The property is amazing however whats more extraordinary is the way you have explained it. The command of yours over the language and the poise with which it was delivered is absolutely impeccable.
Hi Udayashanth, this was never called the Club Villa... Club Villa is the adjoining property to the left (facing the sea). I'm sure you would have seen this in the neighborhood before you purchased it from Anusha/Jack. The property you bought was called The Villa Mohotti Walauwwa which lies at 138/18 and 138/22 Galle Road, Bentota (nestled between Lever Brothers Holiday Villa Shamrock/Shack Shack and The Club Villa) . And I must be very honest with you, Bawa wouldn't have liked the amount of architectural congestion you've introduced into the existing scene. You should have let it be with those 15 rooms and done nothing but reinforced the original structure of the property. Having lived here for more than 10 years with numerous visits to Bawa's & Bewis's estates and numerous Meetings here itself at the Villa Mohotti Walauwwa I certainly know what i am talking about. Nevertheless, you managed to own this masterpiece before me and that's a priceless achievement! Bravo and Cheers to That!
Activelense I just bought a new land by the river. 2/3 of 1 acre. And Bawa is my favorite architect. I had house and garden designs by Bawa on my mind about 5-6 years ago when I read books about him. Now I’m one step closer. I want to build something beautiful that’s inspired by Bawa. I was wondering if you can recommend me some good architects in Sri Lanka?
Beautiful home.
When the hotel feels like home , then we know it's build correctly.
Great architectural art !
Geoffrey Bawa the god of tropical modernism

Thilina Dananjaya Sorry for the late response. Are You still looking for an architect?
Tony Turner he can be bitter and correct at the same time. Bawa would not have liked the tizzy, monogrammed wingback chairs either.
Tony Turner Neither, Tony. I am airing my doubt that he would have agreed with monogramming.
I want this drawing, can I get
