i go down rabbit holes of these reaction videos because I love seeing people getting hyped over the music I love. It really warms my heart, your reaction is awesome. Cheers
What a lovely, visceral response. This band has a wide variety of musical styles, hits numerous genres - from heavy post-hardcore to straight alt-rock - and has really lovely videos that are also very disparate in style. Other things to consider: there are narratives woven into multiple albums by this band. So there are a lot of multi-layered meanings to lyrics and it can often be helpful to listen to a full record. There is a companion comic book for one album. The singer was/is a comic artist and wrote an award-winning comic called The Umbrella Academy, which is also now a VERY GOOD show on Netflix. They have TONS of B-sides and unreleased songs that are often as good, or better, than songs on other people's studio albums. If you enjoy visual art, story telling or really catchy aggressive music, welcome to your new obsession. ;-) Let us know if you would like recommendations for where to go next.
omg, it's crazy how you've never listened to My Chemical Romance before! this band is definitely worth delving deeper into; they're one of the most influential rock bands in the music industry. i suggest that you check out "The Ghost of You" by MCR next!
@@alanquintero7 I kind of didn’t because I was behind in music, so when MCR and others came out around the time I was in high school, I didn’t really know who they were and don’t really remember hearing their songs until about 2015 when I was 25. But before then it was mainly Bowie and other older acts - saw Bowie in 2004 and Stones in 2005.
This dude:"I wanna join the black parade" Me:"oh.... You don't wanna die.... Do you? " In all honesty I've loved your reaction, and would love to see you react to the plack parade album!
I love seeing people's first reactions to MCR.. I was a little Metal/Hardcore kid when they were around, but they were a band i always listened to. Got called "Emo" and all that stuff but i didn't really give a fuck. Good music is good music. You're in for a treat if you keep listening to their other stuff Jooo
My favorite band!!! The whole album is great. Helena is another great song, and the video is probably my favorite music video ever, I think it’s beautiful. My other favorite band is System of a Down, and you have to react to them!! So much talent
The black parade album is a phenomenal album highly recommend a full listen all the MCR albums are concept albums meaning the album itself tells a story Gerard Way (lead singer) did his hair white to mimic the main character of the album (the patient) whom has cancer MAMA and DEAD! I highly recommend from this album or Helena, thank you for the venom from there 2nd album
mcr is one of the greatest bands in recent history imo. it's really strange that you haven't heard of them before. but you definitely need to react to more my chemical romance i suggest "the ghost of you" it's probably one of the most heartbreaking music videos i've seen. or the entirety of the black parade album it's a musical masterpiece
I love your happy eyes and smile reacting to this song!! It’s so very powerful!! Took me years of listening to it and not REALLY listening to it until after my mom passed and it fills me with so much emotion because she taught me those same things ❤️
"I want to join them, I want to join the black parade" weeeelll considering the black parade is taking the patient to the afterlife...might not wanna join them ;)
Young man, you need to listen to Muse - Knights of Cydonia - Live at Rome Olympic Stadium and Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb - pulse concert performance 1994
"I wanna join the black parade" oh do ya now?
A lengthy dirt nap follows.
Best part of your reaction was not pausing the video several times like many do.
This song is an anthem and full of pure energy
i go down rabbit holes of these reaction videos because I love seeing people getting hyped over the music I love. It really warms my heart, your reaction is awesome. Cheers

@Nicole Jessica it is indeed very influential in is own era
@Nicole Jessica well all my generation knows about MCR, so I wouldn't say their influence is only limited to the emo community
