If it's a fix or not doesn't matter, it's about getting there. Sure, a fix is a plus but that's about it. Not sure if some of those "resistors" are actually inductors? I think I've seen things similar to that that are in fact inductors. Might be investigate-able. Nice attempt anyway! :)
Thanks mate 🙌 I'm pretty sure it's a software issue I've looked over everything. I think the preview owner tried to soft mod it and bricked it unfortunately. At least I have a donor now haha.
@PainfulDwayne funny you should mention modding. I have a 3dsxl that I've modded but since I can read instructions I didn't brick my own device. But was getting a feeling that it might have been a possibility. Now kicking myself for not having the guts to put that out there 😅. No clue if you can reach out to the seller and see if they possibly have the nand backup?
Hey man, I'd work on the sharpness of your camera, it messes with how your face looks, so dig into some settings to help that. Also there's only silence while you're talking, having some ambient noise, just loud enough to hear without going over your speaking volume would help.
This is something that has been frustrating me for a while tbh!! It looks great while recording and on the PC, but when I look at the video, it's almost blurred out! I've been messing with ambient noise, too, in other videos. One video I had low absent noise throughout and lounder while I wasn't talking and when I looked at the stats people were skipping almost the whole video (clearly just could be that, that video in particular was boring) but I haven't had the courage to try it again 🤣🤣
As far as the problem my bet would be on damage flex cable for top or bottom display. If you press a battery onto the board while removed from the case and powering it on what does it do? Blue light comes on and then goes off after a few seconds? If you see any sharp creases in the flex cable near the hinge I would suspect that cable is bad. I would also inspect all the connectors to see if you've got any bent or missing pins inside. I would also try to start up without the camera plugged in.
Hello mate! I actually replaced the lower LCD and digitiser for a brand new one in the video so I know that the flex on that one is fine and the top one looks to have been replaced by the previous person. After I replaced the lower LCD I tried to turn it on and the symptoms were the same. Blue light, no pop or crackle, no flash from either screen. Even when I toggle the WiFi switch, that light doesn't come on! I even checked to see if it was soft mod bricked by powering on with certain button combinations. I've fixed a few DS's now and I've been pretty good and finding the problem. This is the first one that stumped me.
@@PainfulDwayne Your new one should be good indeed. Even though someone else "replaced" the top screen it could be bad or they did something bad in the top case. I would pop that open and have a look. Though first I would try powering the board up with nothing plugged in by holding the battery on the mainboard and see what the behavior is.
@@PainfulDwayne WAIIITTTITITITT! Try replacing the sd card. If it's modded, then it could be a software issue. You said the you couldn't hear a pop or crackle, so that makes me think it has something to do with the software. I had that problem a lot with my old 3ds. I do not think it has anything to do with the screens. Try testing a new sd card and turn off the console, then hold start and the power button and see if a godmode9 loads. If not, then idk???
I was thinking it was soft modded. I tried to boot while holding start and didn't work, tried with select and didn't work and tried with the bigger combination of buttons and it didn't work. I'm not too familiar with soft mods so what do you mean by try nrtboot? 😀
@@PainfulDwaynewhen I tried nodding my original 3DS I accidentally tried loading a boot loader for New 3DS and it caused nearly the same issue. Unfortunately that happened in 2016 and I haven’t fixed it since 😅
I'd recommend wearing gloves. Even the smallest amount of oil from your skin can cause issues with the touch screen. Even replacing a screen protector is important as long as you wear gloves. It does not matter how many times you wash or bleach your hands; your body will just make more stuff to secrete. Just normal latex gloves will do. Not trying to be rude; just thought I'd give some advice.
Nothing rude about giving advice! 😁 I've tried wearing gloves in the past. I actually have a few boxes to hand. I really hate the feel of them, so I try my best to do without them. I've never actually caused any issues or made anything worse so far, but obviously, there's still a chance I can.
@@PainfulDwayne another XL because it's driver to know coping data from another 3ds xl will also copy drivers and software if it's same 3ds xl copied to corrupt one it will work and get it's driver too. using normal 3ds to copy to 3ds xl can make software and drivers issues which can having critical issues on 3ds xl. But I'm not sure if copying 3ds xl to corrupt 3ds xl can make it work I know electronic can have corrupt software but just try it and maybe it will work

Do you mean with nothing at all plugged in? How will I know if it's booting?

i think it had corrupt bios or corrupt storage just reflash from working same ds copy data and paste on that bsod ds
Will a working 3ds do or does it need to be another XL?
