You also get the full digital 3d gauge cluster in Korea, forgot to mention that. It's been in the G70 since 2019 yet the US market still doesn't have it.
The turn signal cameras on the digital gauge cluster are one of my favorite features in any car, was so looking forward to that. Not including them in this refresh is going to be the reason I don’t buy a G70 this year.
oh my gosh some of these are so cool… is there a way to ship some of those things like the wheel caps, spoiler, horn cover, etc. out to the US and have the dealer install them. I have a 23 and this would be amazing
You think it'd be as easy as asking them to ship these parts over. I've tried calling dealerships and asking them and they say that it's not possible because it's not a part for the American market... Like for some reason, even though the spoiler for example would fit, they can't order it. Rules and regulations man lol
Banger content as always. Didn’t know they had the shooting break in Korea - thought it was an EU only thing? Also damn I need that alcantara wheel and carbon fiber spoiler. I also could have sworn I’ve seen used kawah blue g70s for sale in the US but could be wrong
They sell a carbon fiber spoiler in the states from an aftermarket dealer, but it's like $1000... That's alot of dough just for a cosmetic mod that does nothing lol
Nope, I've called and asked multiple dealers across the nation. They all tell me that it is not a part marketed for the US market and therefore can't order it
The issues with the genesis websites are weird. They are all different, in content, layout, and functionality. Content is understandable, but the layout and functionality being different are not. It's just another area in which hyundai/genesis gives the non-korean markets the finger. I've liked genesis since day one, and i've been holding out for g70 for over a year now, hoping that we would eventually get the digital cluster. It was mentioned in the owners manual leak that happened a while back, so fingers crossed we will get it as an option, but genesis has proven time and time again that they do not care about the g70 at all, and would rather funnel updates into their models that actually sell in volume numbers. The interior difference between the g70 and the rest of the line up sticks out like a sore thumb.
7 seconds in and my jaw already hit the floor. G70 Shooting Brake?! I'd sell my soul for that in a heartbeat. Edit: I'm surprised that the G70 doesn't come with the digital touch climate control, 2022 GV70 had it in the base model (AFAIK), and the 2024 G70 still has physical buttons in the US, shocking. Edit 2: 2022 GV70 has metal caps on the wiper/turn signal stocks, shocked that 2024 G70 in the US doesn't have it, I would've expected them to share more parts.
Genesis website has confirmed that the 2024 G70 will have the digital AC controls for the united states. But until the 2024 models actually release we won't know for sure what all other features it is getting.
Do you think it will be possible to change the climate control to the newer ones if you already have a Genesis G70? Furthermore would be cool to make a Video comparison to europe? We have the Shooting Brake, 3d cluster but no 3.3 or 3.5 engine. Also no 2.5 engine for the G70 as far as I know
You'd have to take apart your dash I'd imagine to add in that new panel. I've seen videos of people changing out their gauge cluster, and just to remove the gauge cluster they have to remove basically the entire front dash of the car
100% agree. They've really stepped up their game over the past few years. I used to hate Hyundai vehicles, always looked at them as peice of trash cars, but they've seriously come a long way and have really caught my attention as of late
Unpopular opinion: I'm Korean and grew up with kia/hyundai and had a g70 before but I think these Korean cars are junk. If you're gonna drop 50k on a luxury car, invest in a euro make not kdm vehicles.
Interesting take. Quick question: How long ago was it that you experienced the new Hyundai and Genesis cars? Genesis has come an extremely long way even just in the past year
@@HammysShowcase well the newest one was the 2021 g70 3.3l, and I mean it looks really nice but just felt cheap compared to euro luxury vehicles that we also have in our family. And don’t even get me started with the two Hyundais we had as well, one was an Elantra and the other was a Tucson and both went to shit, blown motors. And yeah sure hyundai and Kia has the 10 year warranty but whats the point when Hyundai does everything in their power to deny the warranty claims. Idk just my two cents, to each their own I suppose.

Btw agree that the Korean website looks a lot smoother but the preview does not look very accurate… looks more like an unrendered cgi car 😅

Good stuff! Keep it up.
Try to expand this kind of coverage to other brands also
That's a good idea, I'll look into it.
Love those new wheels...
Is there a way to purchase these options I.e the digital gauge cluster or digital AC from Korea?
Nope, I've called and asked multiple dealers across the nation. They all tell me that it is not a part marketed for the US market and therefore can't order it
@@HammysShowcase that’s so crazy!
@@HammysShowcase I found a page that ships from Korea thanks🙏🏽
Exactly.
Don’t deal with NA dealers if you want JDM parts.
@@HammysShowcaseyou have know someone there. Send money over for them to buy it then they ship it over.
Got mine for 57 loving it
Glad to hear it!! 😁

@@HammysShowcase Fantastic to know! Sorry I just had a glance over the interior pictures on the US website 😅
If you pay enough you can get anything, and no not crazy amounts for these features.

Gv80 and the new Santa Fe are the best looking interiors coming out

The reason it’s cheaper in Korea is, well, um, it’s built there.
No duties/shipping etc.
Duh.
Just import it
Alcantara gets nasty after your oily hands rub all over it. Pass.
I was kinda wondering that, and harder to clean I'd imagine

Why is everything in the US so fing bland, straight down to McDonald's
