Honestly the baby scene was absolutely adorable. I kept saying wow that baby must have felt so comfortable around him to go to sleep like that and to be able to film them that way! Such a great scene of them together ❤

The sylvie/dexter romantic relationship turned into a huge red flag early on because the way dex spoke about it, sylvie dated him as a project and he dated her because he thought she would fix him. She's very materialistic because of her upbringing and he never seemed to fit in her world. They didn't feel like real partners in the brief time we saw them as a couple. Idk if she ever find out about the kiss with emma, but cheating with callum made sense to me. consciously or not, I think she wanted to destroy her marriage in the most definitive way lol
She wanted a man who has money. She cares too much about her status and class whereas Dexter’s desires are changing.

Poor Rob was going through it watching Dex with the baby lol. I was right there with you the first time I was watching tho, I was sure he was going to mess it up somehow but nope it was Sylvie. Which brings me to freaking Zuff and his random predictions that aren't random at all. The way he says some things it's like he closes his eyes and randomly chooses and they just happen to be right lmao.
In the book Callum actually gave him a managerial job, but he’s all about making all his employees working in the shop. So, he’s not really “just” a cashier.
They only got married because of the pregnancy so this was inevitable really..

i know yall liked sylvie at first so i didnt wanna say anything but i always knew she was weird. she felt VERY "whatever mom and dad says" if you know what i mean. Her family especially are all assholes and personally i dont think i could deal with that in a partner.
I like Sylvie, her and Dex just weren't right for each other.

That doesn't mean it's not cheating and certainly doesn’t make it right imo.
@@cara2290it doesn't make it right but it does provide context. I think Sylvie is only with callum because financially he is in a much better position than Dex. Callum owns a few coffee shops and is doing well for himself whereas Dex is a 'washed up has been' who can only get a job from Callum. Dex is trying to provide for his family and this is the first time he has ever had to do this before. In my view Sylvie's infidelity is worse than Dex and Emma's kiss.
@user-xu8cg2ll2o idk, Sylvie is by no means innocent, but Dex and Emma's whole relationship is just one big red flag in my eyes. Neither Dex or Sylvie are innocent, but I don't think either are bad people or one more guilty than the other. They just don't work well as a couple and can't provide what the other wants/needs.

As a parent myself, i can tell you that just a couple glasses of wine would be absolutely fine. I used to get quite tipsy, sometimes even drunk but as soon as i heard my baby cry, i was instantly sober again!
I'm not saying every parent should get drunk while supervising a baby, but a one off wont be the absolute worst thing, especially if you know your tolerance level - which i fully believe Dex does at this point lol
I had the same sick feeling when Dex was drinking early in the evening with the baby. I wouldn't normally. but Dex was so unpredictable when it came to his relationship with intoxicating substances.

I think the kiss with Emma was more of a goodbye kiss. Although you don't normally kiss people goodbye like THAT, but for friends who have always had that sexual tension, it makes sense to say goodbye in that way.
I don't mean like "goodbye forever", just goodbye to any chance of being together.
I personally don't consider that kiss cheating because nothing else happened - and i am a huge NO for cheaters.
again, I just think kissing Emma is different from sleeping with a brand new dude. Dex and Emma go way back. it was a goodbye. of course the goodbye wasn't total - as we see here - I mean, the whole story is about that. I don't know. I'm pretty old and there are ex-es in my past who have a permanent spot in my life and heart, even if I don't see them all the time - and any new dude who comes in will have to be okay with it. and in general once you get older, people are definitely more okay with people having a past.
I love watching you young men giving honest & heart-felt opinions... keep up the good work... The trouble is and will always be the problem with Dexter his heart never belonged to Sylvie.. he has lost the two woman he has ever loved and can't handle all of his feelings he's carrying a broken 💔💔 still, that's why the drink is sneaking back into his life 😮💨😔😭

I kinda feel bad for Dex but not really. He has been emotionally cheating on her since before they were married. He obviously has feelings for someone else, he's trying but still keeps the "temptation" around so he's not that much better from Sylvie.
I feel like carrying on a long term affair with your spouse’s friend and boss while having a child is like several orders of magnitude worse than reestablishing a friendship with someone you’ve known for a decade (as far as we know it looks like Dex and Emma chat and keep up with each other but don’t see anything indicating an emotional affair or anything inappropriate).

@@jl5574 Twist it however you like, she isn't just an old friend he wants to hang out with. They're both horrible partners to each other. One is physically cheating and the other emotionally, but he did cheat physically as well when they kissed, they're just not sleeping together.
Just wanted to add that of course the affair she is having is much worse, but they are both in the wrong and shouldn't be together.
