LYRICS:
I'm feelin the way that I'm feelin myself
Fuck everyone else
gotta remember that nobody's better than anyone else, here
do you need some time to think it over?
Look what they do to you
Look what they do to me
You must be joking if you think that either one is free , here
Get up off your knees girl
Stand face to face with your God
And find out what you are
(Hello my name is Human)
Hello, my name is human
And I came down from the stars
(Hello my name is human)
I'm ready for love and I'm ready for war
But I'm ready for more
I know that nobodies ever been this
Fucking ready before
Do you need some time to think it over
So figure it out or don't figure it out
I figured it out
The bigger the river
The bigger the drout
Get up off your knees boy
Stand face to face with your god
And find out what you are
(Hello my name is human)
Hello, my name is human
And I came down from the stars
(Hello my name is human)
Fire world I love you
Fireworld
I'm up off my knees girl
I am face to face with myself
And I know who I am
And I stole the power from the sun
I am more than just a man
(No longer disillusioned)
(I'm not asking questions
cause questions have answers
and I don't want answers )
I came down from the stars
(So I'll take my chances
And what are the chances
That I could advance
On my own circumstances
Said what are the chances
And what are the chances)
Hello my name is human
And I know who I am
(I'm not after answers
I'm not asking questions
So you keep your answers
So you keep your answers
I'm not asking questions
I'm taking my chances)
This is one of those songs you literally never get sick of. At least I don't. Even after all these years.
50 years the next gen and the next gen will be listening to this, like we do with songs from the 70s and 80s
I can tell the others inn this thread are young. "ALl ThEsE yEaRs" LMAO. When you kids are in your mid 50's a song that is 6 or 7 years old is still fairly new. 🤣 Ah to be that young again.

His voice is so powerful, and so clear. "Hello, my name is Human, and I came down from the stars" is such a powerful statement. And probably true.
“The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.” - Carl Sagan.
No metaphor the materials that make up our bodies have existed long before us or our planet. Wild stuff.
Music is a gift from the gods. And some of that spirit, shows through it
And it comes to find out that my instinct about me having a four-year-old daughter that died a few years back is true it's true

This comment is underrated
This song is so amazing. No matter how many times I play it, it speaks to me on different levels. Just what the soul needs, the human soul.
That chorus is giving me goosebumps. Dude has some pipes.
This song on full blast in earbuds while walking/exercising is next level

This is so good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🔥🐺
My mom really loved this song and I immediately knew I recognized it when I decided to listen to it today.
She passed away in 2021 and I miss her dearly. I find it interesting that I was able to come across this just by chance

I have a song that reminds me of a loved one who passed. My musician husband told me “When we attach a song to someone we no longer have, and that feeling every time we hear it, we have immortalized that person.” Maybe not to the rest of the world, but your mom didn’t mother the world, she mothered you. I hope you smile when hear this song.
I was homeless. I had a phone and earphones ofcourse. Crazy what becomes easy to have as life goes on. But anyway this song, while I was walking in -20/30 degree weather in Montana, pushed me forward. I cant explain it. It was what I needed to hear at the time I needed to hear it. Mad love for this song!!!!
It is a great song.
It's a pretty empowering song.

Bro you are fucking awesome! I’m on methadone now for pain but I kicked about 8 years ago when I found a doctor who gave a shit about people and what they had gone through! He saved my life and I give him a Christmas present every year telling him how grateful I am for his compassion! And for saving my life!
This song also pulled me out of the darkest time of my life and triggered my spiritual awakening. This band is a quantum epic band

I play this song literally 5 - 10 times a day. Prophetic and timeless. 🙏❤️🩹⚔️🥷🌎
This song proves once again that a song doesn't have to be complex to be utterly fantastic. It's basically just 2 chords the entire way through, but damn if it isn't one of the sweetest sounding songs I've heard in awhile. If you couple a great vocal melody and a good rhythm with a simple chord progression, it can be much greater than the sum of its parts. Actually, musical complexity often (not always) comes at the expense of quality. There's rather often an inverse relationship. Simple yet well composed is the ticket
Agreed!
@@oliverklozhoff7937 Maybe that's precisely why I gravitate towards great rhythms, melodies, and harmonies. they always sound best to my ear.
‘One chord is great, two chords is pushing it, three chords and you’re getting into jazz’ - Lou Reed. That said I love jazz but layering effects and instruments on two chords rocks too.
I don't think any songs are needed to prove what you are saying. 90% of all popular songs ever written are simple. There do exist more complex songs that use a wider range of musical elements which are also good on multiple levels and are to be admired by those who enjoy them. Both are good and neither denies that of the other. Unless its a toxic internet elitist troll (of which there are many lol).
I respect the simple stuff but t gave you never listened to TOOL that is a spiritual experience 🌞❤️🎸🎹

Do it and thank me later 🤘🙏🎸!!!!!!
I've been listening to music for 43 years now, too, and found Highly Suspect earlier this year while playing and loving Royal Blood, and I fing adore this group, I would freak out if I could get to see these guys, live music is an undescribably amazing thing to get to be a part of, must've been incredible to be there, and Johnny Stevens is a pretty easy guy to watch while listening to, too, that's quite a beautiful man, 😁 irrelevant, yeah, but not a bad thing, but I've come to find that I haven't played one song of theirs yet, not from any of their albums, that I've felt like I wanted to skip past, not a one, and very few bands have that talent or sound or whatever other word that could be used there to label what happens when real musicians can get together and produce such magic, I mean great shit, like what Highly Suspect gives us, I really REALLY like this group, sorry, music is so important and finding stuff worth getting excited over, and most isn't, most bands but not all are like blah or ok or just good, I think there are bands and then there are groups and those are the real deal I know what I mean by that there's just a thing the really good ones have that most bands are lacking even when the music made, for whatever genre ppl feel must be applied to their sound, is good it's more a feeling of that's good enough but this guy sounds like this guy and that band is definitely whatever the genre happens to be idk I have a way of knowing the ones I'm going to come to love and the ones who are eh like The Neighborhood good but could be so much more maybe and then the Imagine Dragons and Coldplays I don't know how else to explain what I mean but Highly Suspect is one of those "real bands" that everyone needs to hear, all of their music not just what's played for you, they're worth it ☺️
What's up with ppl commenting that ppl need to listen to that band SLT from Highly Suspect videos, I did that and I was like wtf cuz no way are those two groups comparable in that way, they're not at all, I'm sorry I don't like to put down ppls art but, no, no, maybe if you'd quit implying they're equal to or possibly even better than (don't say that, plz, lol) Highly Suspect, or maybe quit doing that with musical groups, altogether, I don't know, then I probably wouldn't be feeling so mean and I was all excited to find a group equal to my Highly Suspect and then just did not, Highly Suspect is making real shit, you can literally hear it, can't you, that there's a difference between the two bands, I mean, idk, I sound rude but I'm not I swear I'm just a little surprised I think it's an opinion do what you will but try The Blue Stones and Royal Blood and Alt J and even Badflower or Nothing But Thieves, more groups like them maybe idk
Such an amazing song! The lyrics and with the current state of affairs with A.I., the video is still relevant today. Absolute masterpiece!

The video is amazing, the imagery is so spot on, and the lyrics go with how we are feeling. My boyfriend showed me this song a few years ago, we are gen x and have lived many hard lessons together including the death of a son, we scream this song and live it 100% every time we hear it to remind us that we are more than we are told

This band is everything. It's ridiculous that they don't get the recognition they deserve.
"As soon as beauty is known by the world as beautiful, it becomes ugly"
I love the song, musically gifted, and enjoy their lyrics, but they were one of the top 3 worst bands I've seen play live. So that could be a reason.
Nick D No way really? I saw them at the grammys and the performance was super cool and raw
@@Metalheadaches yeah. The lead singer may have been drunk or on something. He looks like he gained some weight as well which is fine, but he could be dealing with some other issues causing it. He didnt treat the crowd well. Proceeded to call parents assholes who brought their kids with them(about 15% of the audience half kids there). And had the audience yell the F word even after asking if kids were there. Stayed for 5 songs to give them a chance, but I had to leave it was so bad. Many others walked away too before I did.
Damn that's not cool at all, if they want to do such things at least put an age restriction or something like that

Years ago when I was in early high school, this song meant a lot to me. I didn’t have a phone (strict parents), but i did have an alarm clock with a radio built into it. 💯
Right! Cool observation.
I like your perceived way of thinking. I feel it means "don't be a bunny". "Get up off of your knees boys/girls". Being a Psychic Medium closely connected with Spirit and the Universe I feel this is the words of the song. "I know who I am".
@@psychicmediummariaroselue7300 "I'm up off my knees girl (A Robot). I'm face to face with myself( = A Robot). And I know who I am (A Robot) And I stole my power from the sun (Derives being "Rechared" as a way of being "Revived/Brought back to life") "I am more than just a man" (Transhumanism) "No longer Disillusioned" (Infers being happy with what once was thought of as before as a disappointment to self). The song itself (without application to the deeper context of its meaning) is fantastic. As long as people are able to listen to the music specifically, most songs are harmless, but when you search deeper for the "meaning". You can see that there's a dark and evil message. No disrespect to you, but I personally find it hard to believe that you would come away with its meaning being "Don't be a bunny". lol I think I'm perhaps, thinking too much, and you perhaps aren't thinking nearly enough. 🤓👌

And I know who I am (so you keep your answers)
(I'm not asking questions)
(I'm taking my chances)
Something about being told to be face to face to God, but then “I’m face to face with myself” is so enlightening and invigorating to me. It gave me shivers the first time listening
''I went to god just to see, and i was looking at me, saw heaven and hell were lies, when im god everyone...'' -The Reflecting God by Marilyn Manson. That was made quite some time ago by now!
Its about fallen angels and there shells this is how they are coming back
@@USAhollowpoint777 Lol you should look up the real meaning behind the song because that is definitely not it
He's saying as we are human we aren't to lose sight of that. When they look in the mirror they see a God.
Satan let's this happen that we see ourselves as God because we have the ability to control our future.
Real is real music. That goes for all genres
Incredible. These lyrics with these true musicians get better each time I emmerse myself. Thank you kindly ❤
I could listen to this song on loop. Just when I thought this song meant one thing- I hear it again and it means something else
I'm feelin' the way that I'm feelin' this song.
It’s fucking awesome reading these messages after finding enlightenment in my life. Somehow this song has been played everyday of my life for the last 3 months. In the process I found my confidence, my strength, myself.
This song gives me hard fought for tears in my eyes. I can't explain why but I cry every time and feel like I'm not a waste of organic matter
Just here to say you matter, bro.
I wish more of Highly Suspect sounded like this. I love this song so much from them.
What about Lydia? is a good song too
I'm sure their new album will sound more like this cuz of its success and the band evolving
Do you guys know of other bands that sound like this?
I have the same wish.
Ebvardh Boss cleopatrick
I love the visual and lyrical meanings of this video. The woman is a machine and he says he's face to face with his self. Confirms everything.
Como essa música tem mais de 100 milhões de views e eu nunca tinha visto? OBRIGADO SPOTIFY
it's not as dynamic as others song it's more simple and that's the genius of it does it at such an amazing level
So much soul! Legendary song!
From The Moment I Heard This Song I Knew That It Was Going To Be One Of My Favorite Songs If Not The #1. It Turned Me On To Highly Suspect. 💯💯🎯🎯
This song got me into the band. One line alone did it "the bigger the river, the bigger the drought" God damn, that's so true for so many things.
I thought it was the bigger the river the bigger the trout
@@dannysult4456 me to
I actually thought he said ''the bigger the trout'' the first time I heard this, and was turned off a little bit.... Glad I listened to it again.
i always thought he said TROUT LOL
I feel like trout makes more sense honestly because it's not like bigger rivers are more likely to dry up or something. I mean it's not even like droughts are a thing that ever happens to many rivers outside of dry climates, so I can't see why it would make sense even if you meant "well, when it does eventually happen the drought would be bigger if enough water dissapeared from a big river". While bigger fish in a bigger habitat makes all kinds of sense.
It's obviously not literal but the metaphor should still make sense, and as a metaphor the trout line could obviously have plenty of meaning based on the context so I don't really know why it would "turn anyone off" and "drought" fixed it for them.
But anyway, are anyone even sure if it's supposed to be trout or drought? Because I'm sure you could hear both now if you try to listen for one or the other.
Dont have a sad backstory to share just a good song.❤
I heard this song today. I have heard it somewhere at sometime. It is almost midnight and I played it over and over today. I love it .
one of the most beautyyful lyrics I've ever heard. Just can't get tired !
It's amazing!!! This song hits home so hard......it came out at my lowest point, and is there at my rise....
Look what they do to you, look what they do to me,
Must be joking if you think either one is free.......
The song "My Name Is Human" by Highly Suspect is an anthem of self-empowerment and acceptance. It is a call to recognize both the value and interconnectedness of all human beings, no matter how different they may be, and stand up for what they believe in. The lyrics emphasize that one must find strength within themselves and not allow others to dictate their decisions. identities The chorus repeatedly proclaims, "Hello, my name is human," to emphasize the importance of the individual and the belief that no one is better than anyone else. The song ends with the singer accepting his own power, saying that they will take risks and will no longer be disappointed.
This is so good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺🤘🐺🤘
I will listen to it now.
