I made pockets connected to each other from heavy duty paper adverisements with a shiny and smooth patina . The color is mostly red and it advertises supermarket items of which I want to cover. What is the thinnist medium that would cover the print but not be too bulky to allow the pockets to be folded in on themselves as they can do now? Water proof cover would be better.

Hi Susan - I apologize but I might not be the best person to ask. There are so many products and I haven't used a lot of them. I have used DIY gesso which I liked and one benefit is you can add more paint it you want to cover up something on the paper but it does make the pages stiffer. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Thanks for watching.
