I miss Kulick. Dude was an absolute gem in KISS.
he can shred circles around ace
Kulick may be able to shred better, but even when stone drunk and missing notes, Ace had far superior tone to Kulick, Vincent and Thayer - Frehley was the sound of KISS@@tyreekmurillo4524
@@strato0865he said that bruce is better but ACE IS KISS
Ace was the sound of course! Bruce was the revival with his own great style as for Eric. All them part of KISS story.
Paul’s voice is so good here. He really should get more credit as one of the greatest rock singers ever imho.
I had forgotten how good Alive III was. Thanks…
cause its very forgettable?

Gracias por la lista ! 👍👍👍👍
No black diamond , thank god
Animalize tour - Detroit - 1984 is nearly as good. The drummer is much better and we are introduced to Bruce Kulick.
R😊😊
It's strange that during this time everyone longed and hoped for Kiss to reunite with Peter and Ace and bring back the 70s, but when looking back at it all most fans have a special place in their hearts for the Revenge era. To me, this is Kiss at their musical peak. Also great look and attitude. However, I was happy to be able to see them during the reunion years.
Favorite KISS era. Thank you for this video. So good.
The last era Kiss was great! I wished they went back to this after the reunion was over.
100% buddy after the ace and Peter should have gone back to the non make up era.
They were failing during this period, hence the Konvention tour and the reunion later.
Musically….at their very best …absolutely killing it
Best I've ever heard them live. They were a powerful band during this time period! Bruce and Eric are fantastic
I was at this concert, drove 4 hours to see it. Thanks for the memories.
Bruce Kulick is a monster on guitar. One of the reasons I wanted to become a rock guitar players
Wonderful drummer - solid.
Man kiss just got better and better with every album nonstop. Wish they had put more albums on the 90s. Revenge is greaat
This is by far their best non-makeup era and look. The set list is great and the sound is impeccable
I totally agree. And at this point with Eric Singer they have the tempos much less frenetic which makes for a way bigger sound. Seasoned and on top of it. Love it!
Wish they had stayed like this.
Absolutely. Especially Gene. That was a great look for him, & without the 80lb costume, the dude's actually got some pretty cool moves. Eric was definitely at the top of his game. Great show.
Facts!!
Best Kiss concert by far, I was there !!!
when you held up a lighter and not a phone!
Incredibly this was over 30 years ago!
We were all young once, friends
And I consider this their newer music. Time goes by for sure
I have seen these guys 5 times over the years but I must say this might be the best I’ve ever seen them live EPIC show !!!
I was there, it was the Friday after Thanksgiving in 1992. Went two days later and saw them at the Richfield Coliseum. They were awesome shows no doubt. Love the energy and Bruce and this is my favorite line-up.
RIP to the Palace at Auburn Hills, as it was demolished in 2020.
shame these phony degenerate parasites weren't still trapped in the building...oh well...guess no silver lining
This is just about the only point in Kiss history where there were no gimmicks or business ideas involved, they were just straight forward
Business ideas are always involved when it comes to Kiss.
@@sammyk874 well I will admit they were trying to shed their late 80s pop hairband style, and trying to get a tougher image and sound, so yes they were trying to stay legit by following the latest trends, but at least they weren't trying to sell as many goofy products at that point
@sammyk874 that's literally all they are
listen to the Bruce solo. Better than ace.
@@knoxvillehermitfreemoviesm3625 garbage.
Best Kiss concert without makeup.
I met Paul Stanley back at 1988. We were @ China Club, NYC.
Went over to his apartment, 3 blocks away.
Paul made 1 AM breakfast for his wife and I. We hung out and talked. He told me how they planned to do the RÉUNION TOUR. It was all planned out. The Music Industry is big business. Business is Business.
So Paul was planning the reunion since 88?! Tell us more about that wonderful experience
I have been a KISS Fan since I was 8yrs old. Born and raised in Detroit. I have seen them over 300 times. I am at this concert, 3rd row, on Paul Stanley's side of the stage. This is in my opinion the best KISS band and tour!
300 5times? c mon
@@jonthevernomaticverno8389 Yes. I am a professional Guitar Player for over 35yrs. Paul Stanley is my mentor. It's not that hard to believe.
That’s a lot. Either way Paul is one of the greatest frontman in music history.
@@Carlos-xz3vi I have seen them since 1977. Yes he is. Thank you for your reply. Have a great weekend! Keep Rockin ' KISS 👍🤘🎸😎
Respect to you
Got question bout this gr8 show you saw
Whats happenned on this show when Paul Stanley talk about "" asshole out of here "" before heaven on fire ?
Watching you sounds so damn good live. The riff is one of Kiss’ finests.
Same with Parasite. So simple, so heavy, so epic.
i was there! thank you for posting it
Eric Singer was ON FIRE!! Thanks for sharing! My favorite KISS album and tour!
Eric is SOOOO jammin!!!!
Eric is a bada$$ drummer, period.
One of my favorite drummers. It’s a little bit of a shame that he toned it down once he started wearing the cat makeup. The man is a beast.
Yeah! I was a kiss fan from the beginning. I seen them in 1979 and again in 2006. I’m sad to say this was the era that I missed. Going back to review what I missed. Great stuff.
I feel the same way. saw them twice in 1977 at Madison Square Garden, then 79. Didn't see them again until 1996. Saw them at their final show and a few times in between. I just wasn't into them in those years without the makeup. I'm sorry I wasn't after seeing this.
With respect to the original 4 this was in my opinion the best line up in terms of musicianship.
I'm just reading the comments! We all thought they were the greatest band in the world with a never ending flurry of New looks, stage appearance, costumes and kick-ass songs! This Was my highschool album/ tape to live my life by. Love it
Kiss is still very much acceptable at this point..sounds great...😮
Deuce is such a kick ass song!!
I was there and it was awesome
The no gimmick KISS was the best. They actually wrote good songs.
Plus they had BRUCE KULICK.
Wow! I had never seen you men live until last May 29th we all had a blast with Ace Freyley in Jamestown N.Y at the Reg! Celebrated Ace's Birthday!🎼🎸👍♥️✌🎵🎉It was wild and such great energy like you guys ! ❤🎉
Amazing stunning show. The mic setup was a victim of the time. Imagine this now! Each member served.🎉
I was there. Fantastic show! Night after Thanksgiving. SO much fun!!
Thanks for posting this, touring in support of their best non-makeup record, Revenge. Given the low ticket sales of their End of the World Tour, if still wanting to make more money, get Ace and Peter back in fold and tour without makeup. Who cares if they can't play or sing as well as they could in the past, when the original four were together, it was magic
The tightest they ever were as a band. Glorious
Revenge is in my opinion the greatest, most badass record Kiss ever did !
Love Paul's look at the windmill mishap at 27:42 😂
Revenge; fantastic album and tour! \m/ Loved the heaviness of this album/tour. Unholy, such a dark, heavy rocker. \m/
Drums real good.Holyy shit
Fantastic Set List!
Fantastic energetic performance on this Revenge Tour. One of my favorites with or without the makeup. My opinion of course.
I was front row for this tour in Milwaukee Wisconsin. It was my second favorite show of kiss. Nothing tops animalize tour and then in 3rd place was the lick it up tour. And then 4th was the reunion tour
Thanks for the upload. This was awesome!!!!
Wow 🤩 they did “God have rock n roll to you” Live! Impressive
They played it on the Revenge tour. Eric Singer played a harmonica solo instead of a drum solo.
@@jdway3542 That would be because of the drum solo belonging to Eric Carr, which was added as the last track to the Revenge album in honour of him after he had passed away from Cancer.
I have never been a big fan of Eric Singer but I do respect him for what he did for the band. He was a musician who is much better than Peter but he'll never outshine the outstanding solos of Eric Carr. I did think the harmonica bit was hilarious 😅 I was blessed to see this tour after seeing Hot in the Shade both at this arena. The HOT set list was better but Bruce Kulicks playing is a hell of a lot tighter on these songs. He played them much better on Alive 3. The microphone, especially for Gene, sounds really weird and distorted. The Statue of Liberty 🗽 was fierce but the Sphinx was so much damn awesome 👍😎😱. Revenge, with the exception of Unholy to me, was a fantastic way for KISS to start the 90's.
This is when they were still a rock band.
This album should've been mega but grunge and over rated Metallica who I still don't get or listen to was too big back then.
This is peak KISS! Revenge is my favorite period! What a band! Such great show and they play their asses off, incredible! Pure joy! Can't get enough of this! Sex drugs and rock and roll!
Amazing Concert. I Love Without All That Makeup. Paul You Are So Beautiful❤
AND YOU HAVE VERY GREAT MOVES IN DANCING. SO GREAT❤
The palace was such a cool venue, I live 1 exit away from there, it’s now a giant hill since they demolished it a few years ago
Unholy was a great new song on that tour. Has held up nicely for 30 years... one of Gene's best...
Revenge is probably the most underrated KISS album ever.
They should have opened with that. Would have been a perfect opener to tease the audience with the way the song opens.
I agree. It hasn't been performed live since the 2004 tour (their first with Tommy) when it replaced God of Thunder as Gene's blood spitting showcase song just for that one tour.
Gene's & Vinnie's.
Bruce's guitar tone👌👌👌
For whatever reason, this tour was the best live sound they've ever had.
Animalize had rather good sound, which is the only other tour that comes to mind, outside of the mid 90’s reunion sound. I agree though, this sound is top notch.
and why the overdub this
recording 😁👍
The best KISS concerts of the Eric Carr years ALWAYS had raw energy--regardless of the band's look, or of their lead guitarist!
💥 ⚡KISS ⚡ 💥
Good lord they were insanely good here
Saw this tour about a month earlier in Fayetteville nc....trixter and faster pussycat opened...that small arena was the best place to see a show
I love reading the discussion from KISS fans. Even with disagreements everyone respects each other like it’s a brotherhood.
It’s not normally like this. I just delete the bad comments lol
Gosh the crowd.....look at them!!! A reminder of what it was like before the phone zombified everyone......
I stopped going to arena shows after ACDC Black Ice tour. the crowds are pathetic. I only go to club or small theater shows.
Flat out, their best live album.
Helluva rock show. Wish I had been there that night, that was a f'n party.
Paul is so powerfull🎉
That was the second best band, great guitarist!
I have never been a fan of Kiss. They do have some great songs, but I always thought of them has a prime example of rock'n'roll excess and only caring about the bottom line. All that said, I've watched a few videos of their concerts. However one feels about Kiss...they put on a hell of a show.
I don't know about "rock 'n roll excess"...Gene and Paul were pretty clean in comparison to most of the rockstars out there. I mean, they fired their old guitarist and drummer for drug and alcohol abuse and got reliable replacements.
As for only caring about the bottom line? Eh, can't argue with that. Making money is pretty much what Gene's been all about for decades.
They care about what the audience wants, and I pay dearly for it!
@@StacyDeVille Nope, they care about what is profitable. If they really cared about the audience, they would have taken off the makeup and called back Bruce along with Eric once Peter and Ace had left the band in the early 2000s.
But KISS without makeup doesn't sell as much...
@@Megrez-Alberich thats YOUR opinion. I’ve seen them 8 times. Most recently being the Kiss Kruise. They never disappoint me.
@@StacyDeVille _thats YOUR opinion_
Well, yes. In English, the present tense is also used to express feelings and opinions, which are by definition subjective.
_I’ve seen them 8 times_
Good for you!
I personally declined my friends' invitation to go watch them live the last time they played in the area, which was in 2008 if I remember correctly. The reason I didn't want to attend their concert is because I think the band has unfortunately become a sad parody of itself.
Well, my loss I guess?
KISS in their 40s ...fuck yes
This was an interesting period of Kisstory. They knew the era of glam was coming to an end, and they needed a harder, edgier sound and style to survive. It was either that or put the makeup back on. They tried heavier, darker Kiss first.
Wow absolutely great love kiss there so good always have always will be outstanding great
My favorite tour that I saw. Best drums, best drum tempos finally! Couldn't stand the sped up Eric Carr years. Set list crushed.
I know very few of these songs, but this is an excellent concert. All of them are at the top of their game.
Man, what a slamming show! Musically their best line-up, with interchangeability between the Eric's. Have seen then with Tommy Thayer a few years back, solid and admittedly a different type of show, but Bruce Kulick is the best musician the band ever had.
Man this is sooo good!
1 of the best times in kisstorie
hell of a set list
Rock and roll pneumonia !
This is great stuff 🤘
I like the bit when Gene breathe some fire during Firehouse and the other bit when the Statue of Liberty’s face crumbles, revealing a robotic skeleton like the Terminator during War Machine! WOAH!!!!! 🤘🎸
Just fucking pure greatness
I often forget how tight a band they had at certain points
Happy 30th anniversary Alive III!
1993 to 2023
I can see that this is the pre mix and not getting a good cut from here but it just shows you what the tech guys go through show to show
Bruce was an animal. Best era and lineup 👍
Sin duda q gran época.........
i lived pretty close to this venue, but didn't know this concert was happening 😢 I did end up seeing them in Saginaw though 😅
Best lineup could sing and play everything. Need a soundboard of this line up.
Alive III (an official live album) was recorded with this line-up on this show and a couple of others... and it sounds really good.
Check out "Revenge In Dayton" or "Kiss: Alive 3 & 1/2" bootlegs (available here on youtube), they're 1992 and 1995 soundboard bootlegs respectively, and are, imo, the best kiss soundboard boots available of the post makeup years
Dialed right in & spot on.
❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
Almost thought that was Belushi on Bass 🤘😎
The Revenge Era was one of the pinnacles for KISS , next to when Destroyer came out.Sound and attitude was amazing for Revenge.
Paul at his vocal peak
I saw this tour. Good set list, but I missed Black Diamond
Eric Singer.
I was at the one in Indy !!!!!
Not a huge kiss fan but this is great.
The video quality from those days compared to now is unreal. Gives a whole new appreciation for 4K or even 1080p as for Kiss, I really loved the Revenge era.
