If you have a bmw car which has misfiring codes or rough idle, and you have changed the plugs and coils or even injectors but the misfiring codes still there and rough idle still persist - just do this. 1. Change your eccentric sensor with a new one, your misfire codes and rough idle will go away for good. *Remember just change/ replace your Eccentric Sensor*

I just changed all my plugs and coils at 107k it made a major difference to how the engine ran. I would recommend redoing your ignition system if one coil has already failed, the rest probably aren't performing the best they could, and its only 150 for a full bosch set
Both the spark plugs and ignition coils had all already been replaced once before at 80k miles so that’s why I didn’t replace all of them. I’m at 115k right now. But if you’re pushing 100k and they have never been replaced, that’s definitely a good idea 👍
@@songlee1253 for 1 pack of 6 ignition coils? or 6 packs of 6 ignition coils? for 1 pack of 6 thats way expensive should be around $170 for some Bosch coils. If 6 packs of 6 coils then $600 is about what it would cost
OMG did you just solve my problem? I’ll find out shortly. I guess my car has been doing the exact same thing and I could not figure it out. Someone was saying it may be O2 sensor going to try to change the coil out myself and see if that helps. Thank you so much so happy I found this video.

Thanks! I would agree with you there however with my situation, all 6 of mine had been replaced once before so I figured this one just failed prematurely. I didn't feel it was necessary to replace all since the other 5 most likely have plenty of life left in them. I still haven't had any misfires since doing this video and its almost been a year.
Dude so check this I bought a 328xi 07 and it’s doing everything that you described I’m so dead set that it’s the PCV causing this issue however after watching your video I did realize that I only changed the spark plugs and they were toast ! I'm actually having the same symptoms (plus occasional stalling due to the stutter) and after a long fight with multiple issues and exchanging all spark plugs and coils, Valvetronic servomotor, eccentric shaft position sensor, vacuum pump, oil sensor, alternator, and the intake manifold pressure sensor I'm left with no more codes but this stutter 😢I have an N46 from 2005 with 129 bhp. After some pushing it did spit out an error about the vanos intake but one that would not even light up on the dash and it did not come back, but it's my last guess on solving this annoyance. I'll also give a try to cleaning the mass airflow sensor since I can see in INPA that it does not read any data (though no corresponding errors). I hope I'll be able to get back here and share the good news soon 🙏
Mate, we got the same problem with mine. Stalls sometimes on a red light. No codes. I've replaced the spark plugs, cleaned the injectors, new filters, changed oil. But still happens sometimes. How did you go by the way?

I'm looking to get a compression test to make sure if it's the valves. I have LPG on mine and custom mapping the control unit made clear that one cylinder has some problems, all the more pointing towards a valve issue.
When I press the gas on the 328i it almost feels as if it dosnt go immediately like say I’m going 20 and then I push it , it stays the same speed for a second or 2 then goes

Changed: -Valvetronic (eccentric shaft) sensor: The connector on top of the valve cover was full of oil -VANOS Solenoids: No fault code at first It is pretty much gone now, only after cold start a little delay. But first, check that your oil filter housing is complete with this tiny O-Ring. If it is missing, you loose oil pressure and the whole VANOS system freaks out because of it.

After 7 month of my car misfiring I took to mechanic he gave me a list of parts I need the price came up to $5000….. yet to find out all I needed to do was change the spark plugs make sure you use oem coils and oem spark plugs in cylinder 4.5.&6
@@InlineSixAuto at first it was a bunch after getting my cake cover gasket replaced, it was throwing all kinds of codes such as vanos inlet and outlet, and eccentric shaft sensor and a couple more. The shop said I should drive it for a couple days and if it keeps on idling rough or stalling to bring it it back, after the first day the rough idling went away but 2 days after it came back even worse and my car was struggling to even stay idling. (Had to floor it it keep it running with out stalling) My car ended up going into limp mode so it was a pain in the ads trying to drive it back to the mechanic, they were getting low voltage codes and to replace my battery to further diagnose it ( keep in mind my battery at the time was kind of shitty) so after I got the battery all the problems went away 😭😭🤣, who knew a crappy battery could cause all those problems and codes.
One thing about misfires is that the plugs may have gotten damaged, so it's usually a good idea to replace the plugs and ignition coils. I'm sure you have gotten it fixed by now though, so what was the fix?

My 2011 E91 is currently having this same issue and turns out it’s my “crankshaft A” (intake side) timing sprocket 🙂 it’s slipped hard twice that it triggered my “malfunction while driving” warning 🤦🏽♂️ (it goes to the shop Monday when they’re open)

This is normal. Automatic 328is have a button built under the gas pedal that when pressed down, will downshift the transmission to the lowest possible gear to enable maximum acceleration. If you push down the pedal all the pay just before the click, it will still downshift but not to the lowest possible gear. Also, when in manual mode, if you floor it without hitting the button, it will just give it wide open throttle and not change gears very similar to a true manual, however if you push the kickback button, it’ll downshift even in manual mode. Hope this helps.

Did you get a check engine light at all? You should check for error codes. Those will guide you in the direction for figuring out what is causing the car to do that. I don't think you need a new engine. it just sounds like a sensor is getting a bad reading or maybe a coil is bad. Really could be so many things with these cars, that's why reading the error codes would be the most helpful. You can purchase the BimmerLink app and an OB2 adapter to connect to the car via Bluetooth for around $55. It will be able to read any error codes for you. That'll be your cheapest option instead of taking it to a shop and charging like a $100 plus just to diagnose it the same exact way.
And for anyone considering getting the el-cheapo Chinese eBay / Amazon coils, I don't recommend them. I installed some on a car of mine, and a year later there were strange running issues happening - turned out a couple of those chinese coils were bad. So, stay away from them.

Test if its a bad ignition coil by moving the ignition coils in cylinders 5 & 6 to cylinder 3 & 4 then clear the codes. Then see if the misfire moves to cylinders 3 & 4. This will tell you that its bad ignition coils

i have a e90 2010 328i and I changed all my ignition coils and spark plugs and my camshaft sensors and crank shaft sensor all new and it still rough idles and almost stalls when I’m stoped and it drives somewhat normal but sounds completely different I have no clue what the problem could be I need help
My E90 does the same exact thing. When I come to a complete stop at a red light, maybe a few seconds later, it jerks a bit forward. The best way that I personally can describe it is that it feels like someone tapped you from the rear.

So now everyone who hasnt changed oil in last 2 years, uses 87 gas and is not sure what air filter is, not mentioning ridiculous things like cam shaft sensors, o2 sensors and mass air flow. GO AND CHANGE THE COIL ON CYLINDER #3 RIGHT NOW!!! Dont you dare waste your money on diagnose!!
Thats a code for a cylinder misfire. That would be the issue I described in the video. From what I've seen its usually caused by a bad sparkplug, bad injector, or a bad ignition coil. Mine ended up being a bad ignition coil
I have changed all spark plugs and coils. New HPFP and 2 new Vanos solenoids. Also changed oil and coolant. But still have a rough idle when AC is OFF. Any ideas? N53 E92.

I don't have a misfire code but I do have a slight fuel pump in suction jet but when I turn the AC on I have no problem after that

Man I hope this works bro I’m going to try this I’m the morning and replace all ignition coils and spark plugs just cause I can’t get a code on my OBD port was hit so hopefully this works I’ve been having this problem quiet a while with the gas and stutter so hopefully not too late cause it’s really really bad right now thanks for the advice I hope this works

I don't think so. It would cause the engine to run very rough. Not just affect exhaust sound alone

Test if its a bad ignition coil by moving the ignition coils in cylinders 5 & 6 to cylinder 3 & 4 then clear the codes. Then see if the misfire moves to cylinders 3 & 4. This will tell you that its bad ignition coils

@@InlineSixAuto also my car idle is weird it dowsnt have engine knock our nothing but the exhaust gets like blow by and sounds like it pops every second and then when you step on it it feels rubbing sluggish

i have a e90 2010 328i and I changed all my ignition coils and spark plugs and my camshaft sensors and crank shaft sensor all new and it still rough idles and almost stalls when I’m stoped and it drives somewhat normal but sounds completely different I have no clue what the problem could be I need help

My E90 does the same exact thing. When I come to a complete stop at a red light, maybe a few seconds later, it jerks a bit forward. The best way that I personally can describe it is that it feels like someone tapped you from the rear.

Having same issue, i can’t find the problem, when I’m on a complete stop or low rpm and star gaining moment on the second gear it pulls forward then back and I’ve been trying so sold this problem for about a year now, ugh :( I replace crankshaft sensor, cam shaft, fuel pump with filter, transmission oil change with seals, by the way it’s gm transmutation 6cylinder 3.0l I need help
So now everyone who hasnt changed oil in last 2 years, uses 87 gas and is not sure what air filter is, not mentioning ridiculous things like cam shaft sensors, o2 sensors and mass air flow.

Thats a code for a cylinder misfire. That would be the issue I described in the video. From what I've seen its usually caused by a bad sparkplug, bad injector, or a bad ignition coil. Mine ended up being a bad ignition coil

I have changed all spark plugs and coils. New HPFP and 2 new Vanos solenoids. Also changed oil and coolant. But still have a rough idle when AC is OFF. Any ideas?

You want to swap in a whole new n52 engine?
What do you mean by swap?? You have a 328i means your engine is by default an N52.

Any idea on what would make my 2011 328i bmw completely loose power? Car will start just fine but when I press the gas the revolutions will go up but it wont move... I got a code P00BC, I chabged the MAF sensor but nothing. Now I see some smoke by the firewall..... 🙄🙄🙄 any ideas?
Sounds like fuel issue. Check your fuel pump and clean your injectors
