The best thing about this interview, aside from it being with my favorite musician ever, is Allison asked questions I had never heard asked before and it only made Paul even more human and amazing to me. I'm not at all impressed by celebrity, but getting to see and hear more of the human side of a man loved by millions around the world is refreshing and, in Paul's case, very inspiring and uplifting. Best interview I've seen of any kind in a very long time.

Oh brother, get some knee pads. Paul Stanley is so great, please. Eric Moore from the Godz was way more cool. Except Paul had Gene Peter and Ace to back him up.
I have only ever seen Paul treat fans with respect, including me. He truly appreciates the love the fans have and the opportunities that fans gave him..He has worked hard & stayed focussed when others fell away. At the end of the day , you want people around that make you happy. Thankyou for this warm hearted, genuine interview. Hes a lovely man. ❤ Allison's personality.
He did not me. Paul brushed me off at a hotel in London back in 2010. I was the only fan at the lobby. I kindly asked for a photo and he walked off me.
What an excellent interview. I met Paul back in 1990 for the Hot In The Shade Tour. I was a flight attendant at the time and had to serve both him and Gene. He was the kindest human being and knowing I was a life long fan. He took out the time to chat with me as well as take a pic and sign an autograph. Great job, this interview brought out the real Paul Stanley I wish that everyone knew.

Kiss were awesome in that period, but a little band out of Liverpool made some noise for about 8 years from 1962-1970. I'd rank the Beatles as the most innovative band ever. They like Kiss have their detractors, but you can't deny their impact.
Allison... WOW! That was beyond awesome. I am 61 and have been following KISS since 1976. I saw them 17 times up to the 2019 show in Philly. I brought my daughter (19 at the time) to that end of the road show. She liked the songs as a kid and finally wanted to see what all the hoopla was about from her dad (me). After years of bragging, we saw the show in Philadelphia. They literally blew up the stage and sounded great. My daughter was speechless on the way home from the show. When I asked her what she thought, the only thing she said was... "I just witnessed a living legend." She was more thrilled than I was. She has been a concert photographer for 7 years, and she still says to this day that seeing KISS was one of, if not the most phenomenal, shows she has ever seen. Her only regret was not being able to photograph that show. It was a much bigger thrill for me. Absolutely great job on this interview. It brought out the best in Paul. I will be following you...Awesome!! All the best.
Great interview,Paul was already a likable person but he really seemed relaxed and was very talkative for an interview even. It was like 2 old friends talking. Keep rockin Paul.

I've been to several concerts over my lifetime, kiss was the very first concert I ever attended in 1977, a 3-hour bus ride from where I lived to Ottawa ontario, and Cheap Trick open for them. And I've got to say that after seeing them, Linda Ronstadt Bon Jovi David Wilcock and many more that the KISS concert was the absolute Pinnacle of music and Stage presence. I don't think they'll ever be another band like them
Hearing about the final concert crushes me because I was going to see it in Ottawa Canada and that show was cancelled, so was the Toronto show :'( I will forever be saddened by that, and super regretful that I didn't go years ago when they had their penultimate tour. Ugh...

It was a Great last tour. Whatever happens with the avatars, I will keep an open mind, and check them out when the time comes. Tha Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the World KISS!!!👍🤘🎸😊 Great interview Allison!😊Like Paul said in the interview, we think alike on alot of things. Case in point when he was talking about how he sounds singing compared to the days of KISS Alive, I have said the same thing he said to other people, if you want to hear him sound that way, listen to the album, not the latest concert. I've been a KISS fan for 25 years now and I never saw a interview lilke this with Paul. Also I had the feeling that Paul is somehow "sad". Idk if this is the right word but I felt something different in his semblance. Love you Paul! Thank you for KISS!
It's now June 2024 and most lifelong KISS fans have made their peace with the sham that was Dec. 2nd, 2023. It's Kisstory now, we are thankful for decades of great concerts, wonderful music and a band that went beyond the realms of everything possible. KISS inspired individuality, creativity and a determination in our young lives to make our own destiny come true. It was a fantastic journey and I still embrace all the records, posters, magazines, t-shirts and seeing those 20 concerts over 50 years. I thank-you Paul Stanley for being a positive influence in my childhood, those great memories will be with me always.
Awesome interview!! Very enlightening and insightful! Paul is such a realist….. rich as hell but, still seems very down to earth! I will say this… I was very surprised that Allison said she didn’t know that Paul was in the broadway play…. Phantom of the Opera!!!
People were really expecting that last show to be special but they did the exact same set as any other show on that tour. No mention of past members, including Ace and Peter. It was a letdown, they could have gone out on a much higher note.
I've been a fan for 45 years, seen 169 shows and watched or read countless interviews with the band and this is one of the best and most revealing Paul interviews I have ever seen. Kudos to you for going beyond the "surface" questions that so many use in similar settings. Well done and thank you.

Loved this interview with Paul Stanley ! I cannot put into words the style & approach to your interviewing style. It is a breath of fresh air.... Thanks for sharing. Liked, subscribed, saved, and shared ! There is no doubt in my mind that you will be very successful for many years to come, due to your talent that is not the average, not the norm, and definitely not run of the mill.................... Great job !!!!
@@stuhnah1 wow. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to be part of the show AND for sharing this most beautiful compliment with me. Thank you Thank you Thank you !
I'm a fan of Kiss always, but I always like hearing what Paul has to say in his interviews like this. The guy could be a great life coach.
I agree 100% So many pearls of wisdom!
Thank you for this... great interview!
Thank you so much!
Ugh...
Great interview! Paul is very inspiring!!! Thank you!
Thank you for being part of the show!
Paul Stanley is pure Rock n Roll !!!
👍🤘
Superb interview. Proud that he mentioned my name during the last KISS show here in my state. Honored. KISS Army Forever.
That is incredible! Thank you so much for being part of the show xoxoxoxo
Bill Starkey. Paul was so emotional, when he was talking about you. A great honour from the heart❤
@@HappyMachorino-bd8no Yes, it was totally unexpected. Considering no one else in "Kisstory" was mentioned, many who had a much greater impact were excluded, I was very proud of that.
@@kissarmy75
What you did with Jay Evans was totally unexpected too.
And it was for the heart ❤️
of so many KISS fans. Even in a small country far away I know your names.
Bill Starkey and Jay Evans in Terre Haute. Great guys.
Thank you.
Allison I agree with another commenter on here. I have seen tons of interviews with Paul and Gene. You did an amazing job. The questions you asked really brought out Paul as a human being , not just a rock star. Allison you ROCK! Great job.
This is the greatest compliment I could receive as I truly set out to celebrate the human behind the artist. Thank you so much for your support and for taking the time to share this with me!
Another Great Interview, Thank You. Gotta Love Paul Stanley!
Thank you! Love Paul!
I found this channel because of my love for kiss! Awesome interview.
I'm so glad you did! Great to meet you, Mr. Greg!
hahahah thats way too funny how he hesitated when asked whats the best thing about Gene. LOL 🤣😂😅
They are just business partners. Since 1970/72. Paul and Gene know they couldn't have made it without each other hence they tolerate each other.
And then, found a way to twirl his answer to still sound like he (Paul) is better than anyone else....
Thank you guys!
Wow Great interview 😊😊I enjoy every minute. Thanks!
I’m so glad! Thank you!
It's nice to see that the greats are still doing great things. In the entertainment industry. KISS is everywhere music, merchandise. I have KISS CDs and comics books and the books are great. I have cash money shirts by KISS. So I been a fan a long time.
Outstanding interview and thank you.
Thank YOU!
I love KISS ! Thanks for the memories!!! Love you guys!!!🤘🎶🎸⚘️
I love Paul Stanley's New York accent and his between song banter will live with KISS fans forever!
"How ya doin' people?"
It was southern baptist in the 80s lol
To me KISS is my Fab Four. The originals that is. They were an unstoppable force in the 70s.
True
I am long time fan of KISS, and I find this interview so inspiring! Tnx
I liked this interview.
Paul shows to us he is an awesome artist and human being.❤🇧🇷
yes he is!
@@AllisonHagendorf I admire him also how he blames all the other band members for their failures and never admits to any wrong doing himself . Paul was always the victim and no one had talent except him and Peter was a bad drummer and never wrote Beth or contributed anything sorry he is a jerk.
Did you listen?
Paul said, there were times when he was too tough to himself and to others. Now, he has time to reflect. And the paintings he made of Ace and Peter are really very beautiful.@@erics9754
Paul and Ace made me want to sing and play guitar. Thanks guys!
I really, really like the friendly tone and atmosphere here. Good questions and Paul's answers are always thoughtful and intelligent. Great job with this interview, thank you!
Thank YOU!
He is such an inspiration and speaks with so such common sense. I love listening to his logic and ideology! 😊
People talk about Lennon and McCartney, but Simmons , Stanley stayed together for over 50 years!!Beetles had what 10 years Kiss lasted over half a century that’s Amazing grit, drive and determination!!
Great Interview
@@rafaelbenavente68 Thank you!!!
Love love love this!! Paul is a legend! And very humble! He has been an inspiration to me ever since I discovered kiss in 1987. Thank you Allison for this! You are an amazing person as well! Loved you on the ppv garden show too!

This man has lived. I will absorb his wisdom 🎉🎉
Right?! I was soaking up every single pearl of wisdom here!

Thanks for a great interview Alison , one that gives us a different perspective and insight into the legendary Paul Stanley! Great piece 🙌

Great interview and love that cab driver story they went after the dream and did it
Thank you so much and I love that story so much!
Think about all the things Paul and Gene has done and how they managed everything, family , dreams, visions, touring. It´s just great. Well.. the list is long. Thank you so much for the inspiration. It´s been huge and still are.

Wow. Thanks. Greetings from the Netherlands. Im a huge fan since i first heared them im 1975. Im 59 years now. I saw them 11 times live. Amsterdam Utrecht Rotterdam Nijmegen enz. Great interview. I also enjoyed the ppv show of the last concert. Greetings from a place called Drachten. ..and i wanted the best and i got it.
This makes me so happy! Wonderful to meet you!
Forget to say..the outfit is amazing.
Thank you for doing this interview Mr. Paul Stanley, and thank you Allison for putting it together. I have been a KISS fan since their beginning. I have seen them 362 times over the last 48 yrs for me. Paul Stanley is my mentor, I have met all of the members, except Mark St. John unfortunately, several times over the years. It was a Great last tour. Whatever happens with the avatars, I will keep an open mind, and check them out when the time comes. I know Paul will not read this comment, but he is KISS, and without him they probably would not have made it to 50 yrs. They did make it though. I could go on and on, but I won't.
How wonderful to meet such a mega-fan!!!! Thank you for taking the time to share this wonderful insight with me - I truly appreciate it!
@@AllisonHagendorf Thank you very much Allison, for the kind words. You also asked who you should interview. Me. Lol 👍🤘🎸😊💓. I am a professional guitar player for 39 yrs.
Thanks for your wonderful book
This is a brilliant video, what a great guy Paul Stanley is. I love Kiss, have done since I was 12 (so for 42 years!!). I was very privileged to meet Paul and the guys briefly at a meet-and-greet in Birmingham, UK in 2019 and it was one of my best moments in my lifelong love of rock and metal.
Thank you for being part of the show!
Hi again Allison. I watched your newest episode. Thank you for interviewing Paul Stanley. He'll always be a LEGEND with KISS. He multitask many things that makes him Amazing (like being on Broadway, do anything Artsy & being a great Dad to his children, and so much more). Good Questions you gave out! And I enjoyed your new episode with Thumbs Up 👍
P.S. Yay Laughs from you again, Allison! xD 👏

I've been a KISS fan for 25 years now and I never saw a interview lilke this with Paul.
Also I had the feeling that Paul is somehow "sad". Idk if this is the right word but I felt something different in his semblance.

You got it.
Amen! It was depressing to watch.
I was sad that Eric Carr wasn't given a moment. That was inexcusable, really.

It was certainly lackluster; no deep cuts, same flying routine. Boring AF.

I've been a fan for 45 years, seen 169 shows and watched or read countless interviews with the band and this is one of the best and most revealing Paul interviews I have ever seen. Kudos to you for going beyond the "surface" questions that so many use in similar settings. Well done and thank you.
I have been to 39 kiss shows and I got to tell you you got me beaten by a hell of a lot more!!😅
God bless you fellow rocker! Jesus saves sinners! God bless all the ratt n rollers!
We (most of us) know that Paul is a smart, eloquent and warm person, but you've still gotta ask the pertinent questions to someone who's done a million interviews in their professional life. This was great! 🤘
Great interview with Paul

Good interview. A lot of the stories I’ve heard before, but appreciated learning a few new Tidbits - such as his hesitancy to pick up & play the guitar again, for example.
