Lyrics:
Bell bottom blues, you made me cry
I don't want to lose this feeling
And if I could choose a place to die
It would be in your arms
Do you want to see me crawl across the floor to you?
Do you want to hear me beg you to take me back?
I'd gladly do it because
I don't want to fade away
Give me one more day, please
I don't want to fade away
In your heart I want to stay
It's all wrong, but it's all right
The way that you treat me baby
Once I was strong but I lost the fight
You won't find a better loser
Bell bottom blues, you made me cry
I don't want to lose this feeling
And if I could choose a place to die
It would be in your arms
Bell bottom blues, you made me cry
I don't want to lose this feeling
And if I could choose a place to die
It would be in your arms
Bell bottom blues, don't say goodbye
I'm sure we're going to meet again
And if we do, don't you be surprised
If you find me with another lover
Bell bottom blues, you made me cry
I don't want to lose this feeling
And if I could choose a place to die
It would be in your arms
[Outro]
I don't want to fade away
Give me one more day please
I don't want to fade away
In your heart I long to stay

00:05 Eric Clapton - Bell Bottom Blues
#EricClapton #BellBottomBlues #Vault
Clapton is like wine, he gets better and better as time goes on
My first boyfriend, Danny, would play this to me while we sat on his electric blue charger. Always brings a smile to my face. Sadly, he passed away at age 31. We will surely meet again in heaven.
I think Eric Clapton deserves a movie biography about his life and songs .
Yes with Gary Oldman playing him
Definitely!
Life in 12 Bars its on my DVR. He wanted to explain himself before he passes I think it could be a mini series its just a tidbit of Eric. I also have 6 String Stories a book by Eric. I have all the Crossroads DVD,s but 2023 its not out yet. I was fortunate to be there. ❤ Forever Fan❤
@@kathif17 I've been a longtime fan, and I've read the book about his life (so far). Movie might be a little premature, but when it does happen (and after he's gone)
, it will be EPIC!!
Not really
Billy Preston on Hammond B3….good Lord!! RIP my brother!!
Lawdy lawd lawd, that's mynig! Total soul brotha!
I can not understand how anyone could dislike this beautiful and touching song.
I used to hate this song, and then I saw this version. This is beautiful
The dislikes cos the song ended
I agree
Maybe they know Pattie Boyd...the song is about her..
@@MikkaZKitkanot sure why that would make them hate the song. Tribute to her, he knew he couldn't have her but...
The late great Billy Preston
"You won't find a better loser" caught me right in the throat.
...Bobby came up with that whole verse....and the refrain, " do you wanna see me crawl across the floor,..."
@@garyfield56-I love Bobby Whitlock
Mine is “im sure were gonna meet again. And if we do, dont you be surprised....if you find me with another lover”. Complicated breakout
Great song. I'm a one man band on youtube. Hope you can enjoy one of my songs.
Do TELL!!! How's That???
Billy Preston on keys, Nathan East on bass make this a super group.
This song never gets old.
I agree.
Don't worry Clapton.
You never fade away.
It still blows my mind that a guy who looks like an accountant or a priest can have legendary voice, talent, and a voice like this man. God bless Eric Clapton.
Look into his early days he was the definition of cool ,everyone use to be groovy. Iwant bell bottoms to come back...
Ever since his sons sad death hes focused on composing and now age hes heartbroken and not groovy...
If I could choose a place to
Die it would be in your arms
Wow.
"I don't want to fade away...You won't find a better loser..." How many of us can relate to lost love with the lyrics from this most lovely song?
Eric Clapton gets better the older is he get. Like a fine wine
The magical thing about this song is that it doesn't feel much personal to a lotta young people but with the course of life experiences, they realize that this song is super deep and honestly personal.
I'm just glad, that I learned to appreciate good music since my very early days.
*Thank you, Eric!*
Quite powerful 40 years down the road!!
Nailed it! 🎶❤️
It's so comforting playing guitar along to this fantastic tune
Pure talent no gimmicks just a regular guy doing what he loves to do
Anyone who has a certain person in the back of their mind that has always been there can relate to this song. Eric is a master.
Look at his face. Look how happy he is playing and singing, after 45+ years of performing. Talent + Enthusiasm = Awesome.
I would consider Eric on the top of musical geniuses of all time
Those fills of Preston just elevated this song...RIP sir
Just when you think there are no more tears, this wrings out any remaining !
😢
Love this version. His full band and the great Steve Gadd on the drums.
One of the greatest guitarist EVER
Man I've loved this tune since the moment I heard decades ago. It's always fresh.
Timeless music. Love the organ part
As I said before, I loved Billy and miss him dearly.
When I first heard this song 40 years ago, I liked it but I didn't love it. Now with 40 more years of life experiences I can really appreciaate the simple, uncomplicated lyrics and their powerful messages. "It's all wrong, but it's alright" is genius. Thank you, Eric, for all these years of music.
Thank you Mr. Clapton for your wonderful.contribution to the world of music.
My Husband and my song 40 years ago. Still is
When I heard my dad sing it before he died,, I cried,he loved this song.
I hear you...same here...
Sweet song now thats a talented man!!!!
Bell Bottoms. I remember mine, they didn't look good till worn at least 2 days. Dragging the ground several inches, my mom looking at me like she didn't know me. God rest her soul. The 70's were so good. The music was all real. Know what I mean?
i could listen to this for eternity
Me too, I played it over and over again!!
@@floritaruzza6148 I still play it often.
Me too. This is my absolute favorite!
Me too. This is my absolute favorite most song!
one of my beloved father's favorite songs...3 years ago when i found out he fatally crashed his motorcycle and I'd never get to see him again this song instantly popped in my head...i can listen to it on repeat imagining my dad singing it knowing he didn't want to fade away and that i will see him again 😢
Sorry to hear that, Heather....first Clapton song I listened to decades ago...will ride my cycle, listen and sing this song in his honor.
I'm so sorry for your loss Heather. It must be mixed emotions for you hearing this song. It was always one of my favorites as well.
Heather Conn ;such a beautiful song to compliment such a beautiful memory!😌😌😌
AND you will get to hang out with him and God forever !
stay strong for him
This is actually my favorite version of this song.
It is just phenomenal and very emotional.
Wesley Schulz from the lumineers has just released a cover version and damn its almost as good as the original worth a listen 😁
@@bastianhohnkemusic6781 thanks heaps for the recommendation, that was chill-inducing
I'm on board with that. Really solid
I agree. The mix on the original studio recording was thin and narrow. It drained the life out of a beautiful song. This is much better.
@@pgmorrow 100pc. i stumbled on this first then checked the album version... i was very surprised! that said, what can beat this arrangement!
Everything Mr. Clapton does is great but this is special and your right his vocals are excellent and consistent unlike many so called great vocalist!
This is my favorite song by Eric Clapton remember the 60 and 70s
Clapton has so many classics under his belt
true, but I shot the sherrif is not one of them!!!!!
Michael Ladd Totally agree!!
ironically, his son was named connor
I will never forget in 1967 listening to a bootleg album of Cream when I lived in the Village NYC We call The God on guitar...am 68years old and still love him♥️🌈♥️
Alejo C Morales Jr. Me also,I'm 63.
Best ever performance of this song, so emotional and passionate .
This song, album and man has changed my life forever
BILLY Preston!!!! 🎹🎼LEGEND!!!!🏆
Billy Preston always put on a great concert, I saw Billy Preston in concert at the Hawaii Summer Jam in 1975, he rocked the Island!
One of his greatest songs.
one of the greatest lyrics ever
if i could choose a place to die, it would be in your arms. i don't wanna fade away, in your heart i wanna stay.
I absolutely love Eric Clapton . He a amazing musician. And he has been growing every day. Always pushing himself to perfection!!!
What a great song and artist i love it.
"It's all wrong, but it's all right."
I will never get over the genius of this lyric. What a legendary performance!!
Hello I B

Do have a blissful day without stress.🌹
His voice is silk
I’ve said it a million times I LOVE ERIC CLAPTON
This song is definitely a 10/10 in any version! Just perfect!
Beautiful 😍😍😍
2020 pandemic, never sounded better. During this awful time in our world, Music from the time I grew is what is helping me through all the madness!!
That is exactly what I just said to my daughter today.
Amen brother...
@@suzvalentino1901 Bless you and your daughter Suz. I hope you find the same strength that I find in music. It soothes my soul!
not madness for everyone. For some, it has been a windfall. But by no means should we forget those who have perished from this unstoppable virus.
Same here bud.
Mr Clapton continually gets better with age, like a fine wine !
His voice will live for ever!
Bobby Whitlock's voice on Derek and the Dominos. Co-wrote with Eric!
Nice to have Steve Gadd, Billy Preston & Nathan East in your backup band..... damn!
Never gets old. Reminiscing those good ole days.
Clapton is great at everything he does!
Quite possibly the best rendition of this song. And Billy Preston just nails it, as always.
😊
Billy made everyone better.
also true
...He even kept the Beatles together for a short time even though they were on the verge of breaking up...
J. Andrew De Guzman the version of the Layla album is best by a mile
I bought an entire boxed set of Eric Clapton to get this ONE song!! #BellBottomBlues is EVERYTHING!!💙🎶🎸
Eric is the man and ,,Layla and other assorted love songs" was one of the best rock n roll albums ever.
BEST EVER
Let's not forget Bobby Whitlocks contribution to not only Bell Bottom Blues but near every song on the Album bar Layla Duane Allman made a good song Great with his superb slide playing.
You ain't shittin, brother.
You are in my heart Eric Clapton ....
It’s amazing that Clapton doesn’t think he’s a great vocalist.
@Rob Geist He admitted in an interview that he‘s an egomaniac with inferiority complex.
and clearly an incredible singer, half of his magical gift.
Hes not
@@rixxky499 He is. See yourself out, chump.
He's a total legend,both as a vocalist and a guitarist!!
Billy Preston is simply spectacular in this. Gives a whole new dimension to this song.
That's not Billy
Amazing version! Love Billy Preston' work on organ and Nathan East' bass lines, simply amazing.
Amazing performance!!!!
My favorite Clapton Song! Don’t fade away Eric! RIP Billy!
This guy... talent like no other.
Im 55 years Old and grew up with this song, I remember being 15 and my first love was 18. It was the song that always reminds me of him. I married that guy when I was 18 and had a daughter at 19. He passed in 2001.....I love this song
His Music is timeless 🙂
Wow thats sweet
Sorry
Yep, 1970 was a good year in this respect.
Danke für diese wunderbare Musik!
I do believe this is the BEST performance I ever heard of what I personally consider his best song.
This is what has always been my favorite "Clapton Touring Band"...so many notable musicians with him.
His voice is amazing also 😍
My favorite Clapton song...hands down
I love Eric's singing almost as much as his guitar playing... I think he's underrated.
Underrated...by who? Like what dimension are you living in?
@@StevenCarinci the 5th dimension!!
I feel like he’s not underrated but in this generation, he is.
@@sammie2893 THAT I agree with...maybe. This generation are unfortunately force fed corporate crap despite whatever innate talent they have. Lady GaGa is very talented but she'll never develop into a Joni Mitchell or Stevie Nicks as the industry won't afford them the time to develop. They go for the corporate-friendly prepackaging and quick $$$. Any day now she'll receive the lifetime achievement award. We are literally robbing the cradle.
@@StevenCarinci how is a rock god undertated??? This man couldn't have climbed any higher couldn't have given anymore then he did! Wow as I'm typing this I have goosebumps songs dont bring out these types of emotions anymore@@ thank you Clapton....
The pain of unrequitted love.
Beautiful music 🎶 they sure don't make them like this anymore, long live Clapton
Love this song.
one of my all time favorites. this stays forever!
here i am again.. listening to him. i get such a nostalgic feeling when i listen to this, but i like that feeling and it's quite familiar :)
He is an absolutely, totaly, completely perfect musician. hard to find music this good these days
Great song. I'm a one man band on youtube. Hope you can enjoy one of my songs.
Rebecca, you nailed it! Nostalgia is a great feeling
Hello Rebeca
how are you doing?
Thanks for your love, support and for being an amazing fan! ❤️
It's nice meeting you here
I was a high school student way back 1972 and all of us love to hear his voice .
Now iam 63 years old and still bell bottom blues song and more of his song was always playes by me and was appreciated by younger generation
Thank YOU ALL GOOD AND KIND PEOPLE SHARING THIS IN OUR TIME ❤ WE ALL NEED THIS WORDS AND MUSIC ❤ TO HELP US CREATING A BETTER WORLD FOR THE CHILDREN AND EVERYBODY ELSE ❤
Many great songs have a hint of sadness in them.
that is SO definitely true! ❤
Without a doubt the greatest of all time
I underrated his songwriting talent and that's saying alot. His voice matches the meaning of the lyrics and that makes it timeless for sure!
Sometimes I think Billy Preston is still with us, one of the greatest.
Winwood is absolutely a great guitarist 🎸 saw them in Los Angeles 2010! Took my wife and kid's
Greatest guitarist ever Clapton!
I had front row seats to a show on this tour, Clapton was at the top of his game then, unbelievable . And the big bonus was getting to see Billy Preston live , even played one of his hits , Will it Go Round in circles. ( Preston passed away at 59 yrs old about a year after this tour ended)
Love Eric Claptons music. He's a handsome gentleman.
so true
He just soooooo HANDSOME! LOVE HIM!
Hello Marsha
how are you doing?
Thanks for your love, support and for being an amazing fan! ❤️
It's nice meeting you here
Greetings from Denmark. ❤
Tibute to one of the greatest songwriters and musisians. ❤
"I don't want to fade away....in your heart, I want to stay." A smooth and easy classic!
Incredible song!
Used to hear this a lot on the radio when I was a kid, then forgot about for 40 years, never knew it was an eric Clapton song
Beautiful song
One of the best
I swear I never get tired of hearing this song all my life, i love you eric
This is the best version.. I truly wasn’t a big fan of the original., this however is gold !!
Beautiful trio of Talented Guitarists !
@Eric Clapton, You're my favorite Guitarist with Stevie Ray Vaughan.
I like blues, as Lucky Peterson said "Blues is life".
I also listen Fingerstyles like Andy Mac Kee, Calum Graham, Trevor Gordon Hall because I like so much Guitars, Acoustic, Electric, I dream to have an Electric Guitar
I often listen your Songs, Leila, Wonderful to night, Knocking on heaven Doors your playing of this song is the best playing.
Pretending, my Father's eyes, Bad love, Cocaïne, you're my picture of Blues and rock with Stevie.
I hope I could see you playing one day in Marseilles or Paris, in France, or I had to go to England, I know only Ireland and Canada.
Have a nice week-end.
Take care of you and family.
@Eric Clapton, only Gmail.
Love this song. Clapton is God
Simply Beautiful ..................................
The greatness of Eric's greatest songs are greater than everyone else
Steve Gadd, Nathan East, Billy Preston, Andy Fairweather Low
The best there is.
Cream of the crop.
And of course Eric Clapton, pure musical genius here
And David Sancious!
Yeah that's a very good lineup, but I also miss Chris Stainton on keyboards. He's always with Clapton.
Yeah. Only Chr. Stainton Was missen...
Robin Alexander Yes, these are not your garden variety of musicians. All are excellent. EC probably felt blessed to be surrounded by musicians of this calibre.
@@lorito32 Gadd is just solid pocket and groove and never fluff. The ease at which they all exude masterful badassery is one step above brilliant! Mr. East is hitting runs that are on point without being over-the-top. Everything and everyone is supporting the music and not showboating. Love it!
I saw him only once in concert. PHILADELPHIA. IT WAS GREAT. ALL ACOUSTIC. I JUST THINK HE WALKS ON WATER
I LOVE this song! It may be the best song I ever heard. I found the 45 at the Five and Ten near my house and got it with the money I made babysitting. 1973 was a good year!!
EC will NEVER fade away!
When in Cream he was mainly in the background and allowed Jack to do most of the songs however his voice suited all the real blues stuff and Jack knew that. As Eric has got older his voice is improving I'm jealous.
It's all wrong but it's all right.. That's love babe ❤️
Clapton still killing it !!!! Amazing song really....one of his best.Waaaaay way better than anything today!!
