Worn them for a week and the only downside I've seen so far is the the tongue. It could use just a touch more padding and be ever so slightly longer. Other than that I love them. Very light. Very wide. Insole is comfortable. Really grip the floor. I have yet to run in them.
Hey. Have you come across a trainer with this type of toe box but with more cushioning for high impact training/jumping? Maybe the CXT-2 but don’t think their toe shape is that anatomical or wide
Good video Joel, I think the only thing I think could have been improved is the thickness of the insole but i'm being pretty picky. I thought overall they were a great shoe and I loved the wide toebox.. especially compared to the metcon 9
Brother how would you compare Nano x3 Vs adidas dropset trainer 2? Please help me decide... I only lift (heavy) .. No crossfit.. Just a little cardio at the end of workout sessions occasionally
Hey buddy thanks for the vid. I wanted to second another commenter’s question on their fitness for just general walking. In my late 30s and broke my hip a few years back so my ability to run is limited but I do a good bit of walking. Are these comfortable for 3-5+ miles?
I think they would be okay for walking but those distances might be a stretch...of course it all comes down to your tolerances so it might be okay. For walking id probably go with Flux footwear runners as they have a zero drop but still have some kind of cushioning. If you're prone to calf soreness maybe something like Reebok Floatzig, RAD R-1, Nobull drive. Most running shoes would work but be mindful of the toespring.
I did in the first impressions but I didn’t think it was impactful enough to go over again. It’s just a sock liner unlike the Metcon 5/6 which is structural.
Would these be better than inov8 235v3? My inov8s I like, but tread after less than a year is considerably worn down and not as supportive on medial sides
@@jamesjayakar553 I would probably just go with some Free Metcon 5s or Air Zoom trainers. Depends how heavy your leg day is vs how much cardio you do. Frees would be a little better for lifting but zoom are better for cardio, both are capable enough either way.
only reviews i can find for these shoes are by crossfit dweebs. does anyone who uses these for general powerlifting and bodybuilding have thoughts on them?
No shit turd, they’re made for CrossFit. Luckily anything made from the rigors of CrossFit are going to handle most people’s weights in powerlifting and definitely anything you’d do in bodybuilding.
The Nano 3.0 was my first and favorite trainer until the RAD’s. I’ll have to cop a pair of these for nostalgia’s sake

I’m really excited about these and the return to simpler shoes. However, I’ll probably wait for a version 2 to work out any issues.
Really tempted to get these since the wide toe box but currently loving the dropset 2s. Hmmmm…..
love these. great for everything. I have deadlifted heavy in them and the low ground feel is good.

First time I saw these I was oh! Nano 2's lookalike ❤. Might get them as N2 are my favs of all times
Great detailed review like always! How does this compare to the Inov-8 235 V2 or V3? Seems kind of comparable
Pretty similar to the v3 but those are probably a little softer. These feel more direct.
I was just waiting for the wide toe box review. Awesome 👏🏻

Are they good for walking if I went on a vacation with just a carry on?
Any comments on size comparison with the nano 2/restock? I got d restock nano 2 at size 10 and its a bit small for me. Thanks joel
Saludos desde España! Cómo verías este modelo para entrenamiento con mucha cardio?

Hi, just bought d new metcon 1 OG, how does d savage 1 compare to it in terms of size and comfort? Thanks
Did you reference the dual density insole. Reminiscent of the original metcon

Hello, how do you choose the sizes in born primitive savage 1 I'm a 9.5 US in nike metcon
@@alebellido4962 same as metcon should work

I think the BPs are about the same depending on what you like. The tread depth isn’t too far off but they are slightly more supportive. I prefer them.
great review. pleasantly surprised with your feedback. I just cant with the logo/branding haha
Same boat for me, very subjective though so I didn’t talk about it. Some people love that stuff.
Looks very much like the New Balance Minimus Prevail, which I happened to really like
They’re pretty similar
Can these be used for Padel Tennis?
Hello Joel

Thank you joel
You would be spend about 150 plus with tax...14$ shipping and 12$ tax on top of the 130$
Bought a pair. Returned the pair. Very uncomfortable.
