One advantage is that it will allow integrated assembly into new ECE 22.06 motorcycle helmets. It will also allow riders to freely choose communication devices without compromising the helmet fit and appearance.

The whole Mesh Bluetooth thing is a pain in the behind. 30 riders in one group would be nigh on impossible to create and manage unless you use data and a zoom conference. You can connect Packtalk Bluetooth to almost any other Bluetooth unit. Sena is the stubborn one. We have a group of 6 with 5 PackTalk units, two of them are on pillions which is a waste, but they bought pairs. I have a Bluetooth on my pillion helmet is fine. Each device has a certain number of Bluetooth intercom channels. these are point to point. so if the device has 2 Bluetooth intercom channels, you can only connect to 2 other riders. If the device has DMC or Mesh, it can talk to up to 15 riders on that one connection.
Do you find a major sound quality difference between Spirit HD and the top tiers? And if so, does this change with the JBL 45mm speaker upgrade? (I‘m mainly interested in music, not intercom)
Also I’m in the same dilemma, a colleague of mine bought the Edge and the JBL speakers sounded flat and tinny, fitted to a Shoei GT Air 3, a disappointment given that JBL speakers in my cars and Bluetooth portable systems sound really great. And because my soon to be delivered Africa Twin mandates an intercom I need to buy something just for music and to gain access to all the features that she has on offer.

Is the Spirit waterproof?
Yes
So, only the packtalk generation can connect to two bluetooth devices? For example one mobilephone and your motorcycle tft (like honda roadsync)?
The Freecom has the ability to connect to 2 devices also.
My Spirit HD connects to Phone and Garmin GPS unit at the same time, however i am not shure, can it connect to other rider in this scenario.
Spirit can connect to 2 devices and 2 Bluetooth intercoms at the same time.
Correction Spirit can connect only to 1 intercom and 2 bluetooth devices.
Really usefull. Thank you
Bless you my good sir !
I love the edge, Harley finally partnered with Cardo. Hands down best Bluetooth com over-all.
Couldn't give half a rip for Harley lmao but I'm sick of Sena's garbage so I need to look at these
@@Hawk7886 the Cardo packtalk Edge is fucking awesome, that's all I have to say.
@@hutch2405 my buddy has a Cardo and while we were able to get my Sena to work it was a pain and I'm tired of their garbage. Can't wait to switch lol
@@hutch2405 lol youtube deleted my comment. My buddy has a Cardo and after struggling to pair my Sena to his device (successfully, but annoyingly), I'm looking to switch.
thanks !
Can someone explain to me what is meant by “you can only connect to X amount of people”?
Does that mean these don’t work with normal group phone calls?
Each device has a certain number of Bluetooth intercom channels. these are point to point. so if the device has 2 Bluetooth intercom channels, you can only connect to 2 other riders.
If the device has DMC or Mesh, it can talk to up to 15 riders on that one connection.
Interesting!
Amazing video just what i needed 🎉
Glad I could help
Do you find a major sound quality difference between Spirit HD and the top tiers? And if so, does this change with the JBL 45mm speaker upgrade? (I‘m mainly interested in music, not intercom)
If it’s just for music the. Buy the spirit HD.
I didn’t notice a massive difference
@@MotoNZ Thank you!
Thank you so much! Great video!
With the dmc and Bluetooth connection does that mean it doesn’t matter if other rides have cardo, senna , inset alternative brand here, it will still work as long as theirs operated on dmc/bluetooth as well?
Ide like to know this
Only Cardo can connect to Cardo via DMC. But you can connect to any other brand via Bluetooth
Thanks so much once again! Bloody legend! :D
