I dont think you needed to change over the harness to keep the cruise control and radio control. I think the extra connector is for the base model z.

Good job. The one reason I didn’t go for a quick release and new wheel was because I wanted to keep cruise control. Now you have solved my problem. Will be doing mine soon.

I have a 2014 370z & there's a second connector slot on the base of the steering column across from the slot thats meant for the steering wheel controls.
Q: Are you or is anyone aware off what that other connector slot is for?
Please don't use that torque wrench go remove bolts! Use a ratchet or if you need the extra leverage a breaker bar.

I know I’m 3 years late but I’m having this problem to this day.. I did everything you’ve done and my horn/ cruise control do not work at all.. but when I lock my doors with my key fob the horn beeps just fine

When you take the stock wheel off and add the new one did it make your air bag sensor on your dash go off? Because if so that would be annoying
Gus gustavo that’s what the resistors are for. So the air bag light don’t go off

Thanks for showing us how you connect the horn. It's rare to find a good video without people cutting up their OEM harness wire, for the horn. I didn't have to do that when I installed an Aftermarket Steering wheel on my Accord. I lost my Red SRS resistor when I was clean my car, so my Airbag light stays on. I need to purchase one, so I can turn that light off. My horn works as well.

Could you have just left the oem wiring system instead of swapping the pins and have buttons still work the same? Also do you know where to get resistors for air bags if they didn’t come with your set of stuff. Thanks I’m advance
Man this video is super helpful!! I installed my quick release last summer and I wanted to keep my cruise control but didn't want to go through the trouble on figuring out how to do so. You made this process seem so simple! I'm definitely going to have to redo this install just for that! Love your work man!
You still got full column tilt motion? May be a silly question but I drive a silverado and a Tahoe... I assume you do right?

Is the short hub universal?
I just installed my nrg hub and quick release with a grip royal wheel but i had to put that spinning think with the white plastic(i think its the steering wheel sensor)thing off to the right so my steering wheel could be straight but now my vdc and slip light stay on can someone help me
It seems the green cable from the original harness is for the horn. If you wanted to retain both the cruise control and music controls, can you just remove the green horn cable from the original harness, and swap over the extended black horn cable from the new harness?
hey man great video, i have a 370 and it was pretty much identical , my questions arefor the cruise control and horn.
my horn doesn't work and i tried doing what you did, and for cruise control i attached them in the right color pattern when i transferred the wiring and snipped the pink and yellow wires that were attached to the radio, but still no luck working :(

Just installed my quick release setup with out the cruise control. Ive noticed that my rear view camera has stopped working unfortunately, have any ideas what i could have caused it?
Did your cruise control harness wiring ever wound up on the hub or clock spring behind the hub and prevented you to go from full left and right turning wheel lock?

Did you just cut and tape off the wires for the music controls? I want to do this but if I got to re wire/splice a few together I don’t feel comfortable on my ability lol

i have a base and want to get my car tuned with arc features (you need cruise control to go through the maps on the tune) how would i go about adding cruise control? just find the unit and pretty much plug and play after that? or is it a lot more complicated? wheels and everything looks amazing brotha

Ok so I have a question. I bought a car that had the nrg setup like yours and a week after having it I decided to take the wheel of to check it out so after I put back on I've noticed now my airbag light flashes any suggestions as to fix it

i made my cruise work on my 08 wrx its cool knowing u made it more than just aftermarket wheel, u put some effort into keeping some luxuries of the stock wheel lol
You should have indicated how many ohms of the resistors and show a detailed way of installing it. It will help a lot for newbe's like me,

Buys an expesive wheel but uses a junk ass nrg hub 🤣
Never failed me yet and still looks great. Are you actually in the short hub manufacturing business to have such an educated opinion on the products quality, or are you just following what you may feel is the popular opinion? NRG is a respectable company. I wouldn’t buy their seats or wheels, but their hubs are made well- it’s a simple enough piece of engineering that it’s nearly impossible to screw it up. They use the same materials in construction as most all other brands.

Love the video! I have one thing to say don't ever use a torque wrench as a breaker bar all that money on a torque wrench might as well buy a breaker bar to . A Torque wrench are not made to be used as a breaker bar.
Are the wires for the cruise control the same for a 05 g35? Anyone know?

When I installed my NRG setup my horn dosent work so I'll have to take it apart and see if there is any other wires cause mine didn't come with the horn connection like yours mine just had the 2 air bag wires

how do u take off the wheel without your horn ripping out ?
it is just a connector you unplug. the connector is located behind the airbag. the wires have slack so you can access them prior to fully removing the assembly.

Since im also giving my interior a slight rework i wonder what size your tomei shift knob has? Im not sure which lenght i should pick and yours look just perfect to me.
