Did you see the long enduring kiss he gave Julie London on her intro in episode 606? Even Julie looked shocked at the intensity.
Gene is a big flirt but after I Gene and Helen on Tattletales it's pretty clear they are in a loving committed relationship.

Gene said something about "Second Chance" being a good name for a game show...He would be right: Second Chance becomes the name of a game show in 1977-while it doesn't last long, the concept gets a second chance...under the name "Press Your Luck"!
Is this the only week they went backwards through the panel? It's surprising they didn't do it more. Also, jeez, how did Ed Asner get French letter (British slang for a condom) past the censors? Maybe they didn't understand the reference? Asner sure did.
Gene went backwards by Richard suggestion in episode 1008. I don't want to tell you what happens in case you want to watch that episode.. ;0) If you want to know I can tell you if you want. ;0)
It's old-fashioned (even then) and British - they probably didn't know what it meant, or figured the viewing public wouldn't. The audience failed to appreciate it and booed. At Ed Asner!

@@lesburns7395 She looked truly puzzled at Ed's answer "roach." I think she had no idea what he meant. She seemed generally lost and puzzled by the questions in general. I wonder if potential contestants audition by playing a round or two for the producers?

interesting watching episode 608 and 609 back to back. both (original) contestants are in the same cloths. everyone on the panel changed wardrobe except charles (different color scarf) and richard. but i couldn't help notice that fanny always wears what looks to be a custom made sweater, i wonder if she had a sponsor or something, obviously they didn't have the internet and finding such a specialized boutique would have been pretty random.
One time she said a friend made her a sweater.

My (educated) guess is - Susie Thompson, at the time of this taping, was only married a short time. Why you ask? Because she said she had 2 children, and she looks like/acts like she is the type to give birth every 9 months, and 30 minutes. (Get it?) If I have to explain THAT, it would cease to be funny. Trust me, on the former, as well as the latter.
