- Playing a Mary Poppins Medley on a public piano has an unexpectedly delightful effect on a tiny member of the audience....

That little girl in the back at 01:09 is exactly what the Mary poppins soundtrack should do to kids😍😍😍
It's too bad mom couldn't or wouldn't take a few minutes to let her enjoy the piano, and who knows, perhaps develop a taste for music and playing an instrument.
And her mom giving no flips about it 😂
Amen.
I noticed that as well. She _really_ wanted to stay and dance to the tunes. 😊
I thought she needed to do a wee wee
That young man is good. He is so respectful of the older man.
Melinda Atha ya I ship it.
lovely to watch truly.
Older man earned it by sharing love and inspiring the other (s)
They were respectful to each other. I wish more people knew that showing respect earns respect. Nowadays a lot of people think they're just entitled to respect while never giving any in return.
Yes, but I wanted to hear more of Ibrahim’s free style !
Absolutely fantastic, but wow that piano is amazingly in tune for a public piano in an underground station!
Maybe its electric
@@ertfgghhhh it's definitely not, there's other videos when it's worse for wear, probably recently had a tune or was replaced
@@myfriendmoses if true, i stand corrected
Porco Rosso it’s not electric, that’s an upright Yamaha b3. And yes it’d make sense financially for them to use a sturdy digital board so they wouldn’t have to get it retuned (constantly I’m assuming) but they aren’t focused on cost efficiency in this case. they’re offering people a real experience on a full piano, feel the feedback of the hammers smacking the strings, it’s a much more dynamic experience, always gives me confidence.
How come it’s not trashed and covered in graffiti lol
That little sweetheart dancing around. She was so absorbed in what she was hearing. This is what can trigger that creative spark in children and why it's so important that kids have exposure to the arts in general whether it be at school or in a public place like here. It's such an important thing
I love how she was so adorable that other people came closer just to look at her :3
@@angra7It's really beautiful to see. For kids this is something really special.
You people have no idea what you’re talking about. That poor ethnic child clearly has Chim Chim Cher-ee Disorder. It was quite common in suburbia during the mid 60s and is apparently making a comeback in the urban areas.
@@hazelgoodshepherd9315She's been sweeping chimneys recently I believe
And bring in their own experiences into it, like I love how the PSO has a high school program where students can in a way pick their own themes and bring in anything. Man I wish I knew anime sooner, I probably would have made that a theme and brought in a Naruto and/or one piece song. Too bad some of the more amazing songs came out later after graduation. 😣 That's ok, I would love doing my own renditions of them on violin (jazz style and Celtic fiddle), harp, electric piano, pan flute, and chroma harp with singing so badly. Maybe do some amving and RLmv (real life)s with some other things and mashes and mixes. So want to do fluffy tail so g on Maple world two, still getting gear for it and aiming for the violin, got the harp and piano. Oh the koto and pan flute would be amazing on there! ☺
The most wonderful thing about having a talent is sharing it with others to make their day 💕
And the freedom to express it. Supression of talent can dim the very light that lives within, the possibility to never inspire movement or a shared dream. . . . "Summer's here and the time is right for dancing in the streets!"
And the freedom to express it.. !! How wonderful is it to have a piano for free at a train station!?
I agree. After years of putting if off, finally I am learning to play piano with a tenacity! This was joyful to listen to and to watch the little child.
I got goosebumps when Feed the Birds was played. Tuppence tuppence could listen to the piano all day.
Me too, it was never ending actually, goosebumps during the whole video! 😍
@@MrsJessVee yes. Definitely. One of my highlights when in London was the various stations with a piano player. I loved it.
That song prompted me to start feeding the birds in my yard
Tuppence always make me cry.
@@RandomTorok me too.. not sure why music makes me so emotional.. but it looks so silly to everyone else!
The piano is great, but the best part is the little baby girl dancing. So sweet!
Laurie Williams ❤️❤️❤️
I was waiting for he to do the flosss. She got close.
Yeah that was adorable. Also, the little girl who starts dancing to Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! as she goes through the turnstiles with her mum at ua-cam.com/video/l68ds-hP9ag/v-deo.html
There were 2 girls in the video who were dancing
lovely to see
The response of children to the music is how we should all feel the freedom of, to dance, to feel inspired to dance/move, to have our spirits lifted. The wisdom of children is lost via gaining and the things were taught in life. While not the same for all, many get that gift taken away while still very young. The little one knows the stomping prompt within the tune, that's amazing.
Funny, the original Mary Poppins books touched on that😂
@@RHTQ1 wouldn't it be wonderful to have that insight and foresight unravel itself daily granting each of us a whimsical smile that imparts a little bit to others.
Soft melody: little girl: soft twirls
Fast melody: little girl: *STOMP STOMP STOMP*
Me: *lol same*
purple derp 😂👌🏻
I noticed how she was keeping the beat
Yes! She had the exact movements to match the tunes. I think her favorite was the stomps!
😂
Baby girl is so darn adorable
I like seeing that guy actually watch with serious interest and took it all in instead of just recording it with his phone. The ending was great though, get him back on the piano and you just leg it! :D
For all you or I know, someone "just" recording it with his phone might have been listening with more interest than you think. After all, if they took the trouble to record it, doesn't that suggest that they expect to want to listen to it again?
If someone didn’t record it how could you enjoy this vid?
@@jontraz5993 yeah, god knows there's nothing worse than sharing an awesome moment online so other people around the world can share that joy. So superficial, amirite?
ditto!
If you're so mad that someone recorded this why are you watching it...
1:08 She was the unsung star 100%
Both babies were precious.
May God bless their every step.
What i liked most is that she wasn't even watching, her dancing was just a pure spontaneous reaction to the sound. A lovely moment!
@@yvy6269 that mean music is life . Beautiful peaceful everything
The baby dancing was adorable, but did you see the young girl in pink going through the turnstile with her mom suddenly start popping to "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious"?
Yes, I spelled it out, now my fingers are tired...
I commented on the little dancer, but just went back to check the pink prancer... AWESOME!
She was the first and acted like she wanted to come back and watch.
she was hilarious!
😂🤣😍
Lol in Spanish it goes "Supercalifragilísticoespialidoso"
Hey Brendan! I am Richard M. Sherman's son in law. He loves to see his music inspire amazing stuff like this, and I will show it to him the next time I see him. Cheers!
You are a very lucky man. I can't imagine having that much music around the family!
This is awesome.
Wow, I love the Sherman’s
“Feed the Birds” has the power to bring tears to my eyes every time I hear it, more so as I become ever more sentimental with age. I was seven-years-old when I first saw “Mary Poppins” and that song moved me deeply. I was haunted by it for years. I got the LP record album of the soundtrack as a gift for my eighth birthday. I played it over and over on my little red plastic record player until I almost wore the groves off the vinyl disk.
My husband is German and as a child he saw the film in its German version but the songs were still sung in the original English. He told me that the song “Feed the Birds” made him “cry his eyes out” and he didn’t even understand the meaning of the words! That demonstrates the profound emotional power of music. The Sherman brothers were geniuses. Their talent has brought joy to millions. I often sing their songs alone to myself while driving- it is my secret joy. 🎶🎵🎶🎵 “Chitty Bang Bang... Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!” Please give my heartfelt gratitude to your father-in-law.
Feed the Birds is one of my favorite songs. I cry each time I sing it. God bless your father in law!
Loved the little girl in the pink who just couldn’t stop her feet as her mommy is gently pulling her through the gate. 🤗
I'm digging that young blokes energy. He looks so care free and peaceful. It's inspiring
Dude was like, ‘Awe, man. I gotta play after that?’
What can bring us all together?
Music can💕.
Well stated Ms. Kim. You are indeed onto something. Peace.
Michael Jackson knew this. He also knew children were the best judges of music.
My favorite from Mary Poppins feed the birds toppens a bag ,will bring you to tears
I love that song so much
So did Walt. It was his favorite song. Whenever he had a rough day, he would call one of the Sherman brothers up to his office and just say “play it”
Feed the birds....tuppence a bag
Tuppence...tuppence..🎼🎶🎶
I really cried watching this. we did Mary Poppins at our school this year, best experience of my life. I owe everything to this wonderful musical... I played the bird woman and teared up during the feed the birds part :') thank you so much for this.
Nice pfp
I played the bird woman too
I also played the bird woman... it’s crazy how mentally attached I was to that role! I loved being in mary poppins. :D
Me too !! I Just love that song ! It brings out tears everytime I hear it. So yeah... I cried too.
That little girl looked like she was having the best day of her life.
-plays the entire marry poppins extended soundtrack on piano
"Yeea bruh so that's what you were playing reminded me of"
He couldnt just have been a passer by. I bet he was part of the movie or play
Beth Hellings love, you’re on his youtube channel lol
LOL!
That was the sweetest and purest thing ever. The joy on that toddlers face.
Those little tiny feet slapping the ground, and those little tiny hands clapping just had me smiling so happy!
Now that’s what life is about !!
Happy children, music, ...just pure happiness all around ..!!!
As a parent... and just a human..... I started to tear up!
Awesome!!! Tnx👍🏻
James Memento Mori Right?!
That baby girl felt every note of the music, in her bones. Her rhythm was perfect. Isn't that magic?
A beautiful unexpected happy moment for a complete group of strangers. Thank you universe for dancing babies, pianos, and talented free styling piano players.
Who wants to give a like for Ibrahim and his lovely family?
What a sweet precious lil girl enjoying great music!!!
The sweet little girl was the hit of the show ! How innocent we are at that age ! Why can’t we be like that Lovable child ! The music was lovely, thank you for sharing love, love the performance of both child and adult !👍👍👍👍💕💕💕💕💕🌹
I adore the fact that there are pianos in the stations. How awesome is that?
Music is food for the soul.
Mary Poppins: Practicably Perfect in Every Way
That was so beautiful! To quote the Ojays, "Music is the healing force of the world."💜
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious is the best song in the world!
But the sound of it is quite atrocious.
If you say it loud enough you'll always sound precautious
Feed the Birds is bettee
😂😂😂
@@Eliza-ig9kz "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" um diddley um diddley i.
I LOVE the songs from Mary Poppins! I used to listen to them over and over and over and my favorite was always "Chim-Chimeny". Thank you SO MUCH!!!!!
Susan Carpenter I always liked “Step in Time” the best. Dick van Dyke absolutely OWNED that scene!
1:09 I like how the little girl nearly broke her moms arm 😂
Edit: I didn’t expect this comment to explode like this 😂😂
Unless they were in a hurry. I would be stopped for 2 minutes and let my lil girl dance, with me .
My girlfriend said something similar about unexpected exploding the first time we had sex. Then she started screaming "It burns my eyes"!!!
Yeah, her mom started to dance for a second and then was like gotta go
I was the 666 like lmao
The mom should have let her daughter enjoy that music. That is what is wrong with parents day....always in a hurry...shame on you, stop and take the time to enjoy the enjoyable things in life.
These are the stories that should be preserved in our hearts and our maturing minds. Thank you for sharing this story.
Wow he tore that right up! The baby is SO enjoying the music 💗
The little girl dancing is the cutest thing I've seen all day and I've been binge watching too cute on the animal planet
Beautiful the little girl dancing, so cute.
Mary Poppins music always holds a special part of my heart from my childhood, had me tearing up
Indya May My first musical (and still my favorite)!!!!!
I love seeing us Brits bond over something like this. Thanks for continuing to spread smiles, not just across the capital, not even the nation - the world! Keep it up Dr. K, you made me realise where the real middle C is - in our hearts
skarrambo 1 stfu mate... jk love you
Rudlum not funny mate stfu
Jk love you
"Us brits"?!? Get over yourself, madam, London is a melting pot and there are people from EVERYWHERE in there! Ibrahim and his lovely family are an example. Be more humble and less "proud to be Brexit"!
@@Tuirapanui Lmao, are you a troll account? Because you're certainly doing no good for the image of remain. I am in fact, a remainer - which right off the bat is hilarious, considering your accusation on assumptions. And sure, some of those people may be tourists, that's totally fine. You know what else is totally fine? To assume that people in a video in London, either come from the UK, live in the UK, work in the UK, or are being educated in the UK. In my eyes, these people count as Brits (sure, not technically true, that's fine with me). Try to be inclusive instead! Like, assuming I'm a madam, when I'm in fact a sir - but assuming gender or sex at all on the internet is just a downright silly thing to do, unless someone clearly states it.
Could listen to tunes from Mary Poppins forever - brings back such wonderful childhood memories - your playing is brilliant - thx for posting this uplifting video - cheers from Canada
I love these videos not just because of the talented piano playing, but the way you encourage and support all musicians
Beautiful performance ❤️❤️❤️ the little girl was feeling and enjoying the piano.
Just loved this, thank you so much for sharing. I live in Maryborough, Queensland Australia which is the birthplace of P.L.Travers, the writer of Mary Poppins

I love how you switched it up for the baby.
While you were playing the Feed the Birds Portion, I had no choice but to close my eyes, sing along and just be content. Thank you Brendan. ❤️

Music is such a wonderful/powerful thing, you don’t need word or even have to understand the language to feel it. I’d been out there with my kid dancing too! Shoutout to both these guys for bringing random people together for such an enjoyable experience.
OH-MY-WORD!!!CONFIRMED!!! If that precious baby girl started dancing like that while I was playing the piano I would never quit 🥰
The first guy playing the piano was seriously AMAZING, the last guy was a jaw dropper! They both appreciated the other ones talent, that’s what made it great ♥️
Love how music connects us.
