    I was just in Allentown, PA looking for Silverblade 3 center caps. Yeah, I feel bad for some junkyard cars, most cars there are trashed.

    Hey brother, since you’re a yunkyard finder, do you have any 08 intake manifold for sale? I was wondering if you could find one for me

    Hey Tyler, love the videos. What lift did you put on the black WJ.. also looking into those same wheels and tire setup. Thanks. Keep up the good work.

    • @TylerPotter
      @TylerPotter  2 роки тому +2

      It has a set of discontinued Moog UpCountry springs and the 2in rough country spacers for the lift. Thanks for the view!

    Haha good one! Hey, so if you ever decide to go with 05 throttle body conversion from wireless to cable your IAC will need revamping. You can do this by controlling the voltage. For some reason. 2005 and 2008 throttle bodies and intake manifolds respectively match very closely and there's virtually no interference or rough edges that can't just be sanded off. And you have a beautiful 70 mm hole. The big issue is switching from a four wire to a two wire IAC

    • @mikebarbetta766
      @mikebarbetta766 Рік тому

      Thanks James!

    • @mechsupernova
      @mechsupernova 4 місяці тому

      I did this, you can take the 4 wire iac and pull it apart, solder 2 50 olms 100w resistors across the pairs, add 2 LED's to help tune the 2 wire iac.
      Grab a DC motor control off Amazon put your 12V to the input and hook the 2 wire iac to the other side and you'll never get a smoother idle out of it. Turn the knob till the 2 LED lights you attached to the 4-wire IAC start flashing on and off in a constant pattern.

    Tyler can you get an open carrier for the rear 44A to replace the varilok to add a locker?

    • @TylerPotter
      @TylerPotter  2 роки тому

      Yes but you would also need the open carrier left and right axle shafts to go with the open carrier. Since the varilok axle shafts are different length. Thanks for the view!

    if looking for a H.O. motor not only are they in Overland but if the vin number has a J as the 8th digit, its a H.o. engine

    Tyler, i have an 04 WJ and the steering is a bit loosey goosey, my local shop recommended to replace the steering gearbox with an aftermarket Red Head brand. Your thoughts? Suggestions?

    • @TylerPotter
      @TylerPotter  2 роки тому +2

      I personally haven't had to replace any of my own and I haven't heard of that brand I'll have to do some research on it. Thanks for the view!

    • @jamesdewer
      @jamesdewer Рік тому

      If you're careful real careful, you can do about a 16th of an inch turn on your steering box and that should take out the slop on your box. It's more than likely though your tie rod ends and pitman arm require replacing

      @@TylerPotter H.O's are plentiful in Southern California. Interesting to see many in 2wd WJs. Can you do a video on the lunch box install in the front axle? Conversion from Vari-lok to the lunch. Thx for the video.

    The ho heads are the same as far as flow the only difference is the cam

    • @TylerPotter
      @TylerPotter  Рік тому

      Supposedly HO heads had different shaped combustion chambers for "improved airflow" and "unique exhaust valves".

    Paying an "entry fee," at a used parts place is such a money-grab. It's the only place where we as consumers allow this to happen. If you went to a grocery store and had to pay to walk in, we'd all leave. Don't know why we have all decided it's OK at a junkyard.
