Hello Buffalo. Thanks for the good words and link.Since your shout out last year,my channel has been growing very steadily.Thank you again for that and congrats on 50K subs. This TX22 has been really growing in popularity since it came out.I know a few have had some problems with it but that does happen. The only 2 things I don't care for is the plastic mags and it is a little light for my taste.Other than that,a good plinker and target pistol.Take care.
You're welcome. I enjoyed your videos on the TX-22. I will do a shooting video with mine soon. I just wanted to mostly talk about it and share my thoughts in this video.
@@buffalosoutdoors I hate that your front sight came loose. Good choice on going with the no manual safety model. The caterpillar in the video was a nice touch!
If it comes loose again I'll throw some loctite on it. Not a big deal but I thought I should mention it. I got lucky that I noticed it before it fell off. That caterpillar came out of nowhere.... I thought it was funny but it wasn't intentional. He's a star now!
"I havent shot this pistol at any longer ranges...only 40y and in". I laughed when you said that. Us people that dont have your supernatural capabilities consider 25y to be long range with a handgun, 😅😎👍
One of the first things my dad taught me about firearms (after muzzle and trigger discipline) was to check to see if it was loaded immediately on picking it up. "And son, you darn well better treat it like it's loaded even if you know it's not!" I kinda figured you had that basic stuff down pat. No nervous Nellie here! Thanks, Buff, for another quality video.
Bought one today. Put over 100 rounds of federal automatch through it straight out of the box. Zero issue, amazing trigger, very accurate. I'm impressed!
Man I love your channel.I know what you mean about the large gun channels vs small ones.I believe you are a man with integrity.like somebody in my neck of the woods.wish I lived close enough to learn those distance shots.keep them coming please.
I can see this pistol serving several very good purposes including of course, plinking for the fun of plinking, small game hunting (think "kit gun"), and as a self defense handgun for those persons who are very sensitive to recoil and/or muzzle blast, OR for those who suffer some form of limited physical mobility, not to mention keeping ones handgun skills honed "on the cheap" so to speak. Excellent video as usual! Keep 'em comin'!
I've said this since the day the TX-22 came out: if they make this in 9mm and keep it close to the price of the 111/G2C I'll buy 3!!! What a freakin' SLEEK and sexy looking little banger!
I agree on this Rob.I know I saw a video from Brazil that showed one in 9mm but was in Spanish. Been looking for it again and cant find it. I just know they have one just with the rep Taurus gets they gonna see how well this gun does first, Atleast I hope so anyhow.
@@scottmorgan1016 Yeah. If you look it up, it's called Taurus TS9 and there's only 1 or 2 unboxing videos. Doesn't seem like it's been mass produced or if it has, it wasn't imported. Shame. :/

Great video, I love the straightforward talk and camera angles, great lighting. Also love the links you put in the description, so so great fro viewers when good content creators link to what they also enjoy. God bless!
Bought myself a TX22 for Christmas. Mine shoots to point of aim out of the box. Watched a lot of 22 Pistol videos before picking this one, thanks to all the great reviews, it was the only option if I wanted the best pistol at a great price.
That’s an envious shooting range. Great shooting. I believe the TX22 is going to force the other manufacturers to make 22’s in the same fashion. Such a fantastic pistol.
It's the exact same size as the glock 45 I have both. Just got a tx22 put around 500 rounds through it. Seems to be very reliable and accurate. Shot some low velocity American eagle suppressor ammunition and federal punch defense ammo all ran well.
I just picked up two of them a few weeks ago before Christmas both on sale for $259 each plus a additional $18 off with a Veteran discount. I already ordered the Tandemkross fully adjustable target fiber optic sights for one. The other one I ordered a Galloway Precision optic mounting plate for it. I got a super Christmas deal sale price on a Optics Planet OPMOD FDE Vortex Viper red dot. I am thinking about watching the sales in the future and getting a third Taurus TX22 to leave as is and stock. That would give me the best of all worlds and options. I'm not sure I would pay $350+ for one of these but as long as you can get one for under $299 it is a really good value and deal. Once you start creeping up to the $400ish range I think the Sig Sauer P-322 or Ruger SR22 would be the better choice.
I have already had to send mine in for service. Right out of the box it would not shoot 3 rounds in a row without malfunctioning. I wanted to like it so bad. I took Taurus about four months to get it back to me. They told me there were issues with some of the barrels. The problem is being fixed and an improved barrel is being put in them all soon. They put in a replacement barrel and promised to send one of the improved barrels to me when they are available. I have not taken it to the range yet since getting it back to see if it works now. Honestly, I am so disappointed with it, I just haven't been too excited to shoot it again. If Ruger would make one of their Mark series 22s with a 16 round magazine, I'd probably just throw this Taurus in the garbage.
WOW! Sorry to hear that. I want to thank you for posting your experience here though. People need to see and hear about the negatives as well as the positives. I hope mine does better than that, as I mentioned I only had about 500 rounds through it at the time of the video. If it does give me problems the world will know about it. I plan on posting an update video once I've had a couple thousand rounds through it....so we will see.
Very cool brother. I have had one in my sights for awhile. I rushed out and got the m&p 22 soon as it came out and paid way too much for it. I like this gun better cause its a true striker fire. The reason no one else is making higher capacity mags for other 22s is its actually kinda hard to make it work with straight mags and rimmed 22 ammo. But Taurus figured it out. Great vidja as always friend.
Thanks my friend! Hopefully the others will take notice at what Taurus has done with this. Most .22's seem to be looked at as some sort of an afterthought by many manufacturers. I say this as a M&P 22 lover too.
I bought 2 of these from Kentucky gun company for 229.00 each. Such a hot item was back ordered for a month. Finally shipped to my ffl dealer. Went down to pick up but have 5 more days left to walk out door with. New Washington state law have to wait 10 days. Even with concealed carry permit..
...damn good pistols...own "several"...great feel in the hand, beautiful trigger pull, easy to take down, amazingly LIGHT, very accurate, I love the contrasting color variants, for a time Taurus had a 50 dollar rebate...obtainable for about $ 260 out the door if you shop around...get a couple...you'll love them...highly recommended...

Nice clean slab sides similar to the S&W 422 or 622. The news media got everyone puckering up about extra safeties. An old fashion limon squeeze / grip is a proven safty. Technology made that even smaller now in the triggers. I'm sold on the Pistol for 2 reasons reliably and the capacity. Anxious for part 2, video Which ammo most accurate.

Good thing the free range chicken didn't see that caterpillar he would have had a snack
Glad to see your review of this pistol. I am considering buying one of these or a S&W M&P .22 Compact. And if YOU quit forcing me to buy BCA uppers...and that TheFireArmGuy, Dan, quits steering me into Star BM9 surplus pistols, I may actually buy one this year. I knew if anyone could shoot the thing right, it would be you. Thanks.
Thanks Gary! This TX-22 is in between the S&W M&P 22 and M&P 22 COMPACT in size. I may do a comparison video with all 3 of those pistols to show show some differences.

Ended up only pattern paying $169.99. The engineers really thought this one through, with all it's features. The trigger is second to none! The new GX4 Taurus micro 9mm also has excellent reviews. Looks very similar to this one. May have to pick one up!
I got the "safety" version, it was my first gun purchase and I'm late to the game but I put 100rds through it, no issues. I love it! A couple of days later I got a Sig p320xf, but I've yet to shoot that, next week though! That was some really good shooting too! Did you name the caterpillar? 😂
