    People call him an Uncle Tom just for standing up and speaking out on what he believes in? If that isn't racial prejudice idk what is. That to me says "If you're black you better be liberal". I think Sowell's deserves his own "courage award"

      "If you don't vote for me, you ain't black" - Joe Biden. Hands down most racist campaign slogan in U.S. history. Yet still many voted for him? I don't buy it for one minute. Liberals think blacks are naïve and easy to manipulate for political gain. Liberals put black candidates on a pedestal for show and treat them like show animals to create the illusion of equality of outcome. Rather than highlighting their talents, they just point out they are black. Black people are smarter than they think. I think most black people recognize this and feel they can not dissent for fear of being labeled an "Uncle Tom". In my mind this is an insult of envy and insults of envy should be worn like a badge of honor, not feared. Conservatives don't put blacks on a pedestal, but welcome them to the club as anyone else, treat them as equals and capitalize on their talents as valued members of the team. This is far more respectable.

    Thomas Sowell very intelligent and drops nothing but truth every time; only a few of us know of Thomas and love him, we support him but we are not the majority that whine and complain, we fix our situations and help others to do so!!

      Courtney Ellis , The welfare system destroyed the family farming also, When Regan came into office he turned corporate farm into welfare farmers giving them the edge over the independence of the family farmers who didn't want the government controlling for accepting the payments. So it destroyed people in so many ways.

    • @JimmyJaxJellyStax
      @JimmyJaxJellyStax 5 років тому +1

      Courtney Ellis So true, the government bribed the majority into the current lack of self-reliance required for prosperity, exploiting some pretty basic human weaknesses to free resources...but at such a catastrophic cost beyond money (though not immediately seen in the short term but rather the long term). It’s like a healthy eating habit, we delay gratifications most of the time and remain determined even when the results take weeks and months to unfold. The welfare is gratifying in the short-term (perhaps just barely) but absolutely destructive and reckless for the majority into the long term, seeing the overall picture. Perhaps the government made an ignorant mistake or perhaps there’s an even more sinister motive to strip as many liberties and freedoms as possible with an ever expanding welfare socialism state as the media perception seems to ever so proliferate. One of the greatest flaws of any governance seems to be an ultimate progression into totalitarian authoritarianism in due time, which also seems to be the case with welfare stripping away self-reliance of a population to make them more dependent on the authority.

He is, bar none, the most intelligent man I've ever encountered. He had more influence on me and my political beliefs than any other person. To this day, I'm amazed at how few people know who he is and his work. He is, IMO, Thomas Jefferson reincarnated.

    I didn’t know he studied under Milton Friedman. He also studied under George Stigler. Both are Nobel Prize winners. That right there shows just how smart and well educated he is. Interestingly enough, he dropped out of high school and joined the Marines. Then later went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Harvard, get a Masters from Columbia and a PhD from the University of Chicago. This is a brilliant man. I’m going to read one of his many books now after watching this video. I feel like this man should get more recognition in the present day than he does. He has written upwards of like 20 books. We’ve studied about Friedman and Stigler in every accounting and economics class I’ve taken.

    Even if I disagree with Sowell, I respect how deeply he thinks about things, even if he's come to different conclusions than I have. I dislike that this video treats the left as a monolith, however: The left is full of infighting and different ideological factions. A social democrat, a marxist, and an anarchist are all on the left, but would fiercely debate and disagree with each other. America and the devoloped countries also have "Social Liberals", which seem to be more interested in cultural virtue signalling rather than traditionally left concerns, so I call America's "left" pseudo-left.

      In the case of USA I think the liberals with good intentions and due to the open nature of the ideology embraced the left and the left's radical parts ate it and the liberals.

    Good video my man but the music and mood is so vibe killing never seen any of your other videos but if they’re similar in vibe you should try more upbeat. Liked the video tho just a little constructive criticism.

    The major mistake of this video is making the assumption that people are driven by facts. If facts were the main way to change ideology there would be no left. “Facts don’t care about your feelings” is a true sentiment, but it doesn’t win over people because the average person isn’t thinking critically, but emotionally. The right needs to do more to institute emotional arguments into our discourses because the facts certainly aren’t cutting it right now

    People will go though life and know who Cardi B is but not know who Thomas Sowell is and that in a nutshell is part of the problem with black American culture

    I truly believe racism wouldn’t be a thing if we release the tension and stop talking about it because we’ll for example your teacher gets mad at you for correcting them and gets loud as you respond with “are you mad because I’m right and your wrong” you continue to argue and the argument gets louder and Lourdes and eventually the security guard escorts you out of the classroom and you get suspended all of that happened because the student said “your mad because I’m right and your wrong” if he would’ve apologized and kept quiet none of this would have happened

      I get what you're saying, but terrible example. The teacher IS wrong and should not object to being corrected. I'd hope that the situation would eventually result in one less teacher at the school lol.

    Hey! If you are seeing this, I just wanted to let you know that Jesus loves you! He loves you so much that He died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead so that you could be saved from sin and the wrath of God! This is the Gospel; you can be saved from God’s wrath and hell if you believe and trust in Jesus! God Bless you all!
