I believe you are referring to Daniel Pink's work, if so, then the point around money not being a motivator is incomplete (please correct me if I am wrong). Pink shared that when an individual is doing technical tasks (repetitive tasks) they can be motivated by money. However, when we are doing creative work, even if we are finding creative solutions for repetitive tasks then money is not a motivator.
