Very nice video. the reasons why our houses in Greece were painted with lime are 3 1 reflection of light with the result of keeping cool in the summer. 2nd, calcium kills all germs. the outside of the houses, the yards, the terraces, the fences and the trunks of the trees (the ants are not gone and they are not sick) after curing a serious illness, they painted with diluted slaked lime for disinfection. 3rd, it was a cheap material that was everywhere in homes and when it was a home. it was well-kept and freshly painted because the color needed constant renewal, it showed that the housewives were worthy and clean. This job required a lot of work and skill. They knew how thin it should be. It should be almost transparent, so that it turns white when it dries, but not so thick that it becomes like wallpaper with the result that it comes off the walls or peels off. the only downside is that if you paint with slaked lime (traditionally the one that was sold for building constructions, no other type of color can be used on top. it will have to be scraped off everything to get a different color) the blue and white smells of Greece, it is the impression of the colors of our nature, this different light of the sun that you will only feel if you see it, and this deep blue together with the blue of the sea. The stairs need a guard rail. It can be very dangerous without guard rails. I lived in a small house with stairs with no guard rails and thought nothing of it. Till I fell down it one day, there was nothing to grab on to, and I badly broke my ankle! I still don't have the full range of motion in it, after 10 yrs! Also, our neighbour, who lived in an identical townhouse, fell down her stairs because she got up during the night and wanted to go downstairs to the kitchen. She lost her footing, fell from the top of the stairs, on to the hard tiled floor below, and cracked her head wide open, spilling her brain over the floor. She of course was dead. The company who owned the townhouses, quickly put in guard rails on the stairs of all the houses after that. We should have all sued them, but we just didn't think of it at the time. Put guard rails on the stairs.
So sorry about your story. Hope you get well soon. Many countries have their own construction standards, and certainly stair railings are mandatory, and there are clear regulations on railing height.❤❤

They are equal to the price of a typical home in California. If I had 1 million dollars in hand, I would go to Southeast Asia. Specifically, in Vietnam, buy a 5000m2 plot of land facing the sea and build a villa for 300,000$. Holding 1 million dollars here, you will live like a king, go everywhere, eat everything you like, do anything as long as it doesn't break the law. The stairs need a guard rail. It can be very dangerous without guard rails. I lived in a small house with stairs with no guard rails and thought nothing of it. Till I fell down it one day, there was nothing to grab on to, and I badly broke my ankle! I still don't have the full range of motion in it, after 10 yrs! Also, our neighbour, who lived in an identical townhouse, fell down her stairs because she got up during the night and wanted to go downstairs to the kitchen. She lost her footing, fell from the top of the stairs, on to the hard tiled floor below, and cracked her head wide open, spilling her brain over the floor. She of course was dead. The company who owned the townhouses, quickly put in guard rails on the stairs of all the houses after that. We should have all sued them, but we just didn't think of it at the time. Put guard rails on the stairs.
So sorry about your story. Hope you get well soon. Many countries have their own construction standards, and certainly stair railings are mandatory, and there are clear regulations on railing height.❤❤
I remember seeing these model homes and they presented nicely, but ONE MILLION DOLLARS for a tract home with Mello Roos taxes? Property taxes must be around $1,800 month (or more) plus two separate association fees ? Yowzer 😮
They are equal to the price of a typical home in California. If I had 1 million dollars in hand, I would go to Southeast Asia. Specifically, in Vietnam, buy a 5000m2 plot of land facing the sea and build a villa for 300,000$. Holding 1 million dollars here, you will live like a king, go everywhere, eat everything you like, do anything as long as it doesn't break the law.
