I really 💘 these rare episodes with Lou Grant and Dixie, nobody else could play Lou Grant like Ed Asner, and Julie London was the only reason I watched Emergency. Wow, Rebas something else, have you ever seen a contestant more unabashedly uninhibited?

Richard looked so sad when Dorothy had to leave, like he coulda taken her home with him. Actually didn't he invite her to stay with him when her folks go to Hawaii?

Richard thinks for a moment and then looks to the sixth chair before writing. Then he pauses, hmms, scratches his nose and pauses some more before scribbling something else down and promptly filing his answer, but not before Fannie sneaks a peak.
The contestant gave my answer. Richard, however, had a different thought: "Graham". -- (Virginia Graham was a noted daytime talk show host from the mid-1950s to the mid-1970s.)

@@jimdavenport4484 @PistolAnnie, good point. It was out earlier outside the US, but not before 1978. (Switzerland had it that year; Canada in 1979; the UK in 1980.) And I just noticed he IS smoking in this episode, so there goes my theory that he was trying to quit. Maybe he was trying to cut back.

Gene is always lewd and suggestive, but as soon as a woman turns the tables on him he can't handle it. He could barely read the next question after that woman said she loved sex.

Suggestive sure, lewd not so much. It was all it good fun. But you have a point, Gene was thrown off his game when then contestant said she liked sex. I thought it was fun to see him tap dance his way all the way to the commercial.
