months, I think the most important tip is really simple: PLAY WHATEVER CHARACTER YOUR COMFORTABLE + I don't care if your character is soldier, if you can win duels and make it work trough the team needs then you will eventually be climbing more then you loose
I’ve been playing Overwatch a little more lately and I’m finding a lot of success playing hitscan dps because I’m tired of relying of other people on dps I used to be a flex support but I wasn’t finding success as support in the past few seasons and I decided to change roles and I guess I needed a break from Overwatch and I was playing Apex Legends just to maintain my aim
Sounds great keep it up i found taking a break for a month doing productive activities at the time then helped me immensely improve as i needed a mental restart cuz ow can become overwhelming occasionally. Practice makes perfect take into consideration all the tips in this video and you will for sure soar the ranks n reach the pinnacle one day .
In my case, I just clear my mind and try to make as many game changing plays as possible (as support). Even just good positioning could carry your team. I learned a lot and climbed thanks to watching ml7s vids ( mainly his unranked to gm educational vid ) He is absolutely the best teacher for support out there
Been doing the same, playing a lot of Apex more than Overwatch the past month or three lately and I came back to OW recently. I feel like Apex really helped me improve in a lot of things I lacked in before in this game and it makes me think a lot more critically during fights, and spending a lot of time with projectile shots really improves hitscan gameplay. I think that shows. Before OW I was kind of worn and irritated. Now the game feels 10x easier and I feel lot more relaxed, even feeling a lot more optimistic and taking a few mistakes lightly during games, it kinda made it fun again too not gonna lie!
Clearly not. It depends of your level of gameplay and personal preferences (and also a lot of other factors like the size and texture of your mouse pad, your mouse etc.) but all heroes have a reasonable "medium sens" that is optimal for this specific hero. This is why pros that are playing the same roles often have a similar sens*DPI (eg: most hitscan pros have a sens around 4200 edpi).
Another tip: Don't be the guy who flames. Keep your derogatory statements to yourself. Telling someone they fucked something up only makes them play worse.
Easier said than done. the toughest thing I find is climbing out of bronze because there's always a leaver on my team and a Smurf doomfist on the enemy team farming me in the back. What about being stuck in quick play because the only two times I’ve tried to play comp I get shit on for ‘how bad I am’ and ‘WHERE ARE THE HEALS’. I swear a ton of people in bronze are so much more unforgiving and brutal :c It’s so discouraging so I just stay in quick play lmao
thats relatable. once, i played a comp game on support (bronze and i was playing moira QUITE WELL ACTUALLY), and two of my teammates told me that i was dogshit and to kill myself. reported them of course, but its hard to get back into comp when that happens every second game.
Well that depends a lot of the character you're using and your skill, but you need to play comp to get better at it, while more comp you play more you will get better heals, etc. Sometimes a player is toxic but you just have to ignore him or maybe say "Hey maybe i'm not healing that person that much" because sometimes the supports stick with an orisa or something. I passed through people call "Trash healers" to sometimes they say (when we win) "god healers", and sometimes people are toxic and wholesome at the same time, i got a toxic team and at the end they were like "THE ONLY ONE DOING SOMETHING WAS OUR MERCY" and it's like Awww thanks but at the same time it's so toxic....
FastM maybe they were busy being dove by a genji or a tracer and couldn’t heal their team? Or in your case, there’s a very good chance their team fed or did not understand how to use cover and not take damage
You don’t have to play one type of role till much higher than silver Like silver is where you decide which players you are gonna play like for instance if you are gonna only play on tank and one healer and stuff like that
Trainer JB Don't know about derankers and trolls. But for smurfs I reccomend waiting until you get to the middle of the season or close to the end of the season if all you care about is comp coins because that’s when there will be less smurfs in your games since they tend to just destroy placement games at the beginning of the season.
"To get out of bronze you just need at least 60 fps" me who plays on a laptop and has 30 fps *Welp there goes my rank* ( The thing is I was gold in my first comp season on support and silver on dps and tank, now I am bronze on support and dps and silver on tank:'))
As someone who played on a laptop, I was also hardstuck bronze. I play on console more and I'm in gold, but when I give my bronze teammates advice, they don't listen lol
Alright so for my support players. I want to help you guys out so here we go For gold/ silver I personally got out doing more damage as zen and Ana going for Antis and just trying to poke as zen. Even though you’re support you’re also a damage dealer so try to heal as much as you can but sneak in damage. For plat try playing more as a team or find one person let’s say to nano. It might be genji or rein or monkey or whoever it may be it will probably be an impactful player. Just look to synergies more with your team. Like before look to poke and sneak in damage. Now diamond is hard because everyone is competent. So as a support focus on your positioning as you will get punish more but not too much. So try not being overly agro as it will cost you team fights. Also if you know someone is popping off and just killing everything look to support that player and make their life easier. So for diamond mainly positioning and looking to help someone or people engage in a fight. ( like Ana nades or lucio speed boost or coalescence, etc) And now I’m stuck masters lmao ( also for any of those levels a few things, look to better position yourself so that you can play safely but also be with your team, communicating is a big one even if you’re the only one just try to. Also if you’re not having fun leave the game for a few weeks or even months and come back when you feel as if it’s fun again. Lastly don’t make overwatch your life. If you have school do school and if you work do your work stuff.)
Sorry also if you know your aim isn’t that good don’t worry and try focusing more and mechanics and your positioning. And for people that need help understanding what those terms are, mechanics are your wall riding ability for example. Your reloading cancelation or your shoot/heal with bap. Just simple things. Positioning is thrown around a lot I personally feel as if it’s where you play and how you position yourself for a fight. If youre Ana and are playing waayyyyyyhhyy back and not even close to your team ur basically useless. You want to be around your team but usually where you can see your team but the enemy can’t see you. Somewhere you won’t die but you still have the ability to be with your team.(your aim will come eventually don’t worry, but if you want to play trainers go ahead but usually practice your aim In that specific area maybe your lacking.)
I am in gold and I've been trying to get out for quite some time I've been struggling with problems that you see in Masters and diamond and it makes me want to cry
Yesterday I queued in low diamond and dropped to high plat. I played bap and had like 11k heals per 10. My friend was sigma and he always had the golds dps should have had. Some games are just unlucky man. Lol.
I think that you need to play a lot to rank up, and just play 2 to 3 heroes. There are a lot of players in the rank above you that are worse than you, but you just don't realize it. A friend of mine did a road to GM, and he said that plat was way better than low diamond. If you are playing console, the ranks from plat to gm are random, most players in masters are as good as people in plat. I am a GM at pc and console, but console was just way harder for me to rank up. I think overwatch needs a hard mmr reset for all ranks. Especially on console. Liston to iddqd and everythink makes sense.
My own experience in ranking up is don't duo on your first comp because I did that with a friend every time and always got in bronze. I stopped this season and I've got gold, plat, and diamond once.
That's just toxic as hell. Heal them anyway. People are going to play the way they wanna play. You being a douche and not healing them isn't going to help and you throw the game for the others on your team that wanna win.

I played on a old laptop for a year on OW, I was high silver with 9fps average. I then got a new computer that runs the game at 60fps, I'm now diamant.
Haven’t played in two years and did my placements yesterday, didn’t lose a single game, but still got low silver placement because of the rank system 😑
I feel like I am struggling to get out of bronze because nobody is in chat.. One person will make a bad play and then the entire team follows and ends up with horrid positioning and we all die.
I used to be a hitscan dps main, so heroes like Soldier, Tracer and McCree but then I started to play Zarya and I really liked her. Should I main Zarya and like two dps or should I become an off tank player?
I love competitive play but toxic people and uncooperative team mates kill it for me, i was playing mercy and team saw me in danger didnt help, and had one genji spawn kill me every time and say sit down on chat how is this fun, when i asked for team help they say dont go to spawn like wtf
I still don't think that it's wrong that I expect gold players to know and act on all of this already. 1 best tip regardless of rank... keep your cool... and 'very little mistakes' are a good thing, you mean 'very few mistakes'... finish school kids.... 'fewer' for numbers of things, 'less' for 1 piece of mass or volume.
I can't play as much as i would like because my internet is crappy and sometimes its good and sometimes its unplayable. I can't even get different internet because there are so many areas you only have one choice in provider
I had the same issue, then I started using my phone's mobile connection via USB. My ping dropped from 110-260 to 70-95. A 2hr session uses less than 250mb of internet
I play on console at a plat/diamond level. I tried out pc overwatch and rarely got more than 12 FPS but I still wasn’t in bronze. So anyone that thinks their pc is holding you back. It will but it won’t hold you in bronze
I play at a mid to high plat lvl but i know and use the tips that a masters player should use. Gotta love throwers, incompetent healers, and tanks. (I play all roles equally)

Ur not meant to just heal as a support
PLZ can you make that setting breakdown video, that would be very helpful :)
“Peel for your supports”
These are overwatch players we’re talking about and I’m telling you now they’re not gonna listen to you on that one
Not that they wouldn't listen or wouldn't do it. They're just busy respawning because said supports missed every shot to heal their teammates.
FastM you sound like one of those people that’s always assumes it’s the supports fault
FastM maybe they were busy being dove by a genji or a tracer and couldn’t heal their team? Or in your case, there’s a very good chance their team fed or did not understand how to use cover and not take damage
You understand that it is also the supports job to position correctly and know how to position depending on what both teams are running.
It’s mainly Your job as a support to keep yourself alive
That tip videos are very helpful! Thanks💕
I just hit masters as a solo queue support mercy main ❤️
You don’t have to play one type of role till much higher than silver
Like silver is where you decide which players you are gonna play like for instance if you are gonna only play on tank and one healer and stuff like that
Any tips on how to avoid derankers, trolls, and smurfs? Because that's all I seem to run into.
Trainer JB Don't know about derankers and trolls. But for smurfs I reccomend waiting until you get to the middle of the season or close to the end of the season if all you care about is comp coins because that’s when there will be less smurfs in your games since they tend to just destroy placement games at the beginning of the season.
4:55 yo i made it lol, i dont know how you got that clip but that's sick lol
"To get out of bronze you just need at least 60 fps" me who plays on a laptop and has 30 fps
*Welp there goes my rank*
( The thing is I was gold in my first comp season on support and silver on dps and tank, now I am bronze on support and dps and silver on tank:'))
Yeah hardware can really make a difference. I easily climbed into masters with more FPS
As someone who played on a laptop, I was also hardstuck bronze. I play on console more and I'm in gold, but when I give my bronze teammates advice, they don't listen lol
Yes! Please a settings guide :D
Need to grind out my hammer swings on rein defo the hardest machanic in the game
Dude where did u get that genji skin from in the thumbnail 🥵
Chrome fiber. It’s only 250 points and it’s non event. Get it
Great vids as always mate , keep it up 👍🏻. kindly make support main vid.
Alright so for my support players. I want to help you guys out so here we go
For gold/ silver I personally got out doing more damage as zen and Ana going for Antis and just trying to poke as zen.
( like Ana nades or lucio speed boost or coalescence, etc)
And now I’m stuck masters lmao
( also for any of those levels a few things, look to better position yourself so that you can play safely but also be with your team, communicating is a big one even if you’re the only one just try to.
Can you PLEASE make a settings video. I honestly dont know what settings are the best.
Can we get more variety of females in the thumbnail, I personally prefer the darker skin ones like pharah tbh

gameleap: "get a computer that does not freeze every two second"
me: guess ill freeze XD
Bronze tip : turn on your screen and turn up the volume
Mei rn ima keep this dude in bronze
Yesterday I queued in low diamond and dropped to high plat. I played bap and had like 11k heals per 10. My friend was sigma and he always had the golds dps should have had. Some games are just unlucky man. Lol.
He was a smurf tho too.
He's going crazy with these thumbnails
in master you should remember if they use their ults.
my teammates tracking ults in silver
Can we get a one target for every hero vid? (Target as in the gold tip)
After looking at that thumbnail I wanna go play that Ashe asap 😍
Are there any other tips to get out of bronzes besides get your settings right, have good hardware, play the game a lot, and learn the game?
git gud
Hey thx for ur videos they helped me so much
Ty very much
“No feeding” frogged sweating
Once again chill with the thumbnails
Yes do a settings vid!!
I play on switch... is that good??
Usually when I play competitive the people that ask me for heals are like miles away from me or they don't do their job so I refuse to heal them
That's just toxic as hell. Heal them anyway. People are going to play the way they wanna play. You being a douche and not healing them isn't going to help and you throw the game for the others on your team that wanna win.

What if you’re a plat support and can’t do anything to get out of plat because nobody’s protecting you??? :’(
I love your vids I hope you get 100k subs
I played on a old laptop for a year on OW, I was high silver with 9fps average.
I then got a new computer that runs the game at 60fps, I'm now diamant.
overwatch looks so cool I've been waiting 2 years but i still havent got the game im broke xd
Haven’t played in two years and did my placements yesterday, didn’t lose a single game, but still got low silver placement because of the rank system 😑
What was your rank before?
Can you link the wallpaper on the thumbnail. Asking for a friend
Great Video btw ;D
I feel like I am struggling to get out of bronze because nobody is in chat.. One person will make a bad play and then the entire team follows and ends up with horrid positioning and we all die.
Yeah cause your bronze. What you expect.
when you’re a gold player that would probably be in at least plat and it’s just because your teammates always suck
Everyone under gm is trash
@@lauritsjacobsen8345 not true
I want to know if we can sign out of gameleap anytime, plz can you answer this question because I really need to know
I used to be a hitscan dps main, so heroes like Soldier, Tracer and McCree but then I started to play Zarya and I really liked her. Should I main Zarya and like two dps or should I become an off tank player?
Make "One Tip for Each Rank" that are role-specific, please
Staggering is the biggest problem in low ranks but now double shield has been meta for so long that bronze is starting to do it.
I'm on plat, but by watching these videos I'm steadily climbing to diamond, and I hope I can get master by the end of the season.
7:36 amazing aim
Surely bronze
I love competitive play but toxic people and uncooperative team mates kill it for me, i was playing mercy and team saw me in danger didnt help, and had one genji spawn kill me every time and say sit down on chat how is this fun, when i asked for team help they say dont go to spawn like wtf
Me and my friends have been stuck in gold for a while, and we do all those tips, it's just insane 🤯
So, I’m a support main, do I just protect and peel and dps myself then?
Are sombra, genji and pharah close enough
The problem is that I'm great at videogames but bad at working with teammates.
I have climbed from silver gold plat and now yesterday i reached my goal diamond
How long should it take for me to climb each rank?
I got 4 good matches in comp and for the last one i did bad so they placed me in silver I should at least be on gold
Please make a settings video!!!
last season i dropped from 2.9k to 2.4k
but i am following your tips to get out of diamond already
Notification gang
please do a good settings vid
I spend the most of my time playing dps (mostly genji) but I am higher ranked in tank and support which is kinda annoying
You should do the settings breakdown
I'm T500 but I'm still unsure on what hero I shoud pick for what map ^^
