I prefer the Kia Rio. I like the looks better than the others and the 1.1 CRDi Diesel has a nice engine sound. My dad has 64 reg 2015 Rio in red a d it looks nice and has plenty of room in the back for me (I am 6 ft and 3.5 inches). Much better value than boring Polo and common Fiesta. Looks fresher and more modern.
I think the rio looks quite boring and a bit ugly even. The fiesta looks sporty and fun to me and the polo looks very good but maybe a bit boring

I'm not sure if you tested the 1.2 TSI Polo, but it sure is very fun! The turbo makes it behave like a 1.8 liter engine, and the noise it makes is quite lovely, it growls!! Also, it's funnier to drive since it's much more agile than the one you drove, and it has the same equipment!
Its all Based on opinions, I Drive a Kia Rio 3 2013 1.4 and I like it, its comfortable , very good equipment as standard, and too be honest Its quick and now I'm not saying it will blits every hatchback but its quick for what it is.
I left a BMW 1 series ;)

I've been torn between the Polo and Fiesta for almost a year now, but I think I've finally decided it's the Fiesta that I'm going to go for. Cheers, great video!
And by the way, if you can afford the better eco-boost Fiesta, THEN go for Ford. I will not discuss that choice. If not, go VW and be a mature car owner. (By the way, the Polo is generous on the kms you can run with a single tank fill.

Turns out I managed to get a great deal on a VW Polo so I went for that instead. Had it for 2yrs now and love it!

My fiesta used to break down once atleast in month , its not the best its infact very far from it
They are good at first but , as they age they tend to have a lot of problems like the window winders , door trims , seat handles , cat convertors are also an issue
Not really, I've heard they're very reliable as they age, maybe it was just bad look
Fiesta is no match for yaris , sadly they are made in france now 😵😨 2010 onward the fiesta might just be better than the yaris

Having owned 3 Kias I can't see how they could be described as 'slow'. The Rio with 1.5CRDI has lots of acceleration. It is quiet on motorways and returns 65mpg
they are driving a 1.1l desil and are saying its slow. What do they expect?

If you choose a Fiesta, make sure it is a standard shift. The automatic transmissions start shifting rough and slipping at 30K miles and have to be replaced or rebuilt. Ford is not correcting the problem in design and just letting it happen.

The rio is the best in my opinion, the fiesta was not comfy on thebtest drive and the polo was quite expensjve to get the same tech in the entry level rio

The Polo really is on another level when it comes to the interior quality. I've been looking for a new small car and sat in the Polo, but I won't buy it because of the price.

Well, I personally see both as the same quality. Both good panel fits, both soft touch on the tops of the dash, both scratchy plastics lower down. The Fiesta interior has more appealing decor in my opinion, both are similar quality in terms of fit and finish, wouldn't say one is 'screwed together better' than the other. The Fiesta's design appeals more, too. But that's subjective.

Another level? You've got to be joking me! VW Polo is the worst car in this segment, i've tried the all the 3 cars reviewed and I can tell you, the overall winner should be the Rio, because it looks nice, drive well, most important it is well build and it gives more value and quality for you cash! Fiesta second, it is indeed the best to drive, but being Ford, it is unreliable and with this recent face lift it was turned from probably one of the best looking, to the ugliest small car. Last is the Polo. It is tiny, nasty shit box, without any particular charm and even that German badge should not mean a lot if people are not completely asleep, especially after they fucked up the entire world with their nasty emission tricks and softwares. It not the price, simply VW sucks from whatever angle you looked at it. The Golf is no match to Volvo V40, Passat is no match to V60. I will not buy any German overpriced average build quality shit box!
Well we can agree on that the Rio has the best value (source: I drive one now ;) ) But I still think the interior materials on the new Polo were a bit more upmarket.

Awesome video, these two should do more videos together.
They make the review interesting, as it has a personal and unique touch.
I don't particularly like any of those hatchbacks to be honest, I would rather have something like a Bmw 1 series, Lexus CT200h, Audi A3, new Mercedes A-class, etc. and if any of these was deemed to expensive I would still rather go for a Mazda 3 or the likes.
Interestingly enough these two share the same name as characters on the TV show Vampire Diaries.
Those are not only too expensive for the purpose of this video, but they are also Hot Hatches, these are Superminis in this video.
