How I Film Vertical Reels
How I film Vertical Reels for Instagram reels. The most popular way to film a vertical reel is of course, using your iPhone. Today I wanted to share a behind the scenes and tutorial on how I film more "cinematic" vertical reels for clients. This can be for short ads, promos, event recaps, or business highlights.
I hope you find this helpful!

How I Color Grade my Vlogs *Davinci Resolve*
Переглядів 3,2 тис.14 днів тому
Today I'm sharing how I color grade my vlogs using davinci resolve. This is a much requested video so I asked Jack to breakdown his workflow. We colored clips from the sony a7siii shot on slog-3 and dji osmo pocket 3 shot on dlog-m. This is not a beginners guide but more of a walkthrough of his color grading process. He is NOT a professional colorist but this is just our approach to color gradi...

Nighttime Activities to Reduce Screen Time
Переглядів 1,3 тис.4 місяці тому
We've been exploring nighttime activities to reduce screen time at night. We found ourselves watching too much tv, mindlessly watching movies we weren't interested in, and scrolling on our phones before we knocked out. We felt it was taking a negative toll on our relationship so we slowly started to implement other activities that'll bring us closer but also help us unwind and relax so we get s...

It's summer in Hawaii I gathered some things to do for locals! It's basically summer all year long just wet and dry season in Hawaii but I felt like romanticizing this "summer season" and doing things that make me feel excited for this season. This one is geared for fellow locals so no beach or hiking recs but doing things that I was interested in doing this summer :) H.A.G.S ✨ MENTIONED ⊹ bon ...
Mid Year Reset | how to check in for a happier life

I can't believe it's already mid July. I decided to do a Mid Year Reset and share how to check in for a happier life. This year has definitely been THE YEAR of reflection, reevaluating, resetting my whole life. I feel like I'm readjusting to this new mindset but I'm feeling so much better than I did earlier in the year. In terms of "numbers", I may not have been as "successful" but in terms of ...

Very cool👍
the fact that you are carrying your bag while shooting the video at the same time is insane!!! kudos!
Nice color😊 name color?
the color grading looks so awsome
Awesome! Love the BTS!
Do you film in log?
Slog3
How is the lut you use? Congratulations for the video and the color, was insaneeeee🔥
Wow this video was really helpful. Thank you very much! One thing I was missing is how you set the focus? Thank you! :) you have my subscription
I feel like i can film all of that handheld but you do you 😊
tq. i need this
This channel is so underrated. I love this video and the BTS video. You should def do more of those. The editing in this video made it so easy to follow. Keep up the good work! Just subscribed. :-)
Thank you for your kind words :') I'm glad it felt easy to follow, I know it's a LOT of info!
absolutely awesome vid! i love the explanations :) grading in premiere is so restrictive compared to this! would it be possible to share the node tree? It would make it sooo easy to follow along with your thought process and developing my own way of achieving a similar look :D
Yes of course, he kind of breaks it down in the end as well! But maybe we can create a step by step on how to create the node tree in the future!
lol i thought you had 100k + subs while watching this :D it's rare that i watch a video without skipping but you managed to keep me watching! Learned a lot and now I'm heading over to your color grading vid :P
ahhh thank you so much, glad we didn't bore you with all the info! hahah
Thank u sooooo much!!!!❤❤❤
How were you able to screen record your camera?
This is soo Good! You could make a good short film and win awards!
I hope I can make a short film one day :')
Have you been hired for creating this reel and did they gave you money? I would really like it if you include more information like this in your videos! It’s really interesting for me and maybe others who want or are starting they social media careers or so…
Yes they hired me but I will say, this is not enough to be our bread and butter, we make most of our income from wedding videography! I just love doing these side projects as a way to get involved with the local community :)
I was going to say if you connect a USB C cable over to the ronin and your camera you can use the record button and the wheel to change ISO when shooting, it helps out so much not having to reach over to the camera record button, but this was amazing, and really inspired to go out and shoot again!
YESS I'm too lazy to connect it but I've never really tried. Thank you for the tip, I'll have to try it next time! :)
Really helpful. Thanks for the live experience! Please share the fonts you used in the video? Example like : PAU! Wide medium info
I just use arial regular!
Fantastic video! Thank you for teaching us and showing the details of what you do.
Found this very helpful
Amazing video!!!! Loved you showing the behind the scenes and then showing the finished product. Very informative. Reel came out amazing! Keep up the dope content! 🔥 #YupYup
Thank you for the support!!! 👋💙
ive shot a few events , and I like the formula you did here , and going to use it as an example , I like that you got people to smile and wave , Im always going around and trying to get shots organically of people doing that , but that seems way easier what you did and less time consuming LOL so thanks !
I always thought it might turn out more "cheesy" but in the edit it usually ends up looking pretty cute!!
@ no the people looked like they were genuinely smiling and happy , which is a testament to what you are doing and being polite and asking them , I’m going to use it for sure , side note , do you press record on your camera , I noticed you doing it , does the gimbal you have not have Bluetooth where you can press it on the gimbal , I may be mistaken though , I have the RS3 pro
@@Tonellacam YES, I need to connect it next time 😅
I like your job.
Highly recommend getting the polar pro variable vnds, yes it is expensive BUT you won’t be get that vignetting in your footage
Thank you so much!!!
i love the color grading for this video aaaa
ahhh thank you!! we weren't too confident on this one so glad you like it :')
This was so dope. So inspiring. My ADHD is on 10 right now. 😂 I liked, commented and most importantly,I subscribed. Best of luck to your page and business. Hawaii is on the Bucket list ❤
Hahah I appreciate the support!! <3
Amazing video. Very ease and clean
This is so nice!!
What ND filter are you using? And do you any mist filter
Thank you for your time and effort in creating such an informative video. Appreciate you showing your thinking and the BTS of your work! Keep creating :)
Love this!!! You just popped up on our feed and you’re giving me so much inspo! We are about to make the move back to Oahu full time. I can’t wait to start filming over there and surfing and getting back to our little community on the north shore!
now in premier pro please :c
we don't use premiere 😭😭
调色好舒服呀,内容也超赞的。我决定芬妮了 ,高小姐。
i love the vibes in your video and your style! keep going! 🔥
Awesome video!! Just curious, are you filming the BTS with the pocket 3?
Thank you! I'm using the sony a7siii on a zeiss 35mm f/1.8 ✨
The video was so helpful! Can u also pls share your export settings for reels? I am having trouble with my quality🙏🏾
you can connect the dji to your camera and press play directly from it via bluetooth :) great video btw!
thank you for the tip!! that would make it so much easier hahah
I shoot reels everyday for a living, I thought I would get bored and switch away from this video, but I enjoyed it. Very informative, and well put together. You earned a subscriber from the Caribbean. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for supporting, glad to hear you enjoyed the video :)
Loved this - so informative and the reel came out so well!
