I do hope this video is useful for those out there planning on tuning their car. Equally, I hope you can appreciate my honesty! Please let me know what you want next..shall I do a running costs now that I'm stage 3?!
Couple of things I forgot: Catch Can - I paid £400 for it. R600 Intake - £530. I didn't include the exhaust, as this particular one isn't needed, but you can probably pick up an exhaust (non-res) or even straight pipe from anywhere between £200-2000. I think honestly, parts & services, expect anything from £10,500-£13,500. But, it's not always worth it IMO. I bought my parts from a few places. Remember, these prices will not be the same for you, as I bought some parts last year, which was in the last financial year, and some were on sale etc. Use this as a guideline only! The different maps and power outputs are in the video, but if you miss it, it's MAP 1: 1.6BAR (480BHP) MAP 2: 1.95-2.1BAR (500-520BHP) MAP 3: 2.1-2.15 BAR (540BHP - 99+Octane). Torque figures pending!

Great question, and sorry for not covering this. 540BHP is made on 99RON (pump fuel) + Octane Booster, which I can imagine is around 102RON. 675NM of torque.

Ah, so am I! You don't anymore, I heard. How annoying for me, ha. I think they all can do it without removing your ECU now. My car is mapped by CM Tuning, and it's an MRC file, but Ecotune are great in the MQB scene.

Wouldn’t it have been cheaper / better to have bought an RS3 with the Daza engine. 500+Bhp easily from bolt on mods and 600+ with an upgraded turbo plus the all the 5 pot goodness that just can’t be beaten.
Common thought, question. My take is this, I beat stage 2 RS3s all day. If I bought an RS3 8V FL, it would have cost me around £40kish. I've spent around 40k all together. So, if it was an RS3, and taking that Stage 3, it would have cost me a further £15k. So, it's much more expensive, to me anyway. The only thing that attracts me wrt to RS3 is, as you say, the sound. Everything, I much prefer my S3, genuinely.
Does not agree, a rs3 stage 1 puts out 540 on e85 so I don’t think’younre ahead (100-200 in 6.8s ) … so à good stage 2 rs3 will eat you all day
More over torque on only stage 1 rs3 is 700nm… so more torque than yours …but anyway very good results 👍
An rs3 like this on non prep surface is in the 10 1/4 mile on first attempt and eats a stage 1 m4 just to let you know

Did you get the ttv4 turbo new when you got it or second hand? And how much did you pay for it 👀
I think it's mentioned in the video, as I went through all the costs. I can't recall the exact amount, but it was brand new.

Awesome video !!! My question is are you concerned of blowing your engine , with that turbo on high boost especially without Meth , gotta be on the limits was you not adviced to install meth kit even as a cooling solution ?? Also was there any thought of upgrading the mpi to 980cc injectors. Lastly did you not list the different map bhp and torque etc as be useful to know how far you’ve pushed it because torque kills the engines. Also don’t forget exhaust system most people will have to buy them and you left out cost of the intake system r600 and oil catch cab system
Firstly, thanks! Great questions and points there. I'll start by saying, look, anything can happen, and I say that with particular reference to even if you forge the engine, things can still go *BOOM*. From my knowledge, this kind of power is safe on these engines, and is well tested. I think anything above 600, and approaching 600 can increase the probability of things going wrong. I trust my tuner, and what he has advised. However, I am thinking of meth for cooling before RW 2024. Injectors, not considered, maybe in the future. Maybe even a updated clutch pack too. I don't know the torque tbh, but I will ask that question. I knew I'd forget a couple of things, and I did add them in the description box (I'll pin them instead). I did add in text for the difference maps (in BAR) and what power they make. But, again, I'll pin it all as a comment.

Im interested in the torque for the car (lbs feet).
Im currently running a highly modified (all round). Power is Rtec 380hp/430lbs on a TTS. Had the engine forged last year by Rtec but can’t seem to get my car in anywhere to complete the build…
Ps a friend had a S3 2014 running 480hp - MRC map - on stock block and it didn’t last long 😅
Thanks. It's running around 675nm of torque. That's a shame..I'm not sure who really deals with forged engines. I know a company called Badger Developments, I think. Try them? Yeah, I've heard both good and bad stories across the board. Sadly, it's just what it is.

Im on the AKS waiting list so will wait Im in no rush. I have some tyres to scrub off as well as I want new lighter wheels (currently heavy for show 20” ). AKS for parts and fitting and Rtec for mapping eventually. If I can still be asked lol.

@TheCinderellaman10 Mine is currently on coilovers. Prior, I ran racing line springs, which were 20-25mm dropped. I have a video on it. Have a look.
