I definitely agree with her. Speaking with myself and shadowing are the best practices. Easy to do, no judgement and so useful to make automatic reflex for the brain. ❤❤ Thanks Jennifer for interviewing her. ❤❤️
so I can say, I'm not crazy I do converse with me myself to improve the language I am studying. And I do use AI chat CPT as well 😊 . Love this interview
This is something that I would tell my students all the time so that they could exercise their mind in English. I would tell them to talk to themselves about what they’re doing in the moment and what they’re about to do in English as a way of practicing those common useful phrases.
i just realized i have the same habit like her and it’s totally work for me, learning languages doesn’t have to be in school or so formal like taking courses. You can just walking and listen to podcast or using duolingo when u bored instead of social media. It was tht easy.
Thanks, Pearly. It's incredible how a person as young as you can learn five languages completely different from your native language and diverse among themselves, like English, French, Japanese, Arabic, and Spanish. Congrats on the success of your UA-cam channel! You're really awesome! Thank you, Jennifer, for presenting such amazing people to your viewers! 🌷🥳😘💕🩷
You speak like a native speaker already.. thanks a lot for sharing your practical experiences, Speaking a language especially in English isn't easy to learn immediately , your lazy way advice is awesome to follow for the people who are busy at work and have no time to sit down to practice the language. This content is very useful for all the English learners. Again thanks a lot and have a great day.
In my case, when I discovered that I had a B2 level in English, I rolled in an online course on coursera to start learning more difficult things because there're moments when you feel stuck so you must integrate another strategy, just enjoy it and be consistent, never give up, thing in what is the purpose to be learning that specific thing. 🎉🎉
What a great interview with the polyglot Pearly! She discussed very important points to learn foreign languages! Teacher and your guest thank you so much ❤️!
This is basically what I have been doing to expand my abilities in French and it’s amazing how well it works. I stream France 24 as background noise, listen to slow French podcasts while driving, watch cute kids’ cartoons on UA-cam and TV series on Lingopie. I make sure I speak as much as possible too. My main rule is that it has to be fun/easy. The amazing part of that is that language learning is my happy place; the opposite of a chore! So much dopamine 😅
Teacher Jennifer, shadow!👍 What a super helpful conversation!😃 I gained a myriad of easy ways that help to become fluent quickly.🔥 I'm committed to boosting my English by using these tips.🤞 Thanks for showing us how to manage our English learning time, even with our busy lives!🧡 Thanks to Teacher Jennifer and Pearly for sharing these million-dollar tips through such a great conversation!🧡 I had a blast with this awesome conversation.💪 You rock!🤩
Big fan of pearly so I found this interview. Native English speaker learning Spanish and Korean. I totally agree with speaking practice. I like how she delineates between speaking and conversation practice. You’re absolutely right that nothing is holding us back from getting speaking practice. I have used chat gpt also for convo practice. If we want a live person to communicate with and no one is free we can use italki for example. I have been shadowing these past few weeks and I got complimented on my pronunciation by a native Korean speaker in my class. It works !
Excellent way to improve our language skills. I usually use my social media as facebook postting all in english in a country where all my friends are speaking portuguese as yours native language. Some of them are answer me and giving your like, so they`re are learning indirectally as well. It, in the beguinning, could to sound a little crazy, althoug it works. In addition I`m studyng and watching your videos, cause you`re really professional and dedicated to your porpose to teach us at the best way possible.
I really loved this video. That's exactly what I do to learn English and Portuguese since I don't like spending a lot of time stydiyng in a traditional way. Thanks for sharing this content.
Thanks for sharing these learning skills! It's really useful for people who are afraid of speaking foreign languages in front of others. I think the most important part for me is that when speaking any language I am learning, I don't have to be afraid of making mistakes, and it's because when I make mistakes, it's probably a chance to improve my English speaking skills.
But for me, I'm learning from mistakes. A few years back while i was at work, my superior even commented that I spoke broken English. I felt hurt at first but life still goes on afterall we're not native-born English speaking. Cheers to Pearly and thanks Jennifer for this video.🍻🍻✅
Great conversation madam, take away from here, make a mistake, think as native speaker, shadow practice, appreciate madam your efforts and dedication.❤
Hi Jennifer! Thanks, Jennifer and Pearly! Shadow! Jennifer, you're apt to make extensive, versatile lessons. There's something for everyone, really! Pearly, I commend you for being quite fluent in English. Your pronunciation was rather good as well. I agree with you, as for language learning, sometimes you have to "go outside of your comfort zone" to make progress. I try to do that, too. Let's remember: "Failure teaches success"! Making English language learning an enjoyable journey is a good way to become more fluent. That's the way I like it, too! I took heed of your tip of using ChatGPT as a tool to study English. Actually, I took it one step forward. I asked ChatGPT to make a casual conversation about travelling, in which I answered the questions, and after every question I went through possible corrections. Finally, I read through the corrected sentence three times out loud. I made only a couple of minor mistakes. To sum up, it was a good practice. I'm going to do it again someday down the road! Best wishes to everybody!
I started to practice speaking English with Chat Gpt4 recently, like that girl said. It's hard for me, but I'm improving by little. I loved this video, Jennifer, as usual. Keep working like that. You're doing great.
Thank you so much 🤗 I'm still getting comfortable being an interviewer and knowing what questions to ask and how to comment on the answers. So I appreciate your encouragement! ❤
It was a great conversation with her . We want to see always like this vidoe it was easy , I understood all what you said in that video . I started learning english five months ago ,I teach my self by myself . I focused for listening a lot maybe I don't understand all ,but I did do my best so I try every time to think without translation yeh I still do mistakes , and I will do more I don't care . What's important for me is learing enough for make a simple conversation .
@@JForrestEnglish take care my teacher . We love you from marocco , visit us here . I will guide you here , And after that will see if my language is good or not 😁❤️

7:00 but talking to yourself only removes hesitation to speak but what about mistakes what about confidence when they have to face real life scenario how someone would get same confidence and clarity like he's not making mistake or what kind of mistake he's making or how he would fix this without any guidance and this thing can only receive by language partner who is good. The people who don't have language partner it means they couldn't find or make that person who is actually good and whats the benefit of speaking alone if that person isn't able to speak before people just because he didn't have partner and somehow he got fluency.
My first language is Indonesian, followed by English as my second language, and then German as my third. Ever since I started learning German, my English has turned into Denglish (Deutsche English).😂

Depends on the person, their situation, and the language too tho. English is one of the easier languages

For shadowing prof. Margoles (?) suggests talking over the top of the text. It's hard at first but it forces you to get speed.
