That petrified wood fireplace is so interesting and unique. I love it. Love the bar too. That outside area off the bathroom was probably a sun deck. So much potential for this home but I do feel they should have preserved the original mid century style from the 60s and 70s.

He looked at me, and in a nasty tone said " What do you want?"😮 I replied, " Certainly not to shake hands with an arrogant bastard", and walked away. I had heard he was a jackass, and that night in the airport proved it!

Every time they showed a picture that said, "Back in the day" it looked so much more stylish than the empty cold looking remodel. The kitchen and dining room had a lot more classy, stylish appearance before the remodel than after. They should have kept the house looking as close to original as possible with all the different colors and everything. It was way more stylish and classier looking in the old photos. That is the reason for keeping those old celebrity homes around isn't it? The interiors of celebrity homes should be kept as close to original condition as possible.
This guy's got zero imagination. He was at a loss to say the area off of the bathroom was simply a private patio. He couldn't even imagine any seating out there. What a snob. To him, everything was weird. Just stop apologizing for an old home you can't stand, ya jerk.

I grew up in Vegas and back in the day, we’d see Jerry driving his rolls down the freeway and we’d wave from the school bus. He wasn’t that nice in person… as a young adult, I’d see him and he would scowl at people, yell at them and just be rude. But it was still very kool to see him along with the many others in Vegas in the 70/80s..
Several years ago I was picking up a prescription in a grocery store in San Diego. I was not feeling well and was in line. This man came up and got in front of me and interrupted the pharmacist talking to me. He then looked at me and apologized. He was trying to get my attention and at that time I didn’t care who he was. I purchased a few things from the store and got in line to pay for it and he was in front of me still trying to get my attention. After paying for my items it finally dawned on me it was Jerry Lewis.
Well Martian and Jerry did make up, after 20 years later, due to Frank getting back together. So I heard he visited Jerry there at his house. I use to work in Vegas doing the shows, in the 70's and 80's. Sammy Davis jr went there all the time, with Frank too after the shows. Jerry was not part of the rat pack, but they came to his house!
By all accounts the rat pack did not hang out in that house. Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis weren’t speaking at that time in the 1960’s and they had very little interaction until 1976 when Sinatra did that reunion on the MDA Telethon. Sinatra and Sammy Davis, Jr. really didn’t hang out with Jerry Lewis and I doubt they both went to that house when Sinatra had giant suites at the hotels he was performing in. That house has had several changes over the years, but I will admit it has some unique history to it.
I will put the red carpet back in. I would never change anything, if I bought it back in 2021 . He died in 2017 at his home and was 91. He was living there until his death. I think the family sold it in 2018. Also SanDee Pitnick was his wife too and died in 2017, she lived there too with him.
I love the old photos of how it was when Jerry had it, but it would look way better less cluttered, but that was kind of the style back then. The new look is too sterile, but I'm sure whoever buys it can warm it up with cozy furniture, textures, and homey decor. On the bathroom patio, I would definitely add lots of pots of trees, plants, and vines. A fountain and some outdoor lighting, maybe a Jacuzzi, would really be wonderful!! Too much concrete makes it look like a hospital! Thank you for sharing this treasure, even though Jerry Lewis was a terrible person. He was talented, and the house is awesome! It's actually historical, in my opinion.
A lot of the “weird” stuff was my favorite parts! I really liked the old Jerry Lewis till I found out he was not very nice. Still a fan of the Rat Pack though! This house has history.
@@debbylou5729 Like the piece said The Rat Pack in Vegas was a big deal. everything famous history was about Jerry with the Rat Pack. The new tiles and faucets were nice but common. Your milage may vary.
I love the touch of new modern put into the old 60's type house. It respects the golden days and yet brings us up to date! Loved this video, thank you!
Over years, I learned that Mr. Lewis did not treat other people with respect. In short, it was reported he was nasty, arrogant and a horses' ass. Throughout my life, I learned that the true character of a person can best be found in the manner people treat one another, especially those who lack supposed power, money or influence. As a retired airline captain and VP, I always made a special effort to treat hotel maids, servers, and mechanics with dignity, integrity, appreciation and respect. Like my late grandfather who was a business pioneer in Las Vegas, he used to tell us, Always treat people on the way up with respect, as most likely you will see them again on the way back.
I think the house is neat! I would try to put back some of the things Jerry had done to the home. I'm a huge fan of Jerry's. A very funny man. I always love him and Dean together. Sad when they brought up the team.
The house isn't really "weird", it's just very unique, a residence to a unique personality so it's fitting. I'm obsessed with vintage so I'd actually redo the decor. My theme would actually be pink, ultra-feminine OLD-SCHOOL Hollywood glam.
I used to live by Sigfried and Roy's home off Vegas Dr/ Vegas Valley across from the golf course. I would see Sigfried on my walks most days. I know they sold the property across the alley in 2018 or so. My realtor Jillian Batchelor had that listing.

I like the way it looked before the remodel as far as the real wood cabinets and panels. I didn't catch weather the kitchen and adjacent room was already open concept or not before, but I I like it open. If I could afford to buy this home I would make some changes to the upstairs bathrooms and closets. I would turn one of the rooms into theater room with part of it in honor of Jerry and his movies. I would love to furnish each room according to what I want each room to be. ❤ And yes I can't forget the outside, endless possibilities.
I love the swimming pool. My boyfriend, who was a stone mason, built a swimming pool with a stone slide in North Carolina. I would lie and say that it was influenced by Jerry's pool but the internet wasn't that great back then.
Can actually see this house exactly as it looked in 1958 on a UA-cam channel called “givethechanceakid” …… where Jerry Lewis and his family are interviewed in the home by Ed Morrow.
You just kind of glossed over the chandelier, but $200,000 in 1964 is equivalent to $2,029,290 today. So Jerry spent a chunk of change in the day for that lighting fixture. That's more than the house is now selling for at $1,699,999 as a foreclosure.
This guy is so empty headed that he couldn't give us the current value of the gorgeous fixture. So thanks for that. And to him, everything in this 60s home was weird. His vocab matches his intellect, empty.
I love this house , old houses are built with the best materials, the new houses are built very cheaply, if I could afford it I would keep it the same way Jerry had it. ❤❤❤
If I would ever win the lottery, I would not want to build a new house. I would buy houses like this renovated or I will renovated myself , but keep most of the vintage. They don't make them this sturdy anymore. I love this house, wouldn't change a thing. Oh ok, maybe get rid of some of the mirrors. Thank you for showing it. Love Jerry Lewis.
Awesome Home and Tour. Love the huge amount of Outdoor Space. Put 2 Million in more remodelling and you have a Property for under 5 Million in perfect location 😁
The floorplan doesn't make good sense to me. I do like the little bar area and the property the house sits on. That's about it. I could only imagine a Jerry Lewis fan being interested in owning this home.
The 60's was a different vibe. Remember: you could smoke in Hospitals, Airplanes, Restaurants and the house was indeed part of that time. The price is right for the nostalgic feel with a few minor tweaks for the new owner.
It had flow , but the renovations ruined how fun this house was . Really disappointed they took out some of the really cool features that made it special .
To start off , I imagine that 2nd floor outside area was for sun bathing . Nude or otherwise . Lastly , HTF were those useless mirrors ok'd ?!? And they should have left it ALL original !!!!
The patio off of the master bathroom was a private place to sunbathe without prying telescopes. You need to update your selling skills. This house is a good representation of mid-century modern design. Some of the remodels were poorly done.
It's a unique house, for sure. Not sure what direction I'd take it in. I would probably get Charles Phoenix's advise. He's all about mid century cars and retro homes.
I think this is a complete tear down. Keep the bar and/or other nostalgic items that can be incorporated into the new design and donate/sell the others off. Take the petrified rocks away and get some designed tastefully into the new house and donate the rest to a museum like the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona . It is a shame but I agree with some of the other posters the house looked much nicer in the photographs than the Frankenstein monstrosity it is now.
There is a house in England built about 900 years ago, and you guys this this an 'old home'! This house seems rather cold, more like a public building or lodge. Jerry was world famous so he could have parties to match the house size. Not sure what someone would do with it now. THOUGH, it would make a good Jerry Lewis museum! And I don't think Dean Martin was there much.
Warwick Castle 956 years old. What a beauty that is. This home is nothing, especially with the shiny white and beige nonsense. Just a large home. Blah, a complete nothing.
Overall, I just love this great old home so glad that house has been maintained through the years. crazy about the pool, Upstairs is gorgeous Downstairs fireplace is just odd not a fan at all but would live with it if I had to. Huge house and property price is above my payrate but very nice to see Jerry Lewis was such a great physical comedian grew up watching the wonderful movies he made after his break with Dean Martin. Wonderful tour Thank you house is still amazing.
Classic materials are beautiful and timeless, why do you think they are so expensive, who the hell cares if it was last seen on the cover of a magazine 3 years ago.
It's a shame because every sentence was "eww wood, eww color, eww a hallway", he couldn't just tell the story of Jerry's life in that house. They should have put a different title like: "Realtor tours Jerry Lewis' outdated Las Vegas mansion".
Jerry Lewis is the only celeb you mentioned that I've heard of. That house is kind of a confused hodgepodge with all that different flooring. Like the remodeled parts clash with the original. I'm sure it looked better back in the day. I'd restore as much as possible and add a significant amount of landscaping. The only greenery looked like astroturf. Fix the backyard water feature. Today was Jerry Lewis day on TCMs Summer under the Stars so your video was right on time. Enjoyed it.
Interesting, I liked it all, Jerry was quirky. I mean he had one kind of personality on stage and another one off. So of course his home would be another part of him. The best part of the house for me, was the pool, I'm a pool person. If I had the money I might expand the pool and make it a little bigger. I don't know. But I did like everything that was in the video. Thank you for sharing this video.
I kind of liked this home. I didn’t think there were that many weird things. I bet the medicine cabinet that didn’t open was because of the new tall faucet. And his private bath lounge area was kind of cool, it looked private and would be great for a bit of sun or watching the stars at night. My favorite area was the upstairs bedroom/bath. Way too big for a lot of folks though. Thank you.

No fans anymore.
The 60's was a different vibe. Remember: you could smoke in Hospitals, Airplanes, Restaurants and the house was indeed part of that time. The price is right for the nostalgic feel with a few minor tweaks for the new owner.
The history of the house is terrific. The flow and liveability is horrible. Sorry.
It had flow , but the renovations ruined how fun this house was . Really disappointed they took out some of the really cool features that made it special .
Loved the back then pics .. perspective .. somebody will come in and redo more! Just don’t let some of the old go! Love and light!
The fireplace is so 60’s
To start off , I imagine that 2nd floor outside area was for sun bathing . Nude or otherwise . Lastly , HTF were those useless mirrors ok'd ?!? And they should have left it ALL original !!!!
Personally I like it the way it was
The patio off of the master bathroom was a private place to sunbathe without prying telescopes. You need to update your selling skills. This house is a good representation of mid-century modern design. Some of the remodels were poorly done.
It's a unique house, for sure. Not sure what direction I'd take it in. I would probably get Charles Phoenix's advise. He's all about mid century cars and retro homes.
What a fun walkthrough- loved the "back in the day" pics too.
It looks like an Asian developer Reno the house, the house was nicer before the reno now it looks chep 😢😢😢😢😢
It would look better with the red carpet. A big room like that needs a strong colour on the floor. It looks nice, but not a great location.
The kitchen is "the nice" area of the house? 🤔 Uhh, no. Its the fireside! 🔥 I would rip out the ugly, stark kitchen.
What can we expect from this guy who calls everything weird and doesn't recognize a patio off the bathroom.
Holy cow imagine the cleaning and polishing, you could die in there and not be found for days
You can't expect a 60's house to be modern, I think it's gorgeuos
At least they kept the bar & fireplace
Overall, I just love this great old home so glad that house has been maintained through the years. crazy about the pool, Upstairs is gorgeous Downstairs fireplace is just odd not a fan at all but would live with it if I had to.
Huge house and property price is above my payrate but very nice to see
Jerry Lewis was such a great physical comedian grew up watching the wonderful movies he made after his break with Dean Martin. Wonderful tour Thank you house is still amazing.
Classic materials are beautiful and timeless, why do you think they are so expensive, who the hell cares if it was last seen on the cover of a magazine 3 years ago.
The snobby money hungry realtors care. They want everything sterile white and beige. Makes the rooms look bigger... Jetks.
Enjoyed it.
Vegas is desert. They use a lot of rocks and cacti for landscaping. That grass looked like 1960 astroturf for sure.
The remodeled bathroom sinks ? Why would a contractor do that , blocking medicine cabinet is just stupid , hope he dint get his full bid
4:08 What do you mean?It doesn't look like much?I think it's a very nice bar
The inside reminds me of the Winchester Mystery House. So many different doorways and wallways and rooms.
I lived in one of his houses in Vegas while going to college,,,
Bryan is the best part!😅
I had the opportunity to drive by Mr. Lewis's house one time my aunt pointed out to use.
That bar is fire!
Somethings are better off left alone. It historical landmark now.❤
Interesting, I liked it all, Jerry was quirky.
The Rat Pack version of Graceland😂
I kind of liked this home. I didn’t think there were that many weird things. I bet the medicine cabinet that didn’t open was because of the new tall faucet. And his private bath lounge area was kind of cool, it looked private and would be great for a bit of sun or watching the stars at night. My favorite area was the upstairs bedroom/bath. Way too big for a lot of folks though. Thank you.
I would have liked to have seen the electronic head end for the cable and sound systems...
