Literally an exceptional drummer who can play in a trio for 2 hours without having rehearsed and who at the end of each song concludes perfectly at the same time as the other musicians who had rehearsed.

Does anybody know what the stick hack is that Carter uses starting at around @9:05? Looks like a tube or pen casing attached to the end of a Questlove sig stick. Killer sound.

Depending on the activity carried out, different areas of the organ will be more or less solicited: vision, understanding of language, calculation, immediate and long-term memory, coordination of gestures, etc.
@@lieutenantcolumbo114 the myth that we don’t use the full capacity of our brain is a myth based off of awful medieval science. Obviously all parts and pathways aren’t firing off at once, but to say we can’t “unlock some secret potential” of the brain is super lame to be spreading around
I really dig Charlies sense of time, always tapping his foot right on the beat, I’ll be playing with some cats that tap their foot all over the place and you could imagine their time because of that.

Charlie came up in a band called TJ Kirk that stood for Thelonious Monk, James Brown, and Rashaan Roland Kirk. They played a fusion of jazz, blues, funk, rock, and even what seems like hip hop at times. Charlie definitely can't be placed in one genre.
