      A bit more versatile with better ankle support! I like the Dropset 3 more for doing a bit of everything

    Awesome review 👏🏼 you mention wearing size 10 in both the Tyr and Savage, could you share the insole length for these two? Thanks!

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  2 місяці тому

      They have sizing charts with this information. Can easily click on their sizing charts to see and compare. If you have a wide foot and you're nervous about the TYR model, go up a half size or buy the wide option.

    Can you point me in a good direction for a good training shoe that is also good for mid length runs? I do have a wide foot so I train in the born primitive but I will be starting a training academy for six months which I will be doing CrossFit, cross training and runs on any given day and trying to find a shoe that will work well all around if needed. Thanks for all the info you’ve already given!

      New Balance makes some solid wider foot runners, Inov8 also has a few options! I'd see what they have in store and go from there. My running depth only goes so far so I can point you in a decent direction, but I don't have endless specific picks to recommend like trainers and barefoot shoes, lol

    I’m looking for a training shoe that has a wider toe box and is good for gym workouts and some running. I’m having a hard time finding a shoe for that. I was leaning towards the BP or TYR in these videos but since you said they are not great for some running I’m now not sure what to get 😂.

    Jake thanks for the videos man, i cant test the shoes before buying them so these kind of videos really help me to be accurate. I have a really flat feet and wide on the arch, i tested nanos metcons, nobulls and nothing seems to hit the nail, i even have the nike invincible for running and my feets gets tired even standing because of the inclined position , do you think the Savage 1 are better for me than the haze ones that seems like the other option for flat feet?
    Thanks again man you do a wonderful work here.

    Just got a pair of Strike MVMNTs and love them. They are 11.5 Mens and are just a tad tight in mid foot and give or take the day a tad bit to long but not by much. Would you say the Born Primitive Savages run bigger or are more spacious? If so I may grab some 11s! Thanks love the videos!

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  5 місяців тому +1

      I'd stick with the 11.5, honestly. Can always wear slightly thicker socks if you want to fill the space at the end a bit more, but a bit too long is way better than too snug, especially for CF and plyos!

    Hi mate, not bought any trainers in a while. I'm currently using some older Nano X and X1s. Most of my gym time is spent on strength/hypertrophy work but want to also start adding in some more plyometric movements into my training. I was looking at the Reign 6 but I'm a little concerned about squatting in it so I was considering something more like the dropset or maybe adding a weightlifting shoe (never used one before) alongside the Reign. Any suggestions?
    PS. Love the idea for your store, I was shopping today and nowhere had proper training shoes available to try on.

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  5 місяців тому

      I'd give the Dropset a try. They're exceptionally solid or at least would be a good option to explore next for you based on this context!

      @thatfitfriend I'm a mostly compound exercise focused lifter, need a good enough shoe for squats with a shoe that I can do lunges, box jumps etc in.. I deadlift without shoes. Just need a do it all training shoe as I'm tired of metcons! I bicycle for cardio so running isn't as important. I haven't tried either on yet as stock for both shoes Is at two different store locations but I think I'm going to make a drive out today and try both on
