Great video. I owned a 2002 VW Bora 1.9 TDI for nine and a half years until I part ex'd it in August 2018 for a 2015 3 door Fiesta Zetec Ecoboost 100ps . All I can say is WOW. The power delivery almost matches the Bora...it feels no different pulling off from standing start. I've always loved the Fiesta. My wife bought a 63 plate 1.25 Fiesta in March and it has no where near the power delivery that the Ecoboost has. MPG has a lot to do with driving style, and I average just under 50mpg according to the dash readout. Also, don't forget that if you have been driving a bigger car like I was, it would have had a bigger fuel tank, whereas, the Fiesta will be smaller. I do not mind to be honest. The car has everything I need, although, my main bugbear is remembering to switch off the STOP/START..This should be off automatically in my eyes and you should switch it on if that is your preference.Having been a former big motorbike rider, it was always a weekly ritual for me to check my tyre pressures...this followed me when I moved back to 4 wheels...My Fiesta has a tyre pressure sensor, so I can have them at my desired setting and have the car remember this. The car will inform me if any of the tyres start to lose pressure...great feature. Love the DAB radio.Fantastic heater which Ford are renowned for. Heated front screen will be a Godsend this winter instead of freezing myself half to death in the diesel I used to drive. One other niggle...the air con..did Ford have to have it come on automatically when you put the blowers on?. Granted, I know that air con can clear the windows quicker, but that should be the option for the driver to switch on. Other than that, this is a car I would highly recommend, and at ZERO road tax, you cannot go wrong. On a funnier note....did Ford try to instill a little nostalgia for the older driver?...When you sit behind the wheel, why does it resemble ROLAND RAT?...Look at a side by side comparison and you oldies like me will know what I mean..Once seen, it cannot be unseen.
Loved my 1.0 Ecoboost Fiesta for the 18 months I had it but the MPG is no where near close to advertised (As usual) I got a new job with a long motorway commute and was only getting around 43-44mpg maintaining 70mph. Switched to a brand new A3 Diesel and I'm now getting 60mpg. However if my commute was still around the city I'd have kept my Fiesta for many years to come.
This was a good review. I've always found what car video reviews a little boring in some places and the presenters a bit hit and miss and as well boring. It was very concise and detailed which is something that Car buyer are missing a trick on, what's more the presenter knew what he was talking about. No one can match Mat Watson though
Has anyone had the problem of the wrench light coming on the 1.5 diesel? Ford told me that I don't do enough mileage. It's had 2 oil changes at 3000 miles.
@@ps36081 yeh I know how to do it now I need to keep it over 40mph for at least 10 mins. So when I'm on motorway doing 40 that's why if I travel too quick I will arrive at work too quick.
Great review as always, I own one of these currently. What I hate is the plastic part of the passenger and driver seat just around the seat adjustment lever, it's now broken because my leg keep getting caught in while getting out of the car! It's not a durable plastic so it breaks easily and now I will have to do some repairs and epoxy it! The other one is the plastic roofing at the top of the back wiper, why Ford, why!? Now it's pretty faded from the sun!
I've had a 14 plate, econetic zetec for over 3yrs now and it has the upgraded Sony DAB infotainment console, which, while much better than the one in this review, still has many, many buttons.
I have a 2015 Ford fiesta and the transmission has to be replaced for the 3rd time. there are numerous class action lawsuits against Ford on the Ford fiesta DPS 6 transmission.

I see your comments if from 4 years ago, but ofcourse there will be a difference between a petrol engine and a diesel.

Great little car, very fun to drive. However, the 1.25L engine seems to drink fuel like there is no tomorrow.
How much mpg can you expect please
@@hello-jc1rx about 35 mpg
Very good car❤❤❤
Do you drive mostly urban?
@@GoogleGebruiker Yes,mostly
Shanjan Usman: NO! It still looks better than any other compact car on the market today!
1.5tdci is great, I had that engine in my 2017 Focus. From 16k to 118k miles without problems.
Looks beautiful and such a stunning vehicle, hopefully I will be able to get my hands on it one day.
Can anyone help with the information with the objects strapped into the left side of the car. Are they items for a spare safe saver wheel
It's probably the safety triangle kit and tools to change the tire.
Best subcompact ever

Nice car, but the build quality is poor the A pillar rattles like mad, when you go around a corner you near creaking noises
? I never got that
52.3mpg diesel? Thats way below a Honda HRV. I would go for that instead.
Nigel Swan?
Ah yes! The famous motoring "expert".
Nasty dash imo..

Honda HRV better choice
It seems outdated in 2016 this version has been around since Oct 2008. Let it die now.

Not to mention nothing has caught up to its steering and handling.
