What you said about guys with a life sentence, they got nothing to lose. It's absolutely true and its the reason prison is the kind of place it is. It's SUPPOSED to be rehabilitation but when someone has life without parole there is no rehabilitation. So tbh why, when we decide that someone's crimes mean they are not safe to ever be in society again why are we giving them a life at all? We are already talking about people capable of terrible things but once they have nothing to lose many push the limits of humanity to the greatest depths of depravity.
Prison is to punish , not habituate. BTW...rehabilitate is a lie. If a person was "rehabilitated" that would mean that person was a non criminal to begin with. If you can't do the time don't do the crime.
They get that life cause maybe the judge was sympathetic to that mans momma. Maybe she pleaded for her sons life. A life inside ain't much but it's still living. That means something to most cause they fear death. Personally, I'd just assume to be dead than do life, in death you are truly free.

Secondly, the punishment is retribution so that the victim or the victim's family cna feel avenged and maintain some faith in society or the government. Otherwise the government will be resented and opposed by the victim and their community. Thirdly, other people see the punishment and are deterred from copying the offender. So it sets an example. Fourthy, taking the perp out of the community protects the innocent from them. I agree, in terms of a true lifer there's no point in rehabilitation. The question then how best to serve those other purposes. I don't know the answer.
You gonna have a lot of problems if you go back to prison. You've been putting all these men's personal business out there for everyone to hear and made a grip of money of it as well. I can't imagine all of these dangerous individuals are going to be very pleased with you.

I was about to move out of it and something kept me watching. I have seen a few prison story channels before and while I've got nothing against them or the people who run them, they're mostly, "I'm so tough" or "It's so bad in there". Okay, fair enough but I'm not American and I've never been to prison so they have little relevance to me. That said, I do love an interesting story, especially when it's told by someone who can tell it well and you my friend, are a master of the craft. Just a thought here, I have known more than few "Radars" myself. Sometimes, them old timers who are doing football numbers or carrying an L, they been clicked in so long, they also drop a kite or two to the hooda. So...maybe that's why ole Radar didn't get transfered. You know how it goes. Life is funny inside. Anyway, don't know ya, but, it's always good to see someone out, and doin well.
