Ramcat performs extremely well on the bleedout test on actual deer. Not to take away from the name of the one broadhead in your test but its really a bloodbath with the ramcat...just saying. Pass-through every time and accurate as field tips...ramcat for life. Nice video fellas
At 16:53 in the video, analyzing the Sevr penetration. It is obvious that the blades did not deploy because the blade lock screw was still in place preventing the blades from opening. Pretty good penetration for not having the blades deploy.
I'm a QAD Exodus fan I've been using them for 2 years and have killed 6 deer with them so far with really good blood trails and the majority of the time a short recovery. The broadhead is very tough and the blades are extremely sharp.
Sevr didn’t open on that ballistic gel the o ring was still on it. That’s been known and shown in other tests it needs hide or something over the gel for it to open the wing blades don’t grab on the gel.

Point to notice on pass through bleed out test. Fletchings stopped the arrow! If you look back. The arrows that traveled all the way through are fixed three blades!
Great video and lots of variety. I’m a ramcat guy with an only complaint so far of them being tough to fit into some quivers. Killed 2 with them last year with one pass threw into the dirt and the other spined on my own steep shot so no pass on that one. As we all know shot placement is the key!

I’ve taken literally multiple dozens of animals with those Zwickey heads back years ago. Traditional & compound. They were inexpensive and easy to sharpen. It’s about shot placement folks. Not about pretty and shiny although those Slick Trick became my go to for years. I still use them on turkeys because I nearly always get a complete pass through hit. Same results on deer. The best deal AND head out there,IMO, is the Magnus hornets with bleeders. These are guaranteed for life if you damage one and aren’t expensive like those greatly touted marketed single bevel heads that are ridiculously expensive with no guarantee. With the Hornet heads I’ve had 100% pass through rate on many many deer and some pigs to about 175#’s. Black Eagle Carnivore finished arrow weight at 456. 28” at 60#’s.
In order to get accurate results you need to shoot the same bow, same arrow, same fletching on every shot. Then you whittle down the results to just your broadhead.
I like the smaller TOTA broadhead it shot exactly like my field point I had the ozcut and kudu and both of those were not even close to field points also the penetration on my foam target was way deeper with the TOTA broadhead and the sharpener was 30$ and it’s easy to use it’s like the exudus but build stronger
The vap arrow out penetrates all the arrows i ever used. The ice coating and the .166 really makes a difference. If you put the 95gr steel outsert it will pass thru elk even using mechanicals.
@@zander_outdoors5349 oh yeah thats what Im using this season. Great shafts about the same price as the vap tko. I’d say slightly better tolerances that the victory. I’d recommend the steel or titanium insert instead of the aluminum ones.
fun video thx I would say yalls draw length looks a little long both of you are leaning back at full draw. not standing up straight. I use iron will heads but that true blue looks cool to be able to stick an iron will out front and then have that 2 inch cut behind it...God Bless
using annihilator xl 125s and last year the deer i killed looked like it was shot with a gun. i did as real world review video on my youtube channel from entry to exit including heart and lung damage. Shot a deer quartering toward on purpose to shoot through shoulder and man they messed that deer up!

Not that I am a slick trick fan boy but you did not mention them to much. The qad would be my choice hands down. Not a mechanical fan at all. Every test I see really exposes how crappy the rage broadheads really are.
True Blue Cross Breed was best overall and best overall for mechanical. Bloodbath and Rage Extreme tied for 2nd in mechanical/hyb. QAD Exodus placed second overall and number one for fixed blades. Ramcat Hydroshock placed second for fixed blades.
They weren't the most durable. Wound channel was decent. Middle of pack performer. If they fly straight at long distance they would be alright. I just shot the Bloodbaths for the first time. My first kills with a hybrid. I always shot fixed. Dropped a monster and and shot a harvest deer in the same night. Nicked a twig on one and hit back on the monster and still passed through and put him down just over 100 yards. Crazy blood trail for hitting back on the deer. The super wide cutting diameter helped me hit and arterie. Joe
Because of your channel last year was my first year hunting and first harvest. I chose to go with the bloodbath broadhead. My doe dropped in 15yrds and expired in seconds and blood everywhere. I was so impressed because I was in an urban environment and immediately after the shot some kids on their bikes were screeching their breaks on a bike path 30 yards away and she didn’t budge. So thank you! However the bloodbaths didn’t seem sharp. I was curious of trying the grim reaper hybrid this next season. Would you all be able to compare the two or include it in your next test?

looking over the video again, the QAD has a replaceable tip and blades, in my mind making it the best design if you want to keep shooting, also did fairly well in the other tests. This is showing that a trocar tip is a far superior penetrator than a Cut-On-Contact of any make, model, or type. Strong work.

Shooting it threw thick clay shows spin an wound channel better then shooting metal, wood, cardboard

I'm shooting the QAD. I love fixed blades and the broadhead flies great, is durable, and did excellent in penitration test.
