I'm so grateful for this video, I have been struggling on all the negative thoughts and couldn't figure out a way to get out of it. Your video gave me the energy to reflect, I feel lucky to see your channel and appreciate the sharing.
I'm glad to hear that this helped you a little! The negative thoughts were the worst for me as well. Like I mentioned, speaking it out loud and responding to myself with compassion strangely helped a lot. I hope you feel better soon!
I relate so much to this video. I was a wedding photographer for 12 years and I LOVED my job but it was very physically draining for me because I suffer from chronic pain. I kept pushing through and in 2022 my body completely gave out on me and a few months later I got diagnosed with a genetic disorder that explained all of my symptoms. I made the decision to close my business and I've spent the past two years focusing on my health and figuring out what I want to do next that will bring true happiness and also honor my body. But it's extremely difficult when you've built this business and brand for so much of your life and suddenly stop it and you just feel the weight of what others are thinking and saying and also the fear of letting go of something that's was so successful and taking a risk to start over. I've dreamed of pursuing youtube in a creative way like you're doing! I just found your channel today and I'm blown away by your videos, they're so inspiring. Being a lifelong photographer I have all of the skills, but definitely the negative self-talk and fear holds me back. But I know creating art to talk about these things is what I'm called to do
Letting go of something you've worked so hard to build is difficult but I truly believe only you know when it's time to move forward towards something new. I definitely felt a lot of fear of how others were perceiving my decision but in the end I realized that I'm the one that has to deal with the consequence of either staying in my current career or to take a "risk" to try something new -- not them! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! I'm incredibly proud and excited for you! I wish you all the luck on your creative journey
Ah, once again you’ve met me exactly where I am. Thank you so much for sharing, Rena! 💙 I’m glad to hear you are feeling better than a few months ago. I’ve been reflecting on how isolation / the pandemic has made socializing really difficult for me. I’m much more sensitive to noises, crowds, etc. I don’t “last” as long as I used to in public and it’s hard to make plans with people when I don’t know if I’ll be okay. Thank you for making me feel less alone and I hope others who see this also feel less alone in their healing journey. I am sending you this affirmation I repeat often: all good things are coming to you and Jack, easily and effortlessly!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and be here! I'm definitely feeling a lot better but it does feel like a lot of us are still having a hard time adjusting after covid! I'm glad to hear that this video was able to make you feel a little less alone 🥹 And thank you for sharing the affirmation. We're always told that we need to struggle in order to achieve "great things" so that's a lovely one to repeat to myself to let life and opportunities flow effortlessly 🥰
That first shot was so creative!! Thank you for making this video, Im also going through a similar phase myself where I need to give myself more affirmations. I learned from this video that it helps to voice the negativity out so that we don't keep internalizing it.
Thank you! I TAPED MY INSTA360 TO MY FAN!! YES, saying the negative self talk out loud really made me realize how harsh I'm being towards myself and I immediately switch to "caring friend mode" Also, you are so talented and I admire the way you're able to post engaging reels consistently and have the courage to film outside so often!!
@@wegofilm Hahaha omg thatʻs hilarious. I thought you used generative AI! Thank you, Iʻve been trying. Havenʻt been uploading to reels these past two weeks but seeing your videos gets me inspired!
Like I mentioned, the self talk helped a lot for me!! Just speaking out my thoughts out loud made me realize how hard I was being to myself. I hope you feel better
RENA AND JACK! first i want to say thank you for being so intimate with us; it's not easy to open up and be so vulnerable with anonymous usernames over the internet. i have no doubt in my mind that you'll come to find your calling, you already look much brighter :D PS very nice coloring on the video. so warrmmmy
AHH THANK YOU! I'm grateful to have a space to share my thoughts and experiences. I appreciate you for taking the time to comment and connect here too 😊 Also, Jack gets giddy every time someone compliments color since he's in charge of the color grading 💛 hahah
Hey Rena! Thank you for making this video. I graduated from college a few days ago, and I'm back home. I've been feeling lost because I'm used to having a schedule with school and seeing friends every day. Watching your video and hearing the lessons you shared made me feel better. Taking things slow for the next few weeks and giving myself time for self-affirmations. Keep up the great work, and looking forward to your next video!!!!
Hii Raymond! Thanks for taking the time to stop by and for sharing your thoughts! It's SO easy to feel lost or directionless when there's a huge shift in your daily routine and schedule. But congrats on graduating, that's such an exciting time!! I was just talking to a friend who's currently job hunting after graduating. She mentioned how discouraged she feels at how long everything seems to be taking but also stopped to ask herself why she's always rushing towards the "next thing" that she has to accomplish. And as cheesy as it is, we just have ""now" so sometimes it's okay to take a moment to pause to simply exist and take in the experiences we're having instead of rushing through life 🥲
