I really hope the information helps someone who’s in the market for a car , so long I can keep the next person from making the same mistakes I made then I’m happy to share.
I loved my fiesta. I had a 2021 Trend model. Great driving, low fuel consumption and had all the necessary features. Sadly I had to let it go. But I would definitely recommend this car 👌🏻
On other brands you have to pay extra to get decent sound but with the Ford Fiesta they give it as standard 👌🏾 I was impressed from the first day I turned on my radio.
I bought a fiesta ecoboost Titanium because of this video. Let me tell you that thing is a rocket. Sports mode always emptying my pockets but I'm not complaining
Honestly it’s the best driving car in its class , you’d say for sure it has more kilowatts than what they claim , after 3 years driving the fiesta it still puts a smile on my face…
Nice video. Regarding parts, they will only be an issue after plus minus 15-20 years, Ford SA keeps parts for many many years especially those that are bought often
I was watching your Ford Ranger Raptor review the other day , so when it comes to Ford I know you’re the man to speak to Josiah , if they will keep parts for plus minus 15-20 years as you say then Fiesta owners are sorted , thank you for sharing 🫡
I own one myself, the 92kW one in manual trim and let me tell you this thing is a pocket rocket. That 1.0T ecoboost engine is one if not the only punchiest 1 litre engine there is. The Fiesta chassis has always been the best in its segment, very engaging and steering is slightly heavy but communicative. I did 210km/h on the N14 coming from Krugersdorp and it was exhilarating and the car just kept being planted barring the speed limiter. Cost of ownership is alright for the car and what you get, my city driving hovers around 5.4l to 6l and never more, highway I get 4l to 4.8l all per km. My work commute is 10km away and on a full tank I can literally get three weeks including weekend driving, I kid you not. Very good car, these ecoboost engines need a very mechanically minded owner, service intervals is 15000 km but never do that or you'll regret buying this, always change your oil between 7000 km and 10000km oh and always use Castrol 5w20 and nothing else. I could write a book about this car
😂😂😂 you sound like a Proper Fan of the Fiesta Velly and I completely understand , I’ve never met a Ford Fiesta owner who wasn’t inlove with their car , it’s brilliant and for it’s price I still say it’s a bargain for the performance and driver engagement it offers.
@@mrhowmuch Exactly man, it's just that there's so few of the mk8 that I can't really meet anyone driving it and share that experience. Glad I found a South African youtuber who actually owns one and loves it. Like yours I bought mine from a ford dealership as it was a trade in from Avis, a bargain at R211k for what it's worth, still has manufacturers warranty, and was at 79k km. Biggest advice I can give is always make sure that Ford puts a 5w20 with the wss m2c948 b specification and that timing belt and oil pump will thank you later. Enjoy the car
Bruh, I owned one for 1 year. Sold it a few weeks back for much higher than I got it for. It is probably the best small car you can buy. Had 74kw but I don’t know if its true but it feels a lot quicker than the usual 74kw.
@@vellymagagula6490 I also have one, Mine is an Auto, got it with 15k on the clock, now have 46k on it. Never had a problem and I love it. It's going for the last service around January or Feb but only because it has been a year since its last service. So it hit 4 years before 60k, also had to change tires because they were getting too old and starting to crack rather than because they where worn. Hoping to maintain some resale value by keeping it clean and keeping kms down which is easy because I work from home permanently.
I bought a new one almost exactly two years ago and am very pleased with it, but have become very aware of the vulnerable "wet belts" that have been known to fail after four years, ruining the engine; it's essential that the correct oil is used and preferably changed every year. Very late models have chains, not belts, and I very nearly bought one.

Great video mate. I am seriously considering the Titanium trim of this, actually test drove one yesterday and the car feels pretty solid vs the new i20 which I test drove. I agree when you say the car is engaging. The quiet cabin and engine performance makes this car feel a lot more premium than it's other competitors, imo. A few questions from me: 1) How much did the tyres cost to replace on the car? 2) Would you say spending extra on the Titanium vs Trend would be worth it?
Hi there, I have a similar car ecoboost trend. The tyres that comes with the car(Michelin 16 inch) are quite expensive they like 1.9k each. But you can get other cheaper brands for around 1k each tyre. The titanium has more power 92kw same torque of 175Nm as the trend and has 17 inch wheels, rain sensors, start button and some of the specs mentioned in this video. So it would depend on what you're looking for. Hope this helps👍🏿
Everything Sthe said is spot on… As yes I got the Michelin tyres because of the performance they offer , they cost R 1 900 each , there are cheaper options available as he said… The Titanium does in fact have more power but only on the Manual Transmission, the Automatic has the same power as the Trend , so depending on the deals you get and if you want the extra features you could get the titanium but honestly the Trend is good enough. personally I regret not getting the Titanium, the price difference was simply unjustifiable for me but these days you could find decent offers on both models.
Great video except for the Drake & 21 Savage stuff 😅 Quick q. Does the sport mode change the cars aggression and suspension at all? And is this feature in all these Fiesta's or only your model?
It changes the throttle response, by design the throttle on these mk8's is very sensitive to the touch so in normal or sport mode the throttle response is quite immediate.
I just came back to watch this video for the second time after purchasing this car, it's good but fuel consumption 😢😢😢 but driving vo ma 80KM/H it doesn't consume that much
I have a similar one, just wish I had went for a titanium, I feel the seats aren't so supportive aND the lack of an armrest is working on me. Another this is the small fuel tank. Apart from that, good car
I also wish I got the Titanium to be honest , I never knew the importance of an armrest until I drove this car long distance , I also agree with you on the fuel tank they could have made it bigger as I constantly have to fill up , thanks for bringing this up Moeketsi…

It changes the throttle response, by design the throttle on these mk8's is very sensitive to the touch so in normal or sport mode the throttle response is quite immediate.
I want my car to last long is it reliable any common repairs i should know about
i have a fiesta st 2022 1,5 200 cv and is juicy!
The 2014/16 1.0L eco boost were well known for blowing up have they fixed this issue with this model?
Some the last year or so's production had the controversial "wet belt" replaced with a chain.
Direction when selling it i love the car
My budget is kinda tight, is upgrading to B&O Audio system worth it over stock sound? Thanks
Great car... why is it discontinued ?
I just came back to watch this video for the second time after purchasing this car, it's good but fuel consumption 😢😢😢 but driving vo ma 80KM/H it doesn't consume that much
I've just bought uncapped for you mnganam 🤟💯😂
The story of yanus is heartbreaking😢😢😢
In terms of financing, did u went to different banks to do the application?
Lekker review
I have a similar one, just wish I had went for a titanium, I feel the seats aren't so supportive aND the lack of an armrest is working on me. Another this is the small fuel tank. Apart from that, good car
I also wish I got the Titanium to be honest , I never knew the importance of an armrest until I drove this car long distance , I also agree with you on the fuel tank they could have made it bigger as I constantly have to fill up , thanks for bringing this up Moeketsi…
The side profile of this car looks very similar to the hyundai accent hatchback
Fanstic video🔥🔥🔥🎉🗣️I'm currently driving the same model plus car trend 2020 auto.... I Love my son yep my son!! the drive is awesome and the way he takes corners😍... And Yoh Thixo Sport Mode💪🗣️👌 done boys trip drove 4rm Jozi to Cape Town none stop straight and what a fanstic drive... When u press hard yep he eats petrol lyk crazy and tank is kinda small. I shall be trading him in reli soon due to vehicle been discontinued in SA and worldwide next year fiesta will no longer be produced.
😂😂😂 he needs a light foot , the small tank really sucks especially on road trips.
I really hope Ford SA comes up with more entry level options for people who don’t want an Ecosport and those who can’t afford the Ranger and Everest cause they are an excellent brand.
@@mrhowmuch Sbwling the Ford Puma to come to SA🤞🕯️
Great car
Budget car but it does the work
I think they made a terrible mistake, why was it discontinued bro?? 🤷🏾♂️💯...
i also want this car what is the fuel consumption per 100km
It’s in the review…
Ola mjita👍....It a shame this car has been discontinued, it's a brilliant driver's car.it's also a good option consideringthe petrol⛽ prices today👀...
"It not my fault, it engaging "😁..
I’m really not happy that it’s been discontinued because it means the only entry level ford left is the EcoSport for now.
@@mrhowmuch And that car is not the best😕
Yoh this exactly the car I’ve been looking for, same mileage, price and year model. Unfortunately I’ve been getting expensive ones ranging from R260000 and above😢😢
I just checked there are a lot of much cheaper ones than 260K some are even 2019 models from proper dealerships , where have you been looking ?
I've seen a lot 2018 models ranging from around r200k though.. look for multiple dealerships and compare prices
when is polo story coming? hit me with a link if u did produce it
So just a quick question, does the insurance come with the tracker?
Hey Patrick, No I took them separately.
i also got mines on a price of R195 000 AT AVICE VERY NICE CAR AND ALOT CHEAPER
I drive the 2021 titanium. Brilliant car. My second Fiesta. Parts will not be difficult as it shares parts and platform with the Ecosport. The 1.0 ecoboost engine used in the FOCUS which is discontinued as well as the Ecosport. Parts will not be an issue
I’m hoping they bring the Ford Puma in 2023 , I’ve seen really good reviews about it , it would really help fill the gap left by the Fiesta.
I’m really hoping to get the very same model this year or next year. Would you recommend? Been shopping around and I’ve only seen models ranging from 60000km - 65000km, still a good buy?
Bro, do you think its worth it to buy this Fiesta in 2024.
@@sunsetsessionso.d3205 if you can find a well serviced one from a reputable dealership then yes…

whats your day job?
Aircraft mechanic
Why don't you rather take out a service and warranty plan that to go start over a whole new debt?🤷🏾♂️. From this review it sounds like a car to keep. There will always be 3rd party parts even after Ford stops supplying parts
It’s definitely a car to keep and you make very valid points Masedi il give it some thought.
Honestly love the previous mk .. mk7 face-lift trend... and also the mk6 Trend face-lift... they have more of a beast look... the mk8 just looks like princess car... lol you bought a car from a car rental company 😂😂😂😂😂😂.. never ever do that...😂😂😂😂... we thrash these cars bruh. ...via robots we use no brakes we balance... than you wana go and buy it😂😂😂
