What's your prefered sound? loud or quiet? My Hunt-Hub is very noisy to the detrment of not being able to have a conversation while riding and coasting. I do like the sound though :D
It depends. I like the Onyx hubs when I’m out taking nature photos. Quiet and doesn’t scare the wildlife. On bike paths, I like the louder hubs like the 240 and Stan’s so that walkers and hikers hear me coming.
Yeah. I have not noticed any issues with any of the wheels while riding. Any motion accentuates vibration when locked into the stand, so none are really that bad. They just look like it when close up like this.
@@mattdesmondwashere I've just checked how the onyx works. Cool technology but not for me. I use clone of I9 hydra and I love it with just a bit of oil.
@@vLef1 Yep. They have a different sprag clutch system than other hubs. Instant engagement and silent with low friction. They are a local company to me and I was glad to support them by buying some hubs.
Silence your hubs and you meet way more animals in the forest. You'll be surprised.
Haha not with the sound of my tires shredding the berms
@@adam418g evil evil. i'm old generation, will moral preach to all skidders :D

Why do hubs tickle that part of our brain? It’s just a noise but I genuinely do love the sound of them lol.
love the sounds but you gotta balance those wheels man
sick collection !!
Nah not really wheel balance doesn't impact much
@@PoorWorksmanship idk much about how much it affects riding, but still something that can be fixed

@@mattdesmondwashere no problem brother. just checking up so you don't get hurt. enjoy riding!
My BMX dont make any sound…
Onyx hubs are sooooo quiet.
Just put a bunch of grease in any hub and it will be quiet.
@@vLef1 That is one way to do it.
