- Fred, my ZONTES 350E has passed the 10.000KM mark and it's time for an ownership report. It's not all great but details of what I like and what I don't like in the video.

I do have the Zontes 350e about 1 month , with a1000Km check done, A perfect machine to ride the distances. Many Km's to ride in 2025. As always a honest review from you, great vid.

Try sukhumvit rd near pattaya tai. They have many there.
@@to57de my friend bought one superb. I have a forza 350. But the zontes is more modern better looking faster and have more options.
@@dixonmelvin7198 this will be my last bike so I'm a little concerned about reliability compared to Honda
Here in UK they are still selling the 310 version but so far few are ever seen on our roads, I have a T350T2 and its been 100% reliable so far.

Fred is looking good! And don't worry about dirty filter as far as everything is clean inside. When I reach 5k on the clock will definitely check the air filter.
Very popular in thailand. No major defect at all after launch for half year. Compare with ADV350 FORZA350 XMAX300 they all have some major defect.

You are a better man than me. 1300 km in one go on a scooter... Chapeau! I have a 500cc Aprilia Atlantic ('09). Technically identical to a Piaggio MP3 500. I like it, but I can not get myself to do a large road trip on it. I cannot describe it, it just does not feel as capable as my K1200GT or my VFR750F. This may well be in my head. Many times I planned to take the maxi scooter, yet still end up on the BMW... It may be the total lack of image. Yet at 72 I should not be bothered by that, should I? Thanks for the review!
Image is all in your head. I prefer touring on maxi scooters I find them much more comfortable then a big bike.
@@RideWithAlex You are 100% correct. And I 100% agree. And will add to it that riding country lanes and/or dense (city) traffic is much more pleasant on a (maxi) scooter. Yet anything in your head is difficult to fight... But I may get there in the end and trade my Beemer for a real big maxi scooter like a 650 Burgman or a 650 BMW. Not there yet 😊... And the VFR will stay, such a lovely bike!

Up to 130 km/h wind protection is great! Even at 140Km/h the engine does not have too much vibration! I would say it rides as good as ak 550 which is twice more expensive! It feels as fat as ak 550 and i did not feel the need for more speed in the city. On the highway 130-140 is ok, up to 150-155 top. Ak 550 will go up to 180-190Km/h top . About that rear tyre, remember the burnout? Even I change the air filter at about 6-7k! It gets dirty faster if you run the scooter in rain!
Hello alex, great video as always I just ordered the zontes E350 2025 model (green/black color). I was looking for something to drive inside Athens and for touring!! The price is ubeatable for what it offers....So I said why not????? let's give it a try I hope I will have a good experience like you!( And I believe I will).

the more I think about the more this scoot looks like the best option around, I don't need off roading or any fancy transmissions. A big comfortable generalist bike with stroage and amenities already accounted for is probably most what anyone needs. Unfortunatly I'll have to wait for the new models because they stopped selling the 350E here in favor of some regional 250E (that's the same price as the 350 so like why?) by eh anyway! hopefully the cameras on the next model come standard.
You could try to find a second hand 350E
@RideWithAlex there are exactly 3 second hand listed in the entire country lol. But also it's probably not a good idea since they pulled the model out so I likely wouldn't find spare parts for it. It'll be a mess to service or fix it!
Zontes is sold in Ecuador, where I live. Rode one of their ADV bikes at a demo ride recently, and it was great. No idea about longevity, resale, warranty, etc. Are Japanese bikes better? Yes. But anybody bashing Chinese made bikes don't know what they're talking about.

As for the costs, how much does the 10k service cost for a normal person for this scoot?
Oh yes, this Honda and Yamaha thing made you quite upset I see.😅 Don't mind it, just enjoy your scoot.

Engine oil was normal black, nothing out of the ordanary, a service like this would be arround 100-200euros but it depends on la our rates in your country. Parts are about 100 euros and it would take about 2 hours of labour.
@@RideWithAlex So the service costs are mainly the same as other brands services costs. Oookay.🙂

Consumption is between 4-5 L/100km service costs depends on your country so ask your local dealer.

Interesting machine i kind of like it but the air filter was really blackish i have a my little yamaha 125 nmax and after 9500km the air filter is really clean i was surprised by it.
Hi Alex! I bought the zontes 350e last week and actually I did 270km but consumption is not in line from what I've heard and read. I'm going at a maximum of 4500rpm and actually it says 70km left on the screen. How much km you do with full tank?
Btw I really like to drive it hopefully to finish 1000km soon so I can see the full potential.
I usually get the light on arround 250-280km depends how hard I ride it. I don't ride particularly economically.
Hello Alex, thanks for your 10K km report!! According to the manual, 10W 40 engine oil should be put in the gearbox? I have filled it with MOTUL 10W 40. Should I replace it -- fill it with MOTUL 80W90 mineral oil?
I have 2K km on my ZONTES 350E.

I know it says 10w40 but it also says you can use 80w90 gear oil so I went for the gear oil. It think you can keep the engine oil in the transmission if the manual says it's OK.
I use Liqui Moly Motorbike Gear Oil 75-90 Full Synth. I wait for the 368 ADV in Germany and for the 368E the difference to the 350E small :/
@@sandorbokor3022 u need Gear Oil GL 5 or Engine Oil 5w40 / 10w40 / 10w50 or SAE 80 Gear Box Oil look @ Zontes Manuel original Zontes Oil is 5w40 SN look @ Zontes China Parts
5w40 Engine Oil is 70-75 Gearbox
10w40 Engine Oil is 90 Gearbox
Gearbox Oil Range is SAE 70-90 :)

Nope, not yet. Liquid cooled engine usually consume much less oil then air cooled units, and I'm not expecting it to start consuming oil until 40.000km
I have no idea what a Zontes scooter brand is here in the USA. I envy you in other countries with the wide verity of brand choices compared to the USA obviously motorcycles dominate over scooters.
Salutare! Verifica/schimba releul de lumini, posibil sa aiba o lipitura rece. Spor si asfalt uscat!
Sa verific daca are releu de liminu sau totul e bagat in far. Oricum momentan cat e in garantie nu imi bag nasul in el. Daca pica se schimba pe garantie, oricum si acum as avea motiv suficient sa cer inlocuire pe garantie, si cunoscand istoriza Zontes vor fi de acord.
There are many electrical issues for the particular scooter online.

Considering the extra purchase price comes with much more expensive spare parts I would say no.
What about the rearvsuspension,all the scooters have the same problem!!!
rear suspension is ok on the open road, at load speed through the city it's a bit harsh.
@RideWithAlex can you please recommend me a scooter with the best suspension?imknow forza 750 is good,maybe a cheaper one!i watch tl508 but the plastic parts of sym is abit of same!!thank you
@cooktolivetocook for that big of scooters you have to try them out yourself, and decide which one is best for you. Suspension is a very personal thing, it depends on your preference so you have to chose for yourself.
