I bought a pair of haze trainers when they first came out and they fit just fine. I recently bought a second pair (same size) and I had to return them because I swear I couldn’t squeeze my feet inside of them 😣
Curious on your thoughts on shoes that are great for lifting but also a good shoe that would work for running. We tend to have running in our programming and I hate to change into formal running shoes during the workouts. Great videos and very thorough! Solid work!
I don’t love them. They’re pretty generic and pricey, plus, Joel broke his after a few rope climbs if I’m not mistaken. Great for general training and casual use, but just not my fave for CF only training.

Excellent review, Jake! I have 2E feet with low arches, and have the Nano X2 - they've been great, but are now showing their age. I do CrossFit and Zumba. I tried Nano X4s, but they were too narrow in the toebox and also a bit snug in the upper. May I ask your rec for a comparable new hybrid/cross-trainer?
Look into the Inov8 F-Fly or Inov8 F-Lite. I think those would hit the nail on the head for what you're after! Orrrrr see if you can find a Nano X2 marked down!
I’ve had MetCon 2s (Haystack Colorwave) since 2016 and I love them… they’re still in great shape. Loosing traction a bit, and the insoles are quite worn, but otherwise solid. I want something similar. Any recommendations?

I’ve been binging a lot of your shoe reviews lately, I love the content. Strike Movement has a great Black Friday event going on. I’m someone who mainly walks/jogs (4-6mph) a mile or two on the treadmill before lifting. I’m budget conscious rn, do you think the vimana hybrids($64) are worth the extra from the interval knit ($45) AF you’d also reviewed or just go all out for the haze trainer ($75)?
If the $11 won't kill ya, the Haze are great, but the Vimana are sick as well and would give you a little more comfort for running. If you cop Vimana, I'd suggest going up a half-size

Hmm - the Born Prim Savage 1 is a lower profile/stack height option to try. Will fit wider, too. Haze Trainer may work, too! I'd start BP and go from there.
If you had to choose only one pair of CrossFit shoes, which one would you pick? My weekly workouts include weightlifting 2 out of 5 days, running sets of 200 to 400 meters 3 out of 5 days, and general CrossFit exercises. I currently use the Dropset 2 and the Metcon 9. I was thinking about getting the TYR CXT-2, but I’m not sure if they’re the ideal choice or if it’s just the hype because so many CrossFitters use them. Which one would you recommend I buy?
CXT-2 can be a great bet. Good for lifting/CF and will work for that distance, imo! I'd give them a run and if you want something a little more plush, the RAD ONE can be a great pick!

i have watched multiple videos about Nano X4, and one of the conclusions I got was it is more narrow compare to X3. In your opinion, if I upsize it by 1 size, will it more accommodate to someone who has quite wide feet ? I use Reebok Nano X3 Adventure, size 44, and I feel a bit snug on the toe box area.

I love the Reebok Nano Adventure series, because they are the only one I know for having a multi function shoes (Trail, Gym, a bit of running, & good look enough to use it for hangout). It comes down to your context. I love the CXT-2/RAD the most and swap them depending on what I'm doing. For straight up CF asks that are more "well-rounded": RAD, CXT-2, Metcon 9 For CF asks with a lifting bias: CXT-2, Metcon 9, RAD ONE For CF asks and wider feet: CXT-2 (wide), Metcon 9, RAD ONE
Rad Ones still going strong for me. Running, squatting, burpees… great. Prob still prefer my Nobull for deadlift like movements. I just hope Rad don’t make the same mistake as nobull that never improved their formula but just colors. I do like the CXT2 shape, better than Rad. I tried them on but true to size was not good for me (10), half size up would have been better. I believe even As Many Reviews as possible had the same issue.
Yeah, the CXT-2's sizing is so odd, I think it's due to them using a diff sizing chart and measurement compared to other companies. Half-size up may be the new meta for them!
Tough to say definitely without knowing more context, but to start your research, I'd look into models like the RAD ONE or Adidas Dropset 3. They should give you a bit more support!

I think I prefer something that is more responsive. I’m kind of just starting my fitness journey and jumping rope seems like something fun to work up to.

I got the haze trainer and would never buy them again. I have wide flat feet and I literally wear them untied while working out. I contacted the company right away for a size up and they told me I had to pay for shipping back to the company in Canada (I’m in the US).
Yeah, they're a no-go for flatter feet - or at least some foot anatomies in that context. I'd give the BP Savage 1 a try as a next option. And I'm sorry to hear about the returns struggle. I've heard it can be finicky at times, that's why I always suggest Box Basics for Haze if you're based in the US and unsure about sizing/first time buying!
