Why can’t cardo work with helmet manufacturers to have a cleaner install and build into the helmet? Cardo is superior to Sena but its getting harder to find a helmet that does not have a built in option that uses Sena.
@Yii00T my hjc rpha 70st isn't "made for" the cardo, but it words perfectly with the clip, and the velcro for the speakers is already in place, not to say it wouldn't work with a sena either, but why sena? I have the edge btw which I belive is the same mounts. I do remember seeing some helmets made for the cardo. But I would honestly never get a helmet that is made for a com system as I'd feel limited.
At the 34 minute mark is the explanation of how to connect Edge to a Bluetooth device like the Freecom and a non-Cardo unit. The explanation then shows you how to intercom with each rider separately. Can you have an intercom with all three at the same time? The video doesn’t show that. Thanks.
is there a reason my two pack will not find each other when searching for group? one says searching for group over and over and the other says pairing failed? tried setting up a group in the app and still get no audio between them. a bit stumped. am I messing up or do I have a defect?
I try to ask here because I can't find this information anywhere (tutorial / cardo site / internet): can the cardo edge start a conference with the 2 Bluetooth channels "simultaneously" like the freecom 4x does or it can only make a conference in dmc only?? (the packtalk edge user manual suggests that it can be done but it is not clear at all. in this tutorial I can see the call to the Bluetooth channels one at a time (unlike what I see in the freecom 4x tutorial) thank you very much
I’m curious. I’ve got both the packtalk bold and edge and on both units, to turn them on, you don’t actually need to press/hold the two buttons to turn them on. You can turn them on just by holding down the media button. Also, to turn both units off, you do need to press the media and phone buttons together but you don’t need to hold them down. Just pressing them together does the trick. So why tell people to do it the way that is in the instructions/tutorials?
Hi, We are guiding our customers to use both buttons to keep a line of one combination for shutting down and turning on. The option to turn on the units by the media button was an Easter egg, and we kept it. You can turn on the unit by both options. Thank you, Cardo Team.
So if I’m trying to connect 3 devices with Bluetooth connection (using A and B) as shown towards the end of the video, can I merge the A and B so all 3 riders can talk together or is it only 1 on 1. My buddy has a free com and the other has a Sena and we all want to talk together
A very good tutorial. One question that I have is will the Edge communication with 2 non Cardo units at the same time? For example will it communication with 2 sena SF 4 units at the same time? Thanks Cheers.
According to chapter 5 Mobile Phones, GPS, and Bike Pairings I can pair 2 phones, gps and my bike to ma cardo edge at the same time? So my Cardo edge should be like a "HQ" for all other devices? I'm asking because I struggling a little bit to connect my KTM TFT, Samsung Galaxy S22, Cardo Edge and Garmin Zumo XT. I'm not able to connect them all togheter. While aswering the call from my handlebar is important I connected phone and cardo to my KTM. I had to give up connecting my Zumo XT at all. If it is possible could You write a sequence of pairing all devices togheter ?
The PackTalk Edge is amazing. It does connect quickly. It does connect seamlessly. It does work absolutely as advertised. I liked my Freecom 4x, but oh man what a difference.
Great tutorial, learned some new stuff. Been using Cardo devices for many years, recently upgraded my Packtalk to the Packtalk Edge. I'm a bit struggling with the volume settings though, especially the Automatic Volume feature where it should adjust volume based on surrounding noise. My old Packtalk did this perfectly, the new Edge seems to struggle with this, I often find myself fiddling with the volume wheel to be able to hear people in the group or turn the music up. I'd be all ears for a walkthrough of the 'audio settings' in the app to dial those in perfectly.
Followed instructions to the letter. Updatwd software to the current version. Microphone does not work. Switched Microphones and still not working. Reset the device, still not working. CUSTOMER SUPPORT SUX. SLOWER THAN THE CONTINENTAL DRIFT. Bluetooth settings says connected for calls and audio...I GUES IM SENDING THIS POS BACK AND GOING TO BUY A SENA! I was told to avoid a Cardio but no, I wouldn't listen. Well at least I won't repeat this mistake...
You're not the only one, cardo's support is atrocious. I had to force a refund on my first defective unit because I couldn't get jackshit in terms of support from Cardo despite reaching out in 3 different places to them. And then I bought another one, which suffers from even more issues. My riding buddy and I have had nothing but problems with Cardo's units. Sena is the way!
I agree that this was one of the best, if not the best, tutorials on this amazing product. Cardo has certainly developed what every rider and rider group needs...dependability, quick set-up, ease of use, weather proofing, and multiple connectivity options. Add to that the 3-year warranty plus Cardo support and the Packtalk Edge has set the bar.....and set it very high.
Brilliant tutorial- thank you. I've just invested in the this system for off road group ride. Really love the voice functionality. Only made a test call on it so far and the sound quality is superb.
Any tips for removing the cradle from the adhesive plate? I have it on there, but would like to remove it, leaving the adhesive plate on the helmet. I can't seem to get it to come off. Any recommendations?
when using the voice commands , if you say for instance "Hey cardo, mute intercom", will the other people in the chat also hear that command or does it mute it somehow ?
I just bought this unit. Is there a way to just drive with the open mesh network and talk with other fellow bikers on the road while traveling on the roads similar to an open CB radio? Or would you have to connect to those riders as a mesh network say in a group ride only situation? In other words can you just have an open channel so to speak?
Hey folks - I’ve been using bold for several years and used many of them and earlier this year got the edge. It’s great - sound quality etc. The problem I’m having is really bad network connectivity with my buddy who has the bold. We ride regularly and we’ve never had connectivity issues when both of us were on bold- since changing over to edge - while we are connected - the connection breaks way too often - even there is slightest of traffic or lack of line of sight the connection drops which was never the case with bold. I’ve tried swapping with bold and things are back to normal … so I do believe it’s something I’m not doing right … any tips or advise on how to fix it?
I recently bought a sena due to pressure from a salesman and I absolutely hated it. 12 sena apps. 1990's software for updates and still a POS. Very quiet, complicated as all hell, sounded horrible. I bought a Cardo Edge and have absolutely nothing negative to say. Amazing sound and volume. Easy to use. Links instantly. So glad I went with Cardo
I've one sf4 and an sf2, horrendous after sales,.one stopped working on right speaker. There are firmware upsldate for my model, but they say that i ca not not update them and inhave to go to dealer and reclaim warranty. Never ever a sena again in my life, trash

I do have a question, I'm buying a Zumo XT2 GPS, if I pair my iPhone on the Phone and then the GPS on the second Channel as a GPS, if I'm listening to music on the phone, will I still get the GPS voice prompt? Love Cardo, but: (a) Why can the Edge Admin 'still' not delete riders from 'their' own group? They can only delete the entire group (madness!), or ask a rider (who often isn't present/has permanently left the group) to leave the group - it means a ride leader often has to create new groups and have everyone pair to them over-and-over again - its a constant problem for a ride captain like myself - add, 'edit', delete is nothing 'new'! (b) Why have you made it so that the Edge owners cannot join a Bold Admin-created group? Only the other way around? I get it with a Bluetooth-only device, but both the Edge/Bold are Mesh, and the technical details on the improvements made between those two units are very vague. (c) I've heard that the Edge will only run the same (not improved) version of Mesh, if Bold's are paired to it. Is that the case? Thanks - if you respond!
Just ran into this problem yesterday. One of our group got an edge. The rest of us have the bold. I am the group leader. I cleared out my Bold and started paring up everyone again. All the Bolds paired, but the Edge would NOT. It just said "plus one". You have created a problem that didn't exist before. What a pain. Why can't You think simple instead of creating more problems.
@@CardoSystemsGlobal Is the comment above correct in which an Edge owner cannot join a Bold Admin group? If so, that is a huge oversight and should prevent countless owners from upgrading. If it is not true, is the procedure to connect the Edge to a Bold Admin different?

Why can’t edge be connected to another group where bold is admin?When we ride and we want a rider with edge to be added we aren’t able to do that.We have to start a new group with edge as the admin.It’s really frustrating.Is there a fix to do that?We all are in DMC mode but can’t add edge unless edge becomes admin and he adds everyone else .

@@MrMindlink I just tried with the latest v2.7 firmware for Edge and it worked perfectly. Edge can now join a group of Bold without requiring the Edge to be the Admin. Stoked.
It's almost perfect until it does not connect to an packtalk bold admin. The edge must be the admin. So if our buddy who has an edge comes in late, we redo the connections to make him an admin just so he can join which is really inconvenient
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. Watched this to get prepared to receive my cardo edge duo pack I ordered. I am now realizing that a crazy person decided the functionality of the buttons and jog wheel of this thing. Obvious strange decisions such as a single press of the front button starts music, another single press skips forward, 2 clicks for back and then pressing inward on the job wheel pauses music. Why not jog-forward/back for song skip and center press for play/pause? Answering a call is a single press of the bottom button but ignoring a call is a specific direction backwards on the jog wheel? Why not make it a press-hold of the call button or double-press of the same button? The function controls are spread all over the place of the function keys and becomes crazy. I am sure this can all be figured out over time but it doesn't seem that much sense was put into it. Besides that, what else would make things far more understandable is having short and quick voice guidance for every option. Simple adding "call share enabled/disabled" and all other mode changes and functions would be a nice function to enable.

We are getting ready to go out and are going to need to connect 2 4X units with to 2 EDGE’S. I seen how you do that with 1 but how will that be done with 2 4X’s as the Edge you did it with has now used up the one option? I also understood you to say that with 1 4X and 2 Edge’s you don’t have to take your Edge’s to Bluetooth mode, do you have to with 2 of each unit? Thank you in advance for any assistance!
Great video, but I am still confused over the Bluetooth intercom. Based on this video you can either talk to your A channel OR you B channel, but not both. Is that correct? So you can't have 3 people all talking together? The manual indicates you can pair to rider A and rider B, then one of those can pair with a 4th rider for a total of 4 riders talking. But this video seems to indicate you can only pair with 2 others and talk to only one of those at a time.
I have a Freecom 4, and one of the things that bugs me is that every time the GPS "talks" - it cuts out the intercom for a couple of seconds. Since DMC isn't bluetooth, will the intercom stay active even when there is bluetooth audio coming in? Phone call sharing seems to indicate that this is possible, but it would be really handy if everyone could hear the GPS directions as well (and I could still hear my buddies while the Garmin prattles on and on and on.....)
Is the Insyde system for the AGV Tourmodular based on the Packtalk Slim or the Packtalk Edge? There are details (DMC or DMC2, microUSB or USB-C, how waterproof is the charging jack, does it have the highest quality speakers) that are hard to find.
I have a new Packtalk edge and have programmed some local FM stations into it, but don't always ride within range of my local FM stations. Other than doing the scan with the unit's buttons, can I scan by voice command? I saw no reference to that in the video. Thanks!
Amazing tutorial! I bought the cardo pecktalk edge for my roadtrip in Scotland with 2 friends. We all had the packtalk edge and we loved every bit of it! After every break you just put the cardo on and you are immediatelyin the group, ready to ride! Although I still have some problems now connecting a new group. I was hoping to find the answer in this video, but I haven't. So after you made your first group (wich was very easy to setup), how can you connect with other groups? So beside my 2 "Scotland group" friends, I have some more groups of friends I ride with. But I had a lot of problems making another group with them. Can you tell me how I can easily make another (if not more) groups and easy switch between them depending on the group of friends I'm riding with?
I purchased the freecom2 duel set......received today. installed in helmet- mic wire broke, very easier I might add too, ordered another, just the part with the wires. The app,, Pain in the F'ing ass! One of my emails said I needed to register my cardo for the warranty. I searched cardo website, I searched the internet. Could NOT find anything on this subject. There is no phone on cardo website OR any contact information. WHERE IN HELL AM I TO REGISTER WHEN CARDO IS HIDING THE REGISTRATION PAGE(S) !!! WHY WOULD CARDO HIDE THIS FROM ITS CUSTOMERS?????????? Big question for you Cardo. I’m looking at your PTEdge and wondering if a Bluetooth Two way radio will hook up to one of those A & B channels. Want to use off-road sxsing. A lot of time we are not in the “line of site” for the designated Bluetooth group comms operation. This would be a big plus. There are some two way radios which will connect to your smartphone also. Will PT edge be able to talk on radio via smartphone connection? Trying to look at all options. I really like your product and if we can communicate through a two way radio also it would be fantastic.
Please please add the capability to dictate text (i.e. Google Voice Typing). Sena had this and I'm shocked Cardo doesn't (support confirmed it's not available). Would be so nice to dictate a quick text reply at a stoplight.
Hi, just bought my first PT edge last week and this tutorial was very helpful for the install, thanks. I have a question re music - you explain well how to skip tracks, adjust vol. etc - all good…. But what about selecting the music to play in the first place? I see in the app how to link to my Spotify and I’ve done that….but i cant see how I can navigate my Spotify library using Cardo app. Is this not possible? If not does that mean I just have to select a very long playlist in Spotify before I start ride and I am stuck with that playlist until I stop? Thanks

I have Cardo Packtalk Edge Duo. On one of them sound regularly keep falling out, especially if I am connected to another user. For example I am listening to music and every 30 seconds sound will stop for a second and after that keep continue playing. The other Cardo is ok and has not this problem. Anybody else experiencing same problem?
I have just bought the edge duo . My question is rather than use them for rider pillion if I was to put 1 on each of my 2 helmets will I get the same performance from each 1 ie join a group and have same distance as the main rider . And is there a main rider or are both exactly the same tia
My "hey cardo" and "hey Siri" doesn't work at all with my voice. Provided my helmet is new and the cheek pads are still adjusting to my face contour (I'm biting my inside of my cheeks when I talk). But was watching a video where the blogger said "hey Siri" and it immediately activated.
I brought my Cardo Pactalk Edge yesterday and cannot get it to link with the App. I have a fully updated IPhone 15 Max. I have updated the unit by plugging it into my computer, but still no joy. What do you suggest?

In my experience, the seamless DMC connection does not occur. Devices are always 'stuck in searching for group'. If not using the phone to initiate the group it does not work. Even then it does not always work. Highkey hate how much functionality it has with only three buttons to control everything. If you're riding how in the world are you supposed to hold two or three buttons at the same time to change settings? The app should have a way to disable features to make ux more seamless.
It took me a while to figure it out, but you only get one Speed Dial not the entire list of 4 names. The others are for favorites. Still not sure why you list favorites if all you normally would do is Ask Siri to call someone in your Iphones contact list. Nor do I know how to call anyone of those listed favorites.
I just bought 2 weeks ago, a 509 commander mach v helmet. It came with the cardo. The music sounds horrible. I did the latest update as well but nothing changed. It has no mid or bass. Any suggestions?
How come it is so fast to group here....I've had trouble trying to group 3 units, it searches and fails to group ad though it cannot find each other. Only after several attempts and times will I be able to get it done...never as easy as this...sigh...
I have an edge and bold that I want to connect for passenger riding. The goal is to listen to music from one source and communicate with each other. They are both paired using the same phone but when I power on the second device, the first device disconnects. What am I doing wrong and how can I correct it? What's the difference between this and a dual pack?
I like this alot. I have 2 helmets and one if them already has a bluetooth headset but its nothing like this. 1. My current one is a cheap AHR branded bluetooth headset and though the audio does sound good, it doesnt have voice assist and it claims it has An FM Transmitter for music but i could never get it to work lol. I may actually pick this up.
When your around other groups using Cardos and when joining the group, how do you make sure your joining the right group and no one else joins your group?
2 other of my friends uses packtalk edge and we have 7 other friends that uses either freecom x4 or spirit hd. Can i connect all of them on my edge and still able to talk to each other simultaneously?
I spent a ton on my 2x. It's basically a piece of garbage when riding with others.. and there is no reason Cardo couldn't just do an app or software update.
Mine wont register my ownership, error sending, no reason given, tried on 2 devices. Went to Cardo, tried to email support, error there too. I havent installed this thing but im about to send it right back.
What I want to know is how do I turn the volume down of the music without turning the volume down of the intercom at the same time. My wife rides with me and we both have our cellphones connected to our units and we are linked via DMC. But some times when I we ride we want the music lower so we can have a normal conversation. But when we turn the volume down it turns both down.
Ok soo the voice feature should've been here from the beginning all thid button pressing as if i wont be doing this stuff whilst riding. Like most things on this require two hands how does this make sense. Only way is if they assume youll be doing this whilst stopped. I'd buy this model for the voice feature as i dont intend to be pressing all these Button's whilst riding

what is the difference between the cardo packtalk edge off-road version (Cardo PT200050) and the standard cardo packtalk edge (CARDO PT200001) ?

I just got the edge and so far I’m loving it. Down side is that there are so many features that it will take me a while to learn how to use them.

Been using Cardo devices for many years, recently upgraded my Packtalk to the Packtalk Edge. I'm a bit struggling with the volume settings though, especially the Automatic Volume feature where it should adjust volume based on surrounding noise. My old Packtalk did this perfectly, the new Edge seems to struggle with this, I often find myself fiddling with the volume wheel to be able to hear people in the group or turn the music up. I'd be all ears for a walkthrough of the 'audio settings' in the app to dial those in perfectly.
Question about your Cardo system. Does the in helmet setup provide much noise cancelling? My utv is loud and I want to eliminate much of that noise.

Followed instructions to the letter. Updatwd software to the current version. Microphone does not work. Switched Microphones and still not working. Reset the device, still not working. CUSTOMER SUPPORT SUX. SLOWER THAN THE CONTINENTAL DRIFT. Bluetooth settings says connected for calls and audio...I GUES IM SENDING THIS POS BACK AND GOING TO BUY A SENA! I was told to avoid a Cardio but no, I wouldn't listen. Well at least I won't repeat this mistake...
You're not the only one, cardo's support is atrocious. I had to force a refund on my first defective unit because I couldn't get jackshit in terms of support from Cardo despite reaching out in 3 different places to them. And then I bought another one, which suffers from even more issues. My riding buddy and I have had nothing but problems with Cardo's units. Sena is the way!
How do you get your Cardo fixed? You do not answer your emails and you hide your phone numbers?
I agree that this was one of the best, if not the best, tutorials on this amazing product. Cardo has certainly developed what every rider and rider group needs...dependability, quick set-up, ease of use, weather proofing, and multiple connectivity options. Add to that the 3-year warranty plus Cardo support and the Packtalk Edge has set the bar.....and set it very high.

Any tips for removing the cradle from the adhesive plate? I have it on there, but would like to remove it, leaving the adhesive plate on the helmet. I can't seem to get it to come off. Any recommendations?
when using the voice commands , if you say for instance "Hey cardo, mute intercom", will the other people in the chat also hear that command or does it mute it somehow ?

I just bought this unit. Is there a way to just drive with the open mesh network and talk with other fellow bikers on the road while traveling on the roads similar to an open CB radio? Or would you have to connect to those riders as a mesh network say in a group ride only situation? In other words can you just have an open channel so to speak?

Hey folks - I’ve been using bold for several years and used many of them and earlier this year got the edge. It’s great - sound quality etc. The problem I’m having is really bad network connectivity with my buddy who has the bold. We ride regularly and we’ve never had connectivity issues when both of us were on bold- since changing over to edge - while we are connected - the connection breaks way too often - even there is slightest of traffic or lack of line of sight the connection drops which was never the case with bold. I’ve tried swapping with bold and things are back to normal … so I do believe it’s something I’m not doing right … any tips or advise on how to fix it?
I recently bought a sena due to pressure from a salesman and I absolutely hated it. 12 sena apps. 1990's software for updates and still a POS. Very quiet, complicated as all hell, sounded horrible. I bought a Cardo Edge and have absolutely nothing negative to say. Amazing sound and volume. Easy to use. Links instantly. So glad I went with Cardo
I've one sf4 and an sf2, horrendous after sales,.one stopped working on right speaker. There are firmware upsldate for my model, but they say that i ca not not update them and inhave to go to dealer and reclaim warranty. Never ever a sena again in my life, trash

Fantastic video, very clear and easy to follow! I do have a question, I'm buying a Zumo XT2 GPS, if I pair my iPhone on the Phone and then the GPS on the second Channel as a GPS, if I'm listening to music on the phone, will I still get the GPS voice prompt?
And also, will the Siri command work the same?

Love Cardo, but: (a) Why can the Edge Admin 'still' not delete riders from 'their' own group? They can only delete the entire group (madness!), or ask a rider (who often isn't present/has permanently left the group) to leave the group - it means a ride leader often has to create new groups and have everyone pair to them over-and-over again - its a constant problem for a ride captain like myself - add, 'edit', delete is nothing 'new'! (b) Why have you made it so that the Edge owners cannot join a Bold Admin-created group? Only the other way around? I get it with a Bluetooth-only device, but both the Edge/Bold are Mesh, and the technical details on the improvements made between those two units are very vague. (c) I've heard that the Edge will only run the same (not improved) version of Mesh, if Bold's are paired to it. Is that the case? Thanks - if you respond!

Just ran into this problem yesterday. One of our group got an edge. The rest of us have the bold. I am the group leader. I cleared out my Bold and started paring up everyone again. All the Bolds paired, but the Edge would NOT. It just said "plus one". You have created a problem that didn't exist before. What a pain. Why can't You think simple instead of creating more problems.
@@CardoSystemsGlobal Is the comment above correct in which an Edge owner cannot join a Bold Admin group? If so, that is a huge oversight and should prevent countless owners from upgrading. If it is not true, is the procedure to connect the Edge to a Bold Admin different?

Why can’t edge be connected to another group where bold is admin?When we ride and we want a rider with edge to be added we aren’t able to do that.We have to start a new group with edge as the admin.It’s really frustrating.Is there a fix to do that?We all are in DMC mode but can’t add edge unless edge becomes admin and he adds everyone else .

The Packtalk EDGE will need to be the group’s admin by design.

@@MrMindlink I just tried with the latest v2.7 firmware for Edge and it worked perfectly. Edge can now join a group of Bold without requiring the Edge to be the Admin. Stoked.

It's almost perfect until it does not connect to an packtalk bold admin. The edge must be the admin. So if our buddy who has an edge comes in late, we redo the connections to make him an admin just so he can join which is really inconvenient
They created more problems ! They think of all the foo foo stuff it will do, but forget the whole purpose of an INTERCOM.
This is now changed in v2.7 firmware, Edge can now join an existing group of Bolds and doesn't need to be the admin anymore 👍
Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. Watched this to get prepared to receive my cardo edge duo pack I ordered. I am now realizing that a crazy person decided the functionality of the buttons and jog wheel of this thing. Obvious strange decisions such as a single press of the front button starts music, another single press skips forward, 2 clicks for back and then pressing inward on the job wheel pauses music. Why not jog-forward/back for song skip and center press for play/pause? Answering a call is a single press of the bottom button but ignoring a call is a specific direction backwards on the jog wheel? Why not make it a press-hold of the call button or double-press of the same button? The function controls are spread all over the place of the function keys and becomes crazy. I am sure this can all be figured out over time but it doesn't seem that much sense was put into it.
Besides that, what else would make things far more understandable is having short and quick voice guidance for every option. Simple adding "call share enabled/disabled" and all other mode changes and functions would be a nice function to enable.

I have 1 question. We are getting ready to go out and are going to need to connect 2 4X units with to 2 EDGE’S.
I seen how you do that with 1 but how will that be done with 2 4X’s as the Edge you did it with has now used up the one option?
I also understood you to say that with 1 4X and 2 Edge’s you don’t have to take your Edge’s to Bluetooth mode, do you have to with 2 of each unit? Thank you in advance for any assistance!

Great video, but I am still confused over the Bluetooth intercom. Based on this video you can either talk to your A channel OR you B channel, but not both. Is that correct? So you can't have 3 people all talking together? The manual indicates you can pair to rider A and rider B, then one of those can pair with a 4th rider for a total of 4 riders talking. But this video seems to indicate you can only pair with 2 others and talk to only one of those at a time.
What is the difference of “bike pairing”? I have S1000xr with the new TFT and i paired it as “GPS”
I have a Freecom 4, and one of the things that bugs me is that every time the GPS "talks" - it cuts out the intercom for a couple of seconds. Since DMC isn't bluetooth, will the intercom stay active even when there is bluetooth audio coming in? Phone call sharing seems to indicate that this is possible, but it would be really handy if everyone could hear the GPS directions as well (and I could still hear my buddies while the Garmin prattles on and on and on.....)
Is the Insyde system for the AGV Tourmodular based on the Packtalk Slim or the Packtalk Edge?
There are details (DMC or DMC2, microUSB or USB-C, how waterproof is the charging jack, does it have the highest quality speakers) that are hard to find.
I have a new Packtalk edge and have programmed some local FM stations into it, but don't always ride within range of my local FM stations. Other than doing the scan with the unit's buttons, can I scan by voice command? I saw no reference to that in the video. Thanks!

Amazing tutorial! I bought the cardo pecktalk edge for my roadtrip in Scotland with 2 friends. We all had the packtalk edge and we loved every bit of it! After every break you just put the cardo on and you are immediatelyin the group, ready to ride!
Although I still have some problems now connecting a new group. I was hoping to find the answer in this video, but I haven't. So after you made your first group (wich was very easy to setup), how can you connect with other groups? So beside my 2 "Scotland group" friends, I have some more groups of friends I ride with. But I had a lot of problems making another group with them. Can you tell me how I can easily make another (if not more) groups and easy switch between them depending on the group of friends I'm riding with?

Big question for you Cardo. I’m looking at your PTEdge and wondering if a Bluetooth Two way radio will hook up to one of those A & B channels. Want to use off-road sxsing. A lot of time we are not in the “line of site” for the designated Bluetooth group comms operation. This would be a big plus. There are some two way radios which will connect to your smartphone also. Will PT edge be able to talk on radio via smartphone connection? Trying to look at all options. I really like your product and if we can communicate through a two way radio also it would be fantastic.
Please please add the capability to dictate text (i.e. Google Voice Typing). Sena had this and I'm shocked Cardo doesn't (support confirmed it's not available). Would be so nice to dictate a quick text reply at a stoplight.
Hi, just bought my first PT edge last week and this tutorial was very helpful for the install, thanks. I have a question re music - you explain well how to skip tracks, adjust vol. etc - all good…. But what about selecting the music to play in the first place? I see in the app how to link to my Spotify and I’ve done that….but i cant see how I can navigate my Spotify library using Cardo app. Is this not possible? If not does that mean I just have to select a very long playlist in Spotify before I start ride and I am stuck with that playlist until I stop? Thanks

I have Cardo Packtalk Edge Duo. On one of them sound regularly keep falling out, especially if I am connected to another user. For example I am listening to music and every 30 seconds sound will stop for a second and after that keep continue playing. The other Cardo is ok and has not this problem. Anybody else experiencing same problem?
I have just bought the edge duo . My question is rather than use them for rider pillion if I was to put 1 on each of my 2 helmets will I get the same performance from each 1 ie join a group and have same distance as the main rider . And is there a main rider or are both exactly the same tia
My "hey cardo" and "hey Siri" doesn't work at all with my voice. Provided my helmet is new and the cheek pads are still adjusting to my face contour (I'm biting my inside of my cheeks when I talk). But was watching a video where the blogger said "hey Siri" and it immediately activated.

My stock motorcycle V4 Panigale's engine muffles the speakers during the ride. Is there a work around or noise canceling muffs that would help?

My friend and I aren't interested in sharing music, but are we able to play our own choices of music independently WHILE in a DMC call?
In my experience, the seamless DMC connection does not occur. Devices are always 'stuck in searching for group'. If not using the phone to initiate the group it does not work. Even then it does not always work. Highkey hate how much functionality it has with only three buttons to control everything. If you're riding how in the world are you supposed to hold two or three buttons at the same time to change settings? The app should have a way to disable features to make ux more seamless.
It took me a while to figure it out, but you only get one Speed Dial not the entire list of 4 names. The others are for favorites. Still not sure why you list favorites if all you normally would do is Ask Siri to call someone in your Iphones contact list. Nor do I know how to call anyone of those listed favorites.
I just bought 2 weeks ago, a 509 commander mach v helmet. It came with the cardo. The music sounds horrible. I did the latest update as well but nothing changed. It has no mid or bass. Any suggestions?

How come it is so fast to group here....I've had trouble trying to group 3 units, it searches and fails to group ad though it cannot find each other. Only after several attempts and times will I be able to get it done...never as easy as this...sigh...
I have an edge and bold that I want to connect for passenger riding. The goal is to listen to music from one source and communicate with each other. They are both paired using the same phone but when I power on the second device, the first device disconnects. What am I doing wrong and how can I correct it? What's the difference between this and a dual pack?
I like this alot. I have 2 helmets and one if them already has a bluetooth headset but its nothing like this. 1. My current one is a cheap AHR branded bluetooth headset and though the audio does sound good, it doesnt have voice assist and it claims it has An FM Transmitter for music but i could never get it to work lol. I may actually pick this up.

Wait, is the built in media app the only way to listen to music? You can't use Spotify or UA-cam music???
What I want to know is how do I turn the volume down of the music without turning the volume down of the intercom at the same time. My wife rides with me and we both have our cellphones connected to our units and we are linked via DMC. But some times when I we ride we want the music lower so we can have a normal conversation. But when we turn the volume down it turns both down.

Ok soo the voice feature should've been here from the beginning all thid button pressing as if i wont be doing this stuff whilst riding. Like most things on this require two hands how does this make sense.
