Good evening Ms Lippy. Please be safe with what's coming. Keeping you in prayer with the weather and upcoming surgery. Wonderful looking tomatoes. Everything is slow starting here with heat and constant rain. Can't really grow outdoors sadly do to what's going on with the soil and spraying but I find work arounds. The garden sure does look different now. Thanks for sharing what your doing with the Okra and you definitely have blooms and pods coming. Very wise decision to put the powder on when you get the plants out. Will definitely keep the bugs gone. Wow that is some nice Okra 😀 Thanks for the garden update. You and Mr Buddy stay safe 🙏💞
Good Morning, thank you my friend🌷. I always say - a little maintenance at the beginning makes for a better season of planting. A tornado hit our town hard, we are good; but major cleanup. ❤️
@@MsLippy I agree maintenance at the beginning does making a better planting season. Sorry to hear the town was hit hard by a tornado. Definitely a lot of clean up. I'm thankful you and Buddy are safe and pray no harm to anyone in the town. Have the best night 🙏💙
Your garden is looking good mine in Wisconsin we have had so much rain stuff is turning yellow I hope the storm don't do to much to Yous. You and Buddy are in my prayers
Ms Linda, girl that rain can sure make a garden sad; but I bet your garden will turn around and have you smiling🌱🌷. We’ve done all we could preparing for the storms.❤️
Everything looks wonderful! Love the okra and another lady I watch from the Appalachians does her okra that way, I am going to try it. We got an inch of blessed rain today, oh we were so dry… praying for y’all on what is coming your way…I saw where it was tracking and said a prayer yesterday. I was in my garden the other day and I noticed how healthy and bug free my plants were and I thought something along what you said, our plants are like our bodies when we are unhealthy diseases set in….it all makes sense. Love and Gods Blessings sister, ❤
Amen Sister Amen!!! It’s exactly like our own bodies.. I’m as ready as I can get us for the upcoming storms, and was able to get 14 jars of red hots done today, so the kids are set for the winter. Blessings My Sweet Sister❤️
Miss lippy your garden is beautiful, lots of hard work, my tomatoes are almost ready to be blushing, I can't wait, I'm in zone 6, I'm praying for everyone.
We are so please how well our garden did, considering almost 4 weeks not being tending too. I still have 2 and half weeks before surgery, so hopefully I can get everything done on my list. ❤️
Thanks for sharing how you rest the garden beds. It’s to hot out there for me. Can’t wait to get my garden for the coming growing season. Love to all. I will pray for your hand surgery. Let us know how it goes.
After watching this video earlier, I went out and gave our okra a haircut as you would call it. It's always fun to see Miss Lou walking through your garden while you are filming a garden update. It's like she knows she's knows she going to be on camera. Prayers for safety for you and your family Ms Lippy.
GOOD AFTERNOON LIPPY & BUDDY. It is to hot here in Indiana I can only imagine how hot it is there. Friend you & Buddy & everyone down south are in my PRAYERS. I sure am hoping that Hurricane dies down. PRAYERS for your Hand Surgery . Hopefully Mr Buddy can help take care of You & himself while you recover. I’m sure you have things sat up for this coming week. GOD BLESS FROM Julie West Central Indiana Farmland
Ms Julie, I just sat down. I believe I’ve got everything done that needed done before the storms. Buddy will still be on restrictions; but he is able to help a lot more come time for my surgery ❤️
Good afternoon! I’ve been busy getting ready for Beryl to arrive tonight. Supposed to make landfall just east of me. Hope you don’t have too much rough weather up your way.
Hey Miss Lippy🥰. You've gotten a very good harvest given the considering the challenges with Mr Buddy. Hopefully he is doing well and on the mend. Question- I've never grown sweet potatoes b4, do i fertilize and with what and how often? Appreciate any insight you have. Many blessings to you as always💞
Mr Buddy is doing better each and every day!! Praise The Lord🙌.. I do fertilize my beds with triple 13 - 2 weeks before planting my slips, keep the beds moist until 3/4 days before slips going in. Then after 1 month, I will side dress with triple 13 and that’s all I do. ❤️
Ms Bettie, we have a compost pile, we turn it every two weeks for next year’s beds. Thank you for the Prayers, it’s about to get concerning for many🙏❤️❤️
Ms. Lippy, we have been watching that storm! Prayers for you and your family! That okra looks amazing! Everything looks great! Stay safe and keep us posted when you can❤️
Right there with you Ms Lippy, I walked garden early and harvested what I could and made sure everything is secure as I live in the predicted path it’s nice at 75f with a breeze rain already started so no work on road construction tomorrow and as long as no lightning I will be out flipping my compost pile and covering it so it can bake in the texas sun 😊
So, Lippy, is what you do switching your okra the same principle of what you’re doing with your tomatoes? We aren’t as versed at growing tomatoes as other plants.
No Ma’am Ms Linda. Tomatoes are two different verities, the Determinate one - all fruit come in all within a couple weeks of first harvest, Indeterminate tomatoes- will continue to set fruit until first frost. I would suggest to keep all bottom leaves cut, and cut a few vines to keep air flow. I’ll try and do a video and explain the difference. 🌷❤️
we are hoping to move to georgia in a few years. i am not looking forward to the humidity! i hope to have enough backyard space to have a nice garden. love your gardening videos😍
Good afternoon. It is so hot making it so hard to work outside. Worked outside the last few days in the morning in the garden and come in looking like I just jumped in a pool with my clothes on 😂. Been praying for you and everyone in the path of this storm that it is not bad. Y'all better watch fire ants took over our okra last year looking for water. Interesting idea with the captain jacks just may have to try that. Thank y'all for sharing and have a blessed day.
I tell ya - it’s some hot and humid, it’s obvious there is a storm coming. No fire ants in the garden, so spray Biophen at the beginning around all beds, and so far it keeps them away from the beds and buckets. Y’all have a wonderful evening our dear friends
Hello Mr. Buddy and Ms. Lippy. My goodness, the mischief you get in to, girl! The blessings of a smaller garden this year; enough said. I am still jealous of your tomatoes. One of those 'matoes would not make it to the back door if I happened to be nearby. ;) lol Prayers for the incoming weather and restored health. Miss you guys. You mentioned your daughter and family had moved a while back. Sure hope they are settled in and are closer by. Safety, happiness and blessings your way. I owe you a short novel one of these days, or a two hour phone call. But, you wouldn't have the time to read it, or your listening ear would fall off, anyway. Life is busy and brimming with blessings. Much love. ♥🍀🌷💜
Good Morning Sister, They moved into town where they live; because of the traveling with school activities.
